Drive a little further and go to Total Wine and More! Total Wine and more has a far superior selction and much cheaper prices. I usually make the trip to Total Wine on Arden if I have the time, but being that I live in Elk Grove, every now and then I don't have the time and just stop by BevMo. Don't get me wrong, BevMo has a good selection and very friendly/helpful employees. On average I would guess that bottles of alcohol are at least a couple to a few dollars cheaper at Total Wine. If you're only buying one though, and don't want to drive, BevMo might be a better choice for the convenience factor. About three months ago I picked up a BevMo keg list for my kegorator. For Super Bowl weekend I ordered a 1/4 keg of Trumer Pils, listed at $90 at BevMo. The keg is $88 at Total Wine, but I didn't want to make the drive. When I went to BevMo to pick up the keg, they charged me 103 for the keg. They had a new keg list that had just come out in the past couple months increasing the price by $13, even though Total Wine was already cheaper! They are charging $15 more that Total Wine for the exact same keg. They're not even making an attempt to be competitive! If you don't have the time or gas, or only want a bottle or two, stick with BevMo. If you want a far superior selection of beer, alcohol and wine, and cheaper prices, plan ahead and drive to Total Wine and More! read more

Why buy drinks anywhere else. Come to the store that has it all. Drinks, snacks and more. They have a huge selection on beers and wines and kegs. Staff is very well educated on most drinks and are always willing to give a helping hand. Store manager Scott does a great job here. read more

I use to work here a few years back and I actually loved my job! This place has every wine, beer, and spirit you can imagine. They even carry a lot of types you wouldn't even know existed. The store is very clean and the people that work there really know their stuff. read more

Come to spoil my husband now and again with a good cigar and an even better tequila. Staff is helpful and super accommodating. Although not huge drinkers, we enjoy the finer things and usually not a problem with them having something special in stock! read more

It's BevMo! How could someone not love this place! The staff at this location are always super friendly and helpful. And of course there are all of the choices! I am not a big wine person, but I have been trying to branch out and one of the associates gave me some GREAT recommendations. Even though the pricing isn't always better, their selection I feel makes up for that. Plus it's the best and easiest place in Elk Grove to go to if you want any sort of selection. read more

I really like this location, the staff here is definitely more approachable and more helpful than the staff at the location in Natomas. I came in on a weekday morning on my day off hoping that it would be nice and empty, but to my surprise it was busy inside! It was 10 am and the lines went almost all the way to the back wall. Aren't these people supposed to be at work?! The staff worked really fast at getting everyone checked out though so waiting wasn't actually as bad as it could've been. read more

A wide selection and variety of liquor and nonalcoholic beverages, also a decent (yet pricey) selection of perishable & nonperishable snack foods. Their beverage prices are a tad expensive when compared to other grocery stores. They do, however, have excellent customer service and are very helpful when finding a specific product. This is the only place in Sacramento that carries Coco Lopez Cream of Coconut ($3.99), which we use to make virgin pina coladas! Overall a great place to find a beverage you need, but a little pricey for me. read more

For the best selection in alcohol there is none other than BevMo! The prices are pretty awesome and they have just about everything. If you want something that they don't carry, just let them know and they'll get it in for you. They have wine tastings too! read more

If you need alcohol for any event, this is the place to be. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and available. The variety of wines, beer and spirits is amazing. Prices may not be the cheapest in town, but they're fair. Watch for sales and sign up for Club Bev to save a few $, buy enough and they'll mail you a 5% off your total purchase coupon. read more

Employees are always helpful Liquor, wine, & beer variety are numerous if you are located in EG (total wine & more in Arden area is the ultimate one stop shop though) Yummy snacks including cheese, crackers, hummus, etc A bit overpriced in my opinion, but your paying for the quality of beer or wine :) read more

Just recently placed an online order for the 5cent wine sale. Really liked the fact that I can place the order online and have it ready for pickup when i get there. Hard to find parking in this crowded shopping center, but it's right off HWY 99 and easy to find. read more

Although I have been in this store many times over the past year or so and found their selection and prices to be excellent and reasonable respectively, this was an Internet order placed to support a party we were having at the house. I looked the information up online, posted it with my credit card info, and it was ready when I rolled in to pick it up later that afternoon. I even got to pick the time frame the order would be waiting for me. the only difficulty was getting my store account linked with my online account, but the cashier arranged the 5% discount anyway. If you're looking for specialty items that are not readily available from other venues give Bevmo a try. Worked very well for me, and those drinking the Seadog Blueberry Wheat Ale from Maine at the party appreciated it even more! read more

Been going here for years and always receive consistent great service and the selection is awesome. Love their 5 cent wine sales!! I really realized and appreciated how great their service was even more after how I was treated after going to the new Total Wine in Elk Grove, blech. Bev Mo still has my business. read more

I only come to this store because they have the biggest cider selection in my area. However, they claim to price match but insist on their customers providing their own proof of the other seller's price. If you can convince them to look it up for you, the employees have an attitude about it. I recently went in the store and the manager and all 3 of his employees were standing around the register shooting the shit. When i asked for a price match and stated that it's been done for me before, the cashier refused to price match or ask the manager (who was right behind him, chatting with his employees) if this could be done. This store is not worth the time. Shitty service, sub-par selection, and hiked prices. Go to Total Wine & More instead, where their selection is more than twice as big and the prices are reasonable. Not to mention you'll get the help that they advertise and that you ask for. read more

I had been a customer of this store since 2007 and always bought my kegs there. On Sept 11 2014 I was returning my last keg and picking up a new one in time for my birthday party. At the register when doing the paperwork on my exchange she handed me back my ID because it had expired a day earlier on my birthday and the new one has not been received in the mail yet but should arrive any day. I had my expired ID (1 day expired) my bevmo rewards card and my social security card. I'm 37 years old and the woman at the register refused my business. I asked for a manager and she stated she was the manager and I should take up my complaint with the ABC. There was zero question I was of legal drinking age and she refused me service. I will never spend another cent at this location again. Rude, lacking common sense and not a place Ill support with my business again. read more

I love BevMo! You can find just about any liquor here at a happy price. They have fun little trinkets here too. Sometimes they even have wine tasting and beer tasting and stuff. Bonus! http://www.bevmo.com/Misc/StoreDetail.aspx?sid=33 read more

I swore I'd never go to a chain to buy my beer, but when my tastes changed over the last 4 years I started finding it really hard to find beers that I enjoyed at your normal liquor stores. The staff at this Bevmo is very knowledgeable about their products. What drove me here was the need for Dogfish Head (my favorite) its about the only place you can get it around here. I applaud yet again their staff for the knowledge and friendly service. Other than that its your typical Bevmo. read more

Just wanted to say thanks to the staff at the Elk Grove BevMo, and to Rich in particular. Besides being courteous and helpful they came to my rescue with a transportation problem. I am a loyal customer of this BevMo forever. read more

We were looking for the perfect white wine for our wedding but did not know which one to choose. Lester had a wealth of information and gave us a short course on white wines. He also pointed out the specials and sales, which actually helped us get twice the wine for the same amount of money! I highly recommend coming here and speaking to Lester if you need guidance or variety! read more

I'm mad at Bev Mo for stocking cheese in their cooler that you'd think is going to be good, special since it's not cheap and has fancy gourmet names has the appearance of cheese when in fact it's processed/Velveeta like stuff in disguise of REAL cheese. Shame on you Bev Mo! The wrapper is gone but Aged Extra Sharp Chedder or something similar. This is Costa Mesa 19th St store. Everything else about Bev Mo (except those annoying memberships cards) is 5 star. read more

An alcoholic's dream, but a non-alcoholic's nightmare. I don't drink, but I came here in preparation for the bf's birthday. I came in yesterday for stella and opened up a rewards card for the discount and came in today for a bottle of henny for $26.99, it was regularly $30.99. The dude behind the huge counter near the henny case asked if I needed help. I did, but when I asked when the sale would be over he seemed annoyed and told me Jan. 5th. I wanted to get another bottle, but his unfriendly-ness and snobby attitude did not make me feel warm and fuzzy so I passed up on getting two bottles. I was ready to check out when the lady asked if I was a member, I told her yes. She looked for my number but couldn't find me for some reason, so I told her if I cannot get the discount then I don't want it. She said I can sign up again. I was like nah, I don't need two accounts at bevmo (I don't even drink lol). I told her it was ok and was ready to walk out when she went ahead and gave me the discount. I'm giving them 3 stars because the lady at check-out was cool and gave me the discount when she couldn't find me in their system. As for the dude at the counter, zero stars dude, zero stars. read more

Too bad we didn't have one of these in Washington. This place was awesome! They had a special last weekend that was spend $20 and get a free bag of ice. It was so hot in Sac that was perfect. I love this place. The prices are great and they have a good selection. I like that they have the cold section that has more than just coolers. We are fans of the BevMo! read more

As soon as I walked into the store both guys were very nice and asked if they could help. I was looking for a good Rum. One of the guys took me over to the area where they were and gave great details on quality and price. Showed me different options and gave some of his personal favorite. All real helpful. Made the purchase easy and pleasant. I will defiantly use the store again. read more

Great customers and prices . Nothing pretentious about this place . What you see is what you get . I appreciate that .

BevMo has Triplebank Sauvignon Blanc advertised as part of its 5 cent sale yet it does not stock it at the Scottsdale and Shea location. I have called since the beginning of the sale and they just say we haven't received a shipment. Why would you advertise a product and not stock it. Never had this problem at Total Wine. read more

Love Bev Mo! Unfortunately, I went in today looking for a specific bottle of wine. I had seen this wine at their location before, yet upon arrival it was no where to be found. I asked the cashier if she could look it up for me. I waited approximately 10 minutes and no one came to help me. I asked her again for help and waited another 5 minutes. I chose to leave and told her that I would buy it at Raleys. read more
