Basing this on two things…read more.. Yesterday I needed some minor help with a camera I just bought. He took care of it at no charge. I had bought some black and white film many years ago but that was about it, everything digital since 2008. I doubt he recognized me except maybe from seeing me read on a table out on the plaza outside. Six years ago or so, a friend had dozens of her own 3-D metal sculptures, basically all black. Large and highly 3 dimensional. She asked if I could photograph them for her and I said no, since one window captured all the blue sky light and the other one faced the sun so light balance was impossible. I tried and showed her that I couldn't do what she needed. She called S L and the owner came over with lights and reflectors and took pictures of all the sculptures. You could see the depth of shadows very clearly in every shot with no color tone at all. She was very happy with the work.

I get it, I am not the professional (it's not my job, right?) and didn't know what resulotion pics had to be in order to be printed. I sent him what I had, which had worked in other places by the way, but it wasn't good enough resolution for them, which I get. What I DON'T get it being left there for 30 minutes trying to figure out what is the minimum for the photo to be ok, which this person NEVER ASSISTED ME WITH and didn't help me at all with. When I finally said that I was surprised because other places were fine, he literally WAVED ME OFF THE STORE. I left the following Google review and their reply was SLANDERING ME. I will attach here a screenshot of my review and of their reply. I am all for supporting small businesses but for $25 for one print you may want to at least NOT BEING SLANDERED.

It's a shame when you meet a person who is incapable of doing their job, but it is even more of a…read moreshame when nearly everyone at a company does their job poorly. I cannot speak for the whole company of course, but this is the case with everyone who touched my order at iDigitize (except the delivery messengers, who were sub-contracted, and DJ the dispatcher). Highlights of this review for people with limited time or short attention span: -You cannot trust IDigitize's work- you need to double check all the conversions for yourself -Very inconsistent with quality of digitizing--and often make mistakes -More expensive than its worth/other places -Slow communication and bad follow through Waldo Mayo (despite the wonderful name) and the team of technicians foiled my order of 8mm, VHS, and film reels repeatedly. They gave me digitized files that only had 16 minutes out of 2 hours on them, they misnamed the files and copied one tape twice under two different names and then never copied another video altogether. I then didn't trust anything they copied and had to double check them on my VHS as well as 8mm camcorder. Unfortunately, I couldn't check the 1970 reel and I just have to hope that it was correct. They corrected the files for free after a long back and forth and then still did them poorly. The corrected films came back in a format that cut off the top and the bottom of the video content. I compared with the 16 minutes of the tape that they had done before and that one contained the whole picture. This is not excusable in any sort of serious or even amateur editing situation. I suppose only videos of your short granny should be processed here. This all makes iDigitize seem as though they both have no quality standards and do not understand the technology they are hired to operate, to say nothing of their lack total lack of care for their customers. From the moment I visited their website I should have known. Their price chart is confusing and claims: "Honest Pricing- No Surprises" ... be prepared for surprises! And: "Select from our ranges of prices- you won't be disappointed" They only have one price for each service- unless the medium is different, then of course it's more expensive. I discovered their prices for tape digitization are about $5 higher than other places' prices and thought it was worth it for the free pickup/delivery. This free pick up and delivery is treated as a favor to the customer, even though it is the most promoted element on their website. I was in a dialogue with Waldo for a month about how they can make it up to us regarding the latest error on their part and I aim to never send them any work again, unless they can offer any reasons for me to trust them. And about a month ago Waldo has dropped off from replying. I've spent more time on checking their mistakes and corresponding with them then they have on the job itself, for which I paid about a thousand dollars. (Yes, this is the same review that I posted on other Idigitize locations as my interaction was not specific to one location)

Further poor handling of B&W negatives with dust and dirt showing on the scan. The store manager contacted me on 03/29/25 to state that they would be unable to process my recent order as the head technician felt that he would be unable to achieve the "quality I expect", which is simply a scan without the residue or anomalies. The service is unfailingly cheerful and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

I was dealing with a serious issue--my CPU was overheating to the point where I couldn't even play my games. I had already contacted ASUS, and they told me I would need to send my computer in for repair, which would have left me without it for weeks. I also visited several Best Buy locations, but unfortunately, no one was able to help me solve the problem. When I came to B&H, I immediately noticed something different about the staff. They're not just employees--they're true technology enthusiasts who genuinely love what they do. While I was browsing, Ron approached me and asked if I needed help. I explained my situation, and from that moment on, everything changed. Ron really listened to me. He didn't rush me or treat me like just another customer--he took the time to fully understand the issue. Using his own knowledge and expertise, he walked me through the problem step by step, giving me his full attention the entire time. What stood out the most was how relatable and genuine he was--it felt like I was talking to a real person who actually cared, not just someone doing their job. After following his guidance, I went home and turned on my computer--and it was running perfectly. I can't even describe how relieved and happy I felt. It honestly meant a lot to me that someone took the time to help like that. On top of that, the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating on my way out, which just added to the overall experience. Because of this, I'll definitely be coming back to B&H for all of my technology needs. Huge thank you to Ron and the entire team.
