TOP NOTCH SERVICE. I am a very shy person who doesn't consider himself photogenic so a photo shoot is far from my natural habitat. However, even if you are like me, you don't have to worry about that with David. Right away you are greeted with treats and champagne and a professional make up artist. David goes out of his way to make you comfortable and gives great suggestions to those of us who aren't models. He is very friendly and personable so you don't have to worry about being intimidated and rushed by a surly photographer barking orders at you. All of my pictures came out AMAZING and the lighting was PERFECT (which I have heard can be a difficult feat with people with darker skin tones like me) and perhaps the biggest accomplishment of all, he made me, a person who never smiles in pictures smile in a natural and unforced manner that made me look both a lot more approachable and personable than I feel I do in real life. I definitely recommend David for those looking for top notch pictures, and especially recommend him if you are a person who is uncomfortable with taking pictures and need someone who understands and respects your needs. read more

I recently got to know David and his span of work that range from corporate head shots to weddings and press event coverage, to expertly edited product review videos, and while each piece is distinctly outstanding in its ability to fulfill its raison d'être (i.e. business, PR, family, etc.), there is a consistent sense of genuine authenticity that comes through across all of his pictures. As many of his enthusiastic clients have noted in the reviews, I do think that it is his innate ability to make you feel comfortable, confident and laughing; and his focus on creating that perfect moment to capture the most honest, beautiful shots without any pressure of time passing, that make him stand far out from the rest. I sincerely recommend him so that you can experience for yourself, the stark difference between a photographer who simply relies on expensive photography equipment and technical skills to get that decent shot versus one, like David, who is able to extract and capture the essence of the subject, which could be you! ...Although to note, David does have the awesome equipment and insane technical skills, too! read more

David Dupuy and his wonderful stylist took time and effort and make me look my best. I know there is much energy and thought that go into every sitting and all the behind the scenes work . . . retouching, etc. David is a marvelous technician who knows exactly how to help one pose comfortably while using a relaxed approach to put one at ease. He is kind, outgoing and professional. One particular thing that stands out was when I was being shot among a few colleagues, one of my colleagues breached a privacy screen between the photo area and the waiting area. David gently asked my colleague to give us a few minutes to finish which removed an uncomfortable audience. This was so thoughtful and really huge in immeasurable ways! It didn't hurt that he had chocolates and other delicious refreshments for those waiting their turn. I am grateful for two rounds of gorgeous headshots and look forward to many more with David DuPuy. read more

David Dupuy Photography offers the perfect blend of professionalism and that tingly,child-like enthusiasm that makes every photo session a fun-filled,memorable experience. This guy is like a kid in a play-park in his studio and I guarantee you, just like myself, you will often catch yourself smiling as much off camera as you do when on it.As a performing artist and aspiring actor I became aware that there are some key ingredients that are conducive to taking GREAT photos(let's be honest, anyone can take GOOD photos). One major, often unsung ingredient lies in the ambience that surrounds the photo session.A tasty ambience is the platform that actually enhances your posture and smile in immeasurable ways and there are few photographers who can consistently create such[ambience] in the enchanting way that David does.I'll continue to sing his praises to the world,he has earned it! read more

We have used David so many times in the last 7 years - it's like he's a part of the Knickerbocker Greys family. David has shot portraits, special large events, small honorary dinners - pretty much everything! He is extremely reliable and his photos are always exactly what we needed and special. He's on my short list of talented people who are also a pleasure to work with! What more can I say except there's a reason why we've chosen David every time we want to record memories for posterity over the last 7 years - he's just wonderful! Hesitant to spread the word as he is getting booked more and more for weddings in Bali and portraits in Italy! But We can't complain 'cause It couldn't happen to a nicer guy! read more

David recently took my professional head shots. I am not a photogenic person, and normally, choosing photos of myself is a choice between not-so-good and not-good. The atmosphere in the studio was fun and upbeat, and David was able to get the best out of me. To my surprise, I had several great shots to choose from. In fact, a colleague just complimented my new headshot saying "that's a really good photo!" David's a real pro, produces great results, and his services are very reasonably priced, its a win win for everyone. I'll definitely be booking David for my professional photography needs in the future. And you'll be happy you did too! read more

I have never done professional pictures before, and really not a big fan of taking pictures in general, we even put on make-up! I couldn't believe it but it was great and definitely helped make me feel even more confident. Im 28 and work in Real Estate and David did an amazing job at making the entire experience a very pleasant one. He even had Champagne for us which was awesome from the start. He was able to make me laugh a lot which captured the best version of my smile. I was shocked at all his knowledge about the dynamics of smiling, fake smiling, laughing which even made this an informative session! Thanks David! read more

We rented the studio as the location for my 40th birthday party, and hired David as the event photographer. The space was absolutely perfect for the gathering of around 40 friends, and David was a consummate host, accommodating and helpful in every way as we dealt with all the various moving pieces. I could not have been happier with the results of the photography - he captured so many special moments and was courteous and unobtrusive throughout the event. I would turn to him again in a heartbeat and absolutely recommend both the space and his photography. Thanks again for helping us pull off a fantastic birthday event! read more

I've been using Dave DuPuy for years!! For a while he was my best kept secret, but as you can see the secret is out of the bag! Dave has shot numerous functions for me from pre/post constructions shots of my apt, engagement photos, wedding photos, and I've even helped pay for him to travel with us on group vacations. It's so amazing to have someone with such a great eye, and who's dedicated to make sure you and yours get the best pics! The constant professional who has a light heart and warm presents, making some of the most awkward moments funny and comfortable. Highly recommended David DuPuy Photography! read more

David is an excellent, top notch photographer. He captures the essence of the person in the shots and turns it into an artistic instant of your life to remember and cherish. That's for the technical and art part and there's much more to say about his kindness, fun and witty, that makes you feel relaxed and happy to express your better self that he will then capture for you and make you feel like a star! Also, he's great with kids. That's a lot to say because it's not always easy with the tiny lovely ones ;) Totally recommend him for work or family photography !!! read more

For those of us who don't spend much time in front of a camera, David and his assistant made the experience totally comfortable, and surprisingly, even enjoyable! He has the rare ability to coax people out of their shell so that their true character and energy is on display and then captured in his photos. I was also very appreciative of the extremely high level of attention to detail that both David and his assistant Marjorie gave to my pre and post photo shoot requests, which further assured me that I'd be 100% happy with the final product! read more

From the moment I walked into his studio, I felt as if I was on a professional modeling shoot. There was soft music playing, a makeup and hair professional, and best of all, I was met with refreshments. The atmosphere couldn't have been more relaxing. David put me at ease and he guided me through the shoot so that each shot would be great. I was extremely pleased and ordered a second photo in a different pose and he worked with me to make sure I was pleased with the results. I hope to work with David again on other photo shoots. read more

David is a professional who knows his craft. We were there for a workshop on lighting and equipment but we got so much more than that. We had a lot of fun taking pictures at each other under his direction and playing with the great variety of lighting equipment he has in store. We spent the whole day with David who answered every single question we had, and at the end, he congratulated us for our achievements with a bottle of champagne. Who does that! Such a great experience. Thank you David Dupuy. read more

David is a really fun photographer, and very easy to work with! I was happy with the casual headshots he did of my teenage daughter and niece. He was able to guide them so he could get what was needed for the purposes of the photo shoot, while also allowing them to fully express their own unique styles. They had lots of fun! A kind and generous spirit, David DuPuy's love of friends, family, and humanity comes thru in the inventive aesthetic of his own personal photography. read more

David photographed my wedding and he went above and beyond what we had expected. On this special day we had some weather issues and the ceremony took place on a beach...so, we had wind, rain, clouds, and finally bright sunshine and unusually warm weather for late September! David's photographs captured our special day with all the personalities of the wedding party and our guests. David is a great artist and I would use him again and again! David is the best! read more

Beautiful space, warm people, delightful conversation and incredible food too! I loved our night at the studio. We were served the most delicious and creative but down to earth food, brought out and explained by the chef himself. I am definitely trying to return either to partake once more or to use the space to show my own work, for a photo shoot or just to catch up with some of the people who, in one magical night, feel like old friends! read more
