I must…read moreadmit that I have trouble with committment, as I'm always wondering "Is there a better hair stylist/brow specialist/nail technician out there that I haven't met yet??" but after my first appointment with Mariia, I just had to lock her down as my official lash queen! First of all, she's incredibly talented- she wants you to look fabulous but she will not sacrifice the health of your natural lash. I wanted very dramatic lashes- long and full but Mariia explained to me that my natural lashes were too weak and she was concerned that they would suffer damage. She promised that we could eventually build up to that level of drama if my lashes strengthened (which they eventually did!). Mariia keeps up to date with her training and certifications so she offers unique styles, such as Kim K and also...coloured lashes! I tried blue and purple and they both looked amazing. I thought coloured lashes sounded crazy (especially since I work in a very conservative office) but with her magical skills, Mariia blended in purple lashes in such a classy, subtle way. I constantly receive compliments on my lashes and it's so flattering because alot of people will even question if they are natural, since they don't look overly fake. I must admit, on special occasions, I ask for the Mega Volume and I definitely can't pass those off as my own but as mentioned further up, working up to having healthy lashes strong enough to be at this level was my goal! The whole lash application process can be very tedious, as you're lying down for over 1.5 hours but Mariia is such a sweet and fun person, you will enjoy the conversation as much as the end result. The bed is really comfortable on its own but there is also a memory foam pillow to rest your head on, as well as a very plush, warm blanket, if you get cold. The studio in Bloor West is fairly new so all the signage isn't up yet but it's a really nice, clean space and the decor is modern and chic with girlie touches. There is plenty of parking on the side streets, right along Bloor St or Green P parking lots (there's one right across the street on Windermere Ave).

Sofie said she could put a tip on just that finger and then out acrylic over the rest of my nails to keep them from breaking but with no tips and then polish. I said sure... As she is taking off my shellac I'm having my pedi. I got a neon pink on my toes and this is the only time I've had a nail tech out white under my neon which really makes it pop! Almost a week later and I have no chips and them are great! So 5 stars for my pedi! Now for my fingers...I noticed when she did them she didn't file the acrylic to make it smooth after it had dried and she proceeded to put my white polish on...it was really thick polish (it's old and needs to be replaced) and she did a horrible job...the owner say there the entire time and watched but said nothing which tells me he knows nothing about nails or nail art. I'm not one to fuss over polish- take it off and get a friend to reapply if I hate it that much. So I left, I tipped well because I know you need your tips to make money in the service industry and left....I could handle me not liking it because no one would get close enough to inspect it but me. The next day the polish was chipping, then the next day the acrylic was cracking and falling off my nails in chunks leaving the edges of my natural nail exposes which led to my nails ripping and breaking. What a nightmare. I've never had such terrible acrylics before...ever. My eight year old sister can also paint my nails better which is sad...because she's eight and has had no training. I will never go back nor refer people here. Worst nail experience ever.

I purchased a Groupon for a full set plus a fill in. I called her and she quickly called me back and we easily made the appointment for my first set of full lashes. I was quite eager to get in, as most women would understand, losing your hair can be distressing, and I was booked in, no problem, and my fill in was booked 2 weeks later. Natalia was not only beautiful, (not that that should matter), but kind, courteous, polite, friendly and professional. She was very sympathetic and understanding about my hair loss and was certain that she could help me. "Girls'n Lashes" was clean and cute and just perfect. Irene, the owner, greeted me warmly and led me into the procedure room where I was met by the sounds of cool Jazz (Irene's a fan) and a super soft treatment table. We discussed options, my physical limitations (hooded eyelids and glasses) and the look that I wanted (full cat eye). The procedure was quick (20-30 minutes). Since I was a newbie, Irene talked me through the entire procedure. At the end Irene added a few more lashes to perfect the look, she is meticulous and gentle. I've tried strip lashes before and they were heavy and uncomfortable, I didn't enjoy them at all. My experience with the Cinderella lashes are a totally different story.
