Nothing against the employees, but the management clearly doesn't require them to know anything about the product they're selling. How hard is it to point someone in the direction of a sweet white wine? There were only two people there and neither one had any idea. This stores layout is horrible compared to all other BevMos that we have visited. The beverages are everywhere in the store and don't have a distinct flow of traffic. There is large refrigerator section like other locations. Che k out was easy but stressful. Club Bev Members usually get an additional or a better discount on items inside the store. If you look at the items in the price the marking next to it says one price the next price says club Bev which means you get it at a better price. As we look around at this location we found some items that were Mart from $2.99-$.47. Which of course is a great price. But for some reason when you go up to the front and it is scanned it comes up incorrect as only half off so it came up $1.29. Which was incorrect according to the label that said it was $.47. As we try to make the correction with the register they were very rude. Now what I mean by rude as in blatant rudeness. We respectively corrected them to let them know the item was $.47 as displayed in the back so we had to walk back there to show them it was correct and then with attitude they asked if we were a club Bev member. To sum it all up he will not be coming back to the store at all. read more

Got asked for ID to buy water here. Had to go to my car to get it because I didn't bring my purse in to buy water. They said it's store policy and the law and that they could lose their jobs if the police found out they sold me water without asking for ID when they have a liquor licence . By that logic I wouldn't be able to buy water in any grocery store that also sells alcohol. I've also been in countless BevMo where I haven't been asked for ID to purchase actual alcohol. So I know it's not a forced policy on teh register it's staff discretion. The fact that a staff member can't recognise someone just trying to buy water who's CLEARLY old enough to buy water. I'm stunned. Also my husband was the one actively paying and he did present ID but I guess the person paying having iD isn't good enough to buy water in this store Honestly the funniest thing is this is probably the only time I've just bought water at a BevMo and is also the ONLY time I've been asked for ID Maybe it bugs me more than most because growing up and living in Ireland I stopped getting asked for ID around 18 so it's been frustrating getting asked anywhere over here after years of just buying alcohol no questions asked. You need ID there to even enter the store (according to their sign) but nobody is at the door checking. According to that logic, nobody should be able to enter grocery stores without an ID. There are a lot of d*@b, ridiculous reviews on here by individuals who are entitled. They have to card you because of underage people who are trying to constantly buy alcohol illegally. The way some of people act, comes across like they are not old enough mentally to buy alcohol. Any place that sells alcohol is regulated by state law and can be shut down if they don't follow these laws, be pissed off at the state of California. So ridiculous how children act when they don't get their way. This irritated the heck out of me when I worked in the service industry, but it was an eye opener and a learning experience and I recommend anyone under 25 to work a customer service job or be a server at a restaurant, so they can see just how ridiculous a lot of people can be. This will teach our youth of how not to act, and be respectful and humble. I have had nothing but positive experiences here, and the staff is always helpful and attentive. I visited this in Vacaville store today. The "new" policy at the check out counter that requires showing ID, Scanning the ID and asking question of residence and more including a lecture by a 25 something checkout clerc is going too far. There is no law in California that mandates a stringent identification see: https://www.abc.ca.gov/law-and-policy/legislation/. I am turning 69 yrs old this year and could never pass for any age younger than 50! Tracking, and gathering information about your customers against their objection does not sit well with me or I am sure with many others. If this is how you choose to treat your customers, then I have spend the last dollar ever with your company. You rebranding is on the spiraling path downward. For a store that specializes in stuff you can drink, BevMo! does it right. This location is wonderful in that I didn't feel like I was in a "discount" beverage store. Having just gone to Costco in search of champagne, I found that BevMo! has a much better selection. There were multiple mid-range bottles of bubbly as opposed to the bottles of Dom P, Cristal and Kirkland Signature varieties of the big box store. They even have a selection of bags if you choose to give a bottle of champagne as a gift- which is what I was there for. It's great...even if I can't get that silly jingle out of my head...well done advertising team. read more

I forgot my i.d but my friend who was buying alcohol and actually holding alcohol was the only one purchasing and they denied him bc I didn't have my i.d which makes no sense this is the only store that this has happened to me only this location. For beer if you want something fancy they have a great selection but things like stella and blue moon is often cheaper at CVS or grocery store. She was holding him while I grabbed it. Today I went into bevmo with the intention of doing a return for the first time. I waited patiently with other customers for service while three workers were gossiping in the back. I had to walk to the back to ask for help at the register. In no rush at all, one lady was at least willing. After the customers before are finally helped, I am told I need to get help from the manager for my return (no big issues at this point). The manager tells me that she can't return my item because it's illegal to issue a refund for "hard liquor" and that I would need to do an exchange. I go looking for something I might want to exchange my bottle for; however, I notice that the receipt does not say anything about "hard liquor" being an exception to the return policy. When I go back the manger tells me that I can speak to the store manager. The store manager Gabby tells me that it's "illegal" for them to refund a purchase on hard alchohol, but that she doesn't have any written documents and I would have to Google it myself. After I Googled it myself I return to the register to show them what I found. The first manager that I spoke with was obviously irritated. She let's out a "oh my god" and steps aside as I speak with the store manager. I show the store manager that it is not illegal to return "hard alchohol" so, she goes and prints out the store return policy for me. The policy does not state that she cannot refund my purchase, it actually clarifies that she can. She contacts someone above her and they finally issue me a refund. Apparently, these managers aren't just unprofessional. They aren't even familiar with their own store policies and the legalities of selling alchohol! Embarrassing! If I ever decide to shop at a Bevmo again, it will not be at this location. read more

This order was so easy first off and the takeout girl there was extremely friendly, Ayla is the sweetest girl I've had an encounter with that works there. I was having a bad day and her exciting welcoming tone and attitude just shook me, and she has purple hair which bias opinion makes me like her more. My husband and I had our wedding last week and we bought all of our alcohol for our open bar from Bevmo. We saved so much money because we bought our white & red wine, and sangria on their 5 cent sale. We also bought 2 pony kegs and champagne from them as well. One of their employees, Courtney was extremely helpful and set up our wine tasting before we bought anything. The wine tasting was held, not in a room, but at an open area in the back. Make sure you eat something before you try wine or you'll end up buying snacks from Bevmo like what my family and I did. We bought just enough for our 120 guests and Bevmo also delivered all of alcohol to our venue at the Vacaville Opera House, too. Oh! You also have to bring back their beer kegs the next couple of days. If it's full, you get some money back. I would recommend doing business with Bevmo if you have a wedding ;) read more
