Village Spirit Shoppe, located at 4601 Lakeview Canyon Road in Westlake Village, recently sold a Super Lotto Plus ticket worth $50 million, minting the store's third lottery millionaire in the past eight years, California Lottery officials announced on Tuesday. In 2017, a lottery player walked away with a $3 million prize from a Set for Life scratchers ticket sold at the store, which is owned by the Shon family. Then in March 2021, the store sold an Ultimate Millions scratchers ticket worth $10 million."

My alcohol drinking days are long behind me, for various health reasons. I am heartened by the…read morezero proof options that are available these days. It's nice to have the option to enjoy mocktails and adult-style beverages while still taking care of my other concerns. I went to Total Wine looking for NA Prosecco, as I was planning to serve mimosas for Easter brunch. One of their friendly, helpful staff members saw me with a puzzled look on my face and walked me over to the alcohol-free aisle. It was great to see options for liquor, wines, and beer, plus mixed drinks all without the buzz factor. She helped me locate the bubbly. There was a brand that I'd read about, plus another which was a pre-mixed mimosa option. I bought both bottles. They also carry Blue Moon N.A., and I bought a six pack for Dear Hubby. He asked me why, and I said that if he wanted the taste and knew that he was going to be drinking, he wouldn't have to worry about that combo. He tried it and said it wasn't quite the same, but he could enjoy it with a citrus twist which he likes. As for my Prosecco and orange juice adventure, it was great. I hadn't had champagne in a very long time and aided by the juice I couldn't tell the difference. Prices seemed fair, albeit I'm not up to date on what to expect. I may spring for one of the whiskey or rum options for sipping the prior and mixing the latter. This store and their knowledgeable staff has won my business.

Our first visit to Cork Dork was a great one! We made reservations for 5:30pm on a Saturday and we…read morewere seated immediately. The interior of the restaurant is small and feels upscale. The menu is on a small iPad so you can click on a picture a see what the menu item looks like. I liked this feature so I knew exactly what I was ordering. We decided to order the crispy cauliflower, the short rib hummus dish, and baba's chicken. The crispy cauliflower was delicious. I liked the sauce and crispy chickpeas that came with it. We really enjoyed the short rib with the hummus and pita too. The meat was tender and the combination of the flavors was excellent. Baba's chicken was amazing. It was better than I expected. The flavor of the chicken with the couscous and carrots was great. We would get all of these items again. We ended the meal with the chocolatine dessert. This was one of the best desserts we've ever had. The warm chocolate Crossiant bread pudding with the horchata ice cream on top was perfection. I loved the little detail of the sprinkled honeycomb. We would come back just for this dessert! We loved all of the food we ate at Cork Dork and look forward to our next visit!

Three of us came here for dinner and were seated promptly upon arrival. The restaurant is…read morebeautifully decorated, and the service was attentive and professional throughout the evening. As pescatarians, we found the menu somewhat limited. While the food was competently prepared and attractively presented, it did not justify the final bill of $213.77. The meal began with a complimentary amuse-bouche of burrata cream on watermelon tasting which was elegant and flavorful, but small. For starters, we ordered the Hamachi, Salmon Tartare Tacos, and Smoked Trout Toast. Each dish had an interesting concept, but none stood out. The salmon and tartare were ground so finely that they lacked the texture and freshness we expected. For our entrées, we had the Tomato & Burrata and the Sea Bream. The sauce accompanying the burrata was excellent and was the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the sea bream itself was slightly overcooked. We also tried two non-alcoholic drinks: a hibiscus mocktail and a lychee lemonade. Both were pleasant but unremarkable. For dessert, we ordered the peach galette and the chocolate dessert. They were nicely presented but tasted average. The chocolatine contained croissant bits. Given the restaurant's prices, we expected desserts to be better curated and with memorable flavors. Instead, they reminded us of supermarket-quality desserts. Overall, this is a beautiful restaurant with excellent service, but the food did not live up to either the presentation or the price. We'd consider returning for the atmosphere, but not for the value.
