I was in NY for a work interview. My headshot was old and out dated. Lourdes was extremely professional and quite on time with the shoot and the detailed photoshop to make me look better than I actually are. She is my new favorite photographer in the city. read more

Rishika was fantastic and made the whole experience completely worth it. I was honestly pretty hesitant about spending the money on a professional headshot, but as soon as I got there she made me feel at ease. She was warm, fun to talk to, and really took the time to make sure I was completely happy with the photos before we finished. I'm pretty sure she even spent longer with me than the scheduled session time. The studio was very well prepared, with plenty of space and lots of items available for touch-ups in case you forgot anything. Online booking was extremely straightforward, and the final gallery was comprehensive, easy to navigate, and simple to download from. My only criticism is the pricing structure around retouching. I did the most basic package, and while I understand that retouching is an add-on, I think including one lightly retouched final image would make the package feel a little more complete at that price point. That said, I'm really glad I decided to do this. The photos came out beautifully, the experience was excellent from start to finish, and I would absolutely come back again. Highly recommend Rishika. read more

Meghan was such a professional and did a great job in making me feel comfortable during the shoot. The retouching team was amazing as well, they were responsive and the turnaround time for the pictures was very fast. I can't recommend NY headshots enough! read more

Meghan was super friendly, eased a nervous me through the shoot and high quality of work.

Rishika, I believe was her name, was super patient and helpful in helping me pose and eventually choose the best professional headshot. I hate taking photos and am picky about my angles, and she knew what I was looking for quickly into our session. She gave great advice and feedback, and was super fun to talk to. My session took ~45 minutes and time passed by quickly! read more

When my assigned photographer suddenly became ill hours before my scheduled shoot, I was given the choice of coming in later the same day or rescheduling. I chose later and could not have been more pleased with the results. Andrei was a pleasure to work with. He was relaxed, personable and professional, which made posing easier for me. After the session, I found out that he had apparently delayed dinner with his daughter in order to make my shoot. The hardest part of the whole experience was deciding which of the shots I wanted to use. Great experience. Money well spent. Much appreciated. read more

I had my Eras pictures taken with Andrei. He was very professional and helpful throughout the entire process. I brought a few colors/styles of clothing for the pictures. He was great helping me choose what would work best. Helped the entire time with posing/smiling too, very patient with my awkwardness. What I found most helpful was the picture review at the end of the shoot. I'd honestly have no idea what pictures to choose. Just the thought of going through all the pictures to pick the best ones, makes me anxious just thinking about it (lol) He went through all the pics systematically and helped picked what he felt were best for my Eras submission. He asked for my opinion while going through everything and made sure I was involved in the process. Personally, I just felt it was better (and easier) letting him use his professional judgment to help me pick the best pics. I definitely appreciated that help, made the whole process less stressful! Great studio to work with. Highly recommended for professional photo shoots! read more

I was coming from DC and was running late and they were able to make an accommodating schedule change to ensure I would still have my appointment and that type accommodation made me feel even more confident in trusting them with my needs. Rishika made me extremely happy and confident in my photos. I will definitely be a lifetime client of NY Headshots!!!!! Thank you! read more

I needed a professional ERAS picture and booked an appointment with NY Headshots. Working with Meghan was a game-changer. She just *gets* it! Right from the get-go, her personable approach made the process feel more like a friendly collaboration rather than a formal photoshoot. This ease made it possible for me to come across naturally, without the photos feeling forced or robotic. Compliments on the results have poured in from friends and family, making it tough to pick a favorite. Whether it's for work or personal milestones, Meghan's your go-to in midtown. Can't recommend her enough! read more

I needed a business headshot for a new job. Traveled all the way from Long Island to have my picture taken because JC Penny was not cutting it. Meghan was absolutely professional and amazing!!! She made me feel at ease and gave me many tips to get the best photo. She was patient and knew which angles would be flattering. I would've absolutely payed more money for the photos taken today; thank you for helping me capture the best version of me for years to come! read more

I needed a professional picture and booked an appointment with NY Headshots. I didn't really know what to expect and thought the whole experience of getting pictures taken of me was going to be awkward. Fortunately, Meghan is an awesome photographer. She conversed with me the entire time and guided me through the process. Instead of my pictures coming across as robotic/trying too hard, they came across as natural. I showed my friends the pictures and they all gave compliments, and a couple of them remarked how the photographer was really talented. The company also did a great job with the retouching services. I highly recommend Meghan! read more

Did headshots for linked in profile today -- Elle was soooo professional and the photos (especially the outdoor ones) are excellent!!! Thank you for making an awkward subject who hates having their photo taken (especially in boring biz clothes) so comfortable and relaxed. Elle is talented with photography and with people!!! Also, the studio is perfectly located in Times Square and they have everything you might have forgotten for touchups in the studio. Very reasonable price and very fast and thank you so, so, so much!!! read more

We made an appointment for my husband's ERAS photos and it was probably the most comfortable experience he's had taking photos, that too professional ones. We even had to reschedule to an earlier day due to some deadlines, and they were still very kind and accommodating. Our photographer Stephen was an absolute gem. He made great conversation and created a friendly, no-pressure atmosphere. He gave very gradual direction to transition him into different poses and backgrounds, and also gave us the rundown of what to expect after the photo session. He allowed us plenty of time to select "the photo" and also sent over all the other ones in categorical stars of our liking. We loved the system and process! Highly recommend if you're looking to get your professional photos taken! read more

Meghan was amazing! She went above and beyond to make you comfortable and enjoy your photography session. This was my first headshot in over 6 years and I loved the experience so much more than my first one! Thank you Meghan, you are amazing at what you do and so sweet! read more

I want to start by saying I searched and spoke To over 20 potential photographers or photography companies and I must say I made the right choice. I took my daughter today to have her first professional headshots and met with the most amazing, humble, excellent mannered, professional photographer named Monica. We were about five Mins late and she welcomed us with the warmest smile and most positive energy which made it so much more comfortable for my daughter and I. Monica made sure to explain every step of what she would be doing with my teenage daughter. I felt great knowing my daughter felt comfortable with her and I let them do their thing. I was amazed with Monica's knowledge and approach to every pose. At the end we were so comfortable with her we decided We will go back for another more in depth session. I will be honest I read reviews and I am one to take them as a personal reference so if you are like me look no more... my 13 year old daughter and I couldn't have been happier with the choice made! If your wondering what made me choose them over anyone else is the fact that their site is very straight forward but I called and got an answer right away. Not Only were my questions answered but the gentleman who answered my call took his time Explaining the packages and was very patient and professional. The gentleman was very welcoming and made sure I felt welcomed to call back if I had any other questions or concerns. read more

I had a very pleasant experience working with Meghan from NY Headshots. Meghan is an incredibly talented photographer, who knows her craft very well. She quickly and masterfully set up the lighting and background that suited me the best. In addition to her exceptional skills as a photographer, she has great people skills and is very pleasant to work with. My pictures came out excellent, and Meghan was very helpful to pick the very best ones for my LinkedIn profile and Bio pages. I will certainly come back for the next photoshoot sometime in the future! read more

Meghan was incredible! One of the best photographers I've had the pleasure of working with. The pictures came out amazing, I have already received compliments from family and friends. It was actually difficult to pick one photo since they all came out so good. Forever thankful to Meghan for her positive attitude and patience while working with me. I'll 100% be recommending her to all my friends and family! read more

Brought my daughter in for professional headshots. Very easy to work with. Booking online was a snap. Photographer was great at helping her to relax. Within an hour, we received an email link to more than 100 photos. All-in cost of around $150, which seemed like great value. read more

My experience here was absolutely perfect. For starters, I liked that I was able to schedule my appointment online. They even have a package specifically for ERAS photos, which is exactly what I needed. I don't know NYC very well, so the location close to Penn Station was great. I'm rotating right now in the RWJBarnabas health system, and would say that it was totally worth the journey from NJ. My photographer was Monica. I really enjoyed working with her. I don't generally love having my picture taken, but Monica made the experience completely painless- even enjoyable! At the end of the shoot, Monica and I sat down together to narrow down the pictures that would be formatted for ERAS. Monica gave very helpful suggestions as to the pictures she thought would be best for my application. It was super helpful to have another pair of eyes for this; I found that I was picking pictures where I thought I looked best, while Monica had a good eye for pictures that she could see in a doctors office. We made the decision on the final two pictures together, and I'm so happy with how they turned out. I got the pictures retouched as well, and they are stunning. I think they'll be a great addition to my ERAS application. read more

I decided to use NY Headshots and specifically Meghan after reading the reviews here, and am so happy that I did! Meghan went above and beyond to make sure we got the perfect shot, including going over our allotted time. Additionally she made the entire process very comfortable and even fun, which brought out the best in me throughout the shoot. In the end, I was pleased with several of the professional headshots and had a tough time choosing between them! I would highly recommend Meghan to anyone looking for a photographer! read more

Great photos and great experience. Never thought I would have so much fun having my picture taken.

Excellent customer service. I would definitely be back! I wasn't aware I had to book appointment but I was graciously attended to.

Had a great time here! Did not realize how much work taking a "simple" headshot was until having a 5 star experience with Andrei. The price you pay is no doubt worth every penny. Very convenient location and comfortable studio. It is clear that they are professionals and have seen it all! Andrei made me and my girlfriend very comfortable throughout my headshot appointment and had excellent mask etiquette for those worried about COVID. After the pictures were taken he took his time and helped select the best pictures from the shoot, although all of them were fantastic. I never once felt like I was in a rush or that he had other appointments to tend to, despite only opting for the most basic package the company offers. A true class act which unfortunately hard to come by these days in the city. It is amazing what a simple headshot can do for your confidence, and I am looking forward to using them for my medical residency applications. read more

Very happy that I chose NY Headshots! I was looking to get some graduation photos that I was unable to do last year at the start of COVID. I always hate taking pictures, especially headshots because I know how awkward I am in front of camera. However, a friend told me she got her picture taken here. Knowing that I need one for an important job, I decided to check it out. After comparing with similar other services, I found their price to be reasonable and the reviews seem promising, thus I decided to book a session. My photographer, Elle, made sure that I was comfortable throughout the whole session and did a good job directing me. I got around 200 pics with various backgrounds, indoor and outdoor, which is so useful for various purposes. In addition, Elle helped me picked out the pictures. The pictures turned out better than I expected and some people even complimented my pics. This has definitely been the best headshot experience I've had so far read more

I was looking for a location to get professional headshots done that I could use on LinkedIn, slide decks, and other business collateral. NY Headshots was a fantastic experience and the photos came out amazing. Setting up a time was super easy. They're located really close to subways so the commute wasn't a hassle. Whole process was really smooth, I highly recommend. read more

Stephen and his team were super professional. Managed to make me look good on a camera, no easy feat. I really enjoyed the experience. I will also be using the shots for years to come. Also, the pre-shoot experience with reminders and calendar updates ETC along with map locations was impressive and necessary as I imagine that a lot of their customers are busy and tend to put this on a back burner. Thanks again for this service. read more

Andre was great to work worth! I enjoy taking pictures but not being in them, at all. Andre made me feel comfortable from beginning to end and gave context to why all the awkward poses work in headshots for business use. All the different backgrounds are great options to have handy, and the outside backdrops give you a more casual option, if needed. All in all, a great experience, and actually turned out to be fun! A great price for the photo quality I definitely would not have been able to get on my own. Will definitely be using these photos for awhile. read more

Highly recommend for both quality and speed. Quality: Meghan (photographer) created a relaxed, professional environment, yielding business headshots that captured my optimal vision. Of one of the photos, a friend commented: "You look like everything you are inside in this pic." Quality work, Meghan - thank you! Speed: had a 12:00pm appointment and by 4:00pm that same day, was able to update LinkedIn, Twitter, and my website with photos from the session. Same day turn-around was highly valuable. RE: Business Headshots, recommend the "Pro" package (one level up from "Basic"), as it provides the outdoor pic option. I underestimated how impactful the NYC street background would be and turns out, they are my favorite photos from the shoot. Well done and thank you, Meghan and team! read more
