I was on a call when I did the walk thru with the manager on site, so I was rushing and didn't notice the trees by the pool were not cut. I called to let them know that trees around the pool were not done. And I was blamed for it not being done because I didn't see it when we did the walk through. The management went to telling me how much money 200.00 dollars it was going to cost him to get workers back out. I am still waiting for a call back to be scheduled for our job we paid for to be finished. Very disappointed with service I received. Below is the estimate of everything that was supposed to be done. Overall they did a good job. My husband had to FaceTime to see if the tree was cleared out enough…read more I had to be the one to point out areas that still looked really thick, had to ask about taking a large branch off. I would have thought them being the professional would look and know what to cut as they were on the pricy side for one hour of work. The positive side was they do haul off what they trim. Otherwise glad the trim is cleaned up and hoping it helps it.

I chose Texas Hill Country Trees because their reviews and ratings were the strongest, simple as that. Our backyard is all artificial turf and rock, so I was nervous about damage. Jeff sent a quote within 24 hours, included his insurance, and reassured me they work over turf all the time. That alone gave me peace of mind. The quote was fair, and the crew came out the very next day. They showed up on time, got straight to work, and every single person was professional. Before anyone looks at the photos I'm posting, I want to point something out. I knew going in that I'd have some cleanup to do afterward. With the amount of work needed, especially grinding down the stump, I wasn't expecting the area to look perfect. They're tree trimmers, removers, arborists, not landscapers. And honestly, considering the work involved, they left the space in great shape. The rest is just me doing the final touches so it looks the way I prefer it. Blame it on my OCD. As for the one‑star review calling Jake rude, I'm sure there are two sides to that story, because my experience with him was completely different. I arrived about an hour after they started, and Jake introduced himself immediately. He walked me through what they were doing and explained how they were protecting the turf. He was professional the entire time. I HIGHLY recommend Texas Hill Country Trees. Don't let one angry review scare you off, my experience from start to finish was excellent.

The crew blocked my driveway while performing work in the neighborhood and showed little regard for common courtesy or respect toward neighboring residents. Before the issue escalated, I politely informed the crew that I would be leaving soon and that they would need to move their vehicle. I initially allowed them additional time to continue working. However, after they ignored my requests made from my front doorway, I was forced to approach Jake and the crew directly to clarify what they were doing was illegal and I need to go to work. Despite my repeated requests, they became argumentative and used profanity toward me, including calling me a "bitch," when I confronted them and insisted that they stop blocking my driveway and move their vehicle immediately. When I arrived home approximately five to six hours later, I discovered several trash bags filled with organic waste left on my side of the alleyway located between their client's residence (my neighbor's property) and my own. The waste appeared to have been left behind by the crew, further demonstrating a lack of professionalism, consideration, and proper cleanup practices. I found the behavior of both Jake and partially the crew to be highly disrespectful, unprofessional, and unacceptable. Please do your due diligence when hiring so called, "professionals."

Reached out to a few companies and Al's quote turned out to be the lowest of the three I received. He was very thorough in detailing his suggestions for us and we eventually decided to zero-scape the front lawn. He gave us options to choose from, explained what has worked best for him in the past. He took out our existing bushes by our front windows, ensuring he got most, if not all of the roots so they wouldn't be an issue moving forward, planted 4-5 yucca plants, put granite rock down to cover the yard and our curb with a barrier around the whole area. We also went with a two-foot-wide extension from the side of our driveway that has 2" pavers and crushed granite so I could better get out of my vehicle since I have mobility issues. We also had him trim our huge Ash tree in the front since it needed it badly. Al was very professional, kept us in the loop on all decisions and got the job done quickly. His attention detail is OUTSTANDING! I would 100% recommend him for any of your landscaping projects, big or small. Our front yard looks great and now we don't have to mow it ever again!! :-)
