We were having a ton of trouble ordering a $400 bottle of Macallan off GoPuff and DoorDash. My husband and I went into this location to ask how else we might me able to order. We were immediately greeted by cashier Charles who called up the Store Manager Samuel to better assist us. Samuel explained why my order may not have worked and suggested I try using the GoPuff app rather than online. Satisfied with his help, we left and went to lunch. At lunch, we were getting the same error messages and still unable to order this bottle, which was intended as a gift to our step-son in Northern California. To say the frustration level was high..... We went back to Bevmo to talk to Samuel. He immediately recognized us and took the time to walk us through the ordering process and made sure the order was completed. He then pointed out the delivery time and reassured us the bottle was on it's way!! Our stepson received his gift within 25 minutes of Samuel's assistance and is excited to open it up! This location of Bev Mo is well stocked and the staff are friendly and helpful. I was driving by while running some errands and remembered I had finished my last bottle of wine the previous weekend. As it's unacceptable for me to be wineless I did a u-turn into the plaza and stopped to make a purchase. I was looking for a specific bottle of cabernet sauvignon that I have been purchasing at my local Bev Mo for years but they didn't have it here. After examining row after row of cabs I decided on two bottles from a Paso Robles vineyard (certain designated wines on the shelves are "buy one bottle, get the second for five cents." I like that deal!). Up to the register and on my way in a matter of minutes. Far more selection than a grocery store but yes, there are other wine or beer stores that have a larger range of selections. Right when I walked in I was greeted immediately, I wish I knew his name one of the workers helped me find a wine that I wanted to buy for an upcoming date and the way he knew where the item I needed made it look like he knew where everything was in the whole store! I thought I selected in-store pick up, but ended up delivery to the store that I was standing in. We were looking around for a while to collect all the bottles and beers we wanted and we were finally ready to check-out. We were accidentally waiting in the wrong spot we missed the queue because we came from the other side but mind you there was no one else in line. When we got up to the register the cashier told us "just so you know the line is over there" and I apologized and told her it was our first time there and she huffed. As my boyfriend put the basket down I put the Arizona jug down and she said "don't push the basket" when I very slightly touched it with the jug, then she rudely asked if we both had ID's (it's all about the tone). Didn't say anything it is what it is but then she put aside three bottles of our liquor. My fault for not realizing she put them aside and didn't scan them but I am genuinely disappointed with the customer service and leaving without all of the items I would have liked to have purchased :( read more

How can a large store be out of gift cards at that time of year?? At that time of year, they should have an unlimited supply of gift cards. I asked her, do you have any gift baskets available? She pointed to a table with empty bags and said you can make your own. So here I am 74 yrs. old, handicapped and struggling to walk with a cane and the cashier didn't offer to help me if I wanted to make a gift basket. I just left the store frustrated. I emailed customer service and got some babble back offering to have the regional manager contact me. Nobody ever contacted me. I won't be purchasing anything from that store in the future. This place is huge, compared to my local BevMo this place is a giant warehouse and the other is a tiny shack! Aside from that,the selection is bigger and they also have a separate section for snacks and other goodies. When I walked in, I felt like I was in a moderate size supermarket. What made my experience a lot better was when I found the item I was looking for, a Heineken mini-keg. Those are sometimes hard to find but this store had plenty. Just left from this location. I asked the cashier if the price was correct on a 200ml buzz ball because it says 10.99 for one. She said " maybe it's for a pack of 3". So she walked over to the aisle and saw that indeed it says 10.99 for one. But the flavor next to it says 3.99. So I'm thinking this is a mistake. She said "maybe it's 10.99 for this flavor". I said "really? Circle k sells it 3.50" She said "you should call corporate that you don't like the price." It's 10:21a in the morning and she's already irritated at work. You think you'd get better customer service at place that sells 10.99 buzz balls. Just saying. It would've been nice if she had checked to make sure it was correct because clearly it was an error. I needed to get a variety of different glass water bottles and I was surprised they had a good selection. Prices seemed very reasonable compared to other stores. -One thing I didn't know you need to be over 21 in order to even be inside the store even if you aren't buying alcohol. Also if you are bringing anybody else with you; they better be over 21 as well or they won't sell you anything. -Overall I like the store. The employee that rang up the items was nice and the store was very organized and clean. One thing that threw me off was when I was driving to the store it was at night therefore I couldn't see exactly where it was because their outside store name was not lit up. read more

I have been coming into this BevMo for a few years now because they have speciality spirits that you can't get from the local grocery stores. Every time I come in I noticed that that the staff tended to treat me differently compared to other customers. They are helpful when I have asked them to help me find a particular item but when it came time to check out they all turn into super judgmental people and suddenly give me terrible customer service. And I completely understand and very well aware that I am a shorter man who is in his 30's and tend to look like he's 18-19 but come on! You don't need to stand there and tap my ID, hold it up to the light, flick it, and rub your fingers over it, AFTER you have already scanned the damn thing! This has happened several times with a few different cashiers. What's worse is when they scan my ID and then completely ignore me for the rest of the transaction process and start to talk to the customers behind me with suddenly the best customer service ever! I mean this wouldn't be a big deal if only happened a couple times with only a few different staff members, but it has happened multiple times now with different people. read more

I know this is a corporate rather than a local decision, but I hate to see the transition of the retail space into a glorified Seven Eleven. At least 1/3 of the store (probably more) is now devoted to prepackaged food and snacks. Obviously, a covid-era/superbowl party decision. But the craft-beer selection has really suffered, and too much self-space devoted to non-alcoholic and gluten-free stuff. Beer is all about the gluten! This is not at all a criticism of the Cypress store nor its staff, who are always friendly and helpful. My advice to the regional manager--stay in your lane! Do what you do best--provide the best selection of beer, wine, and spirits. I can get snack stuff anywhere. read more
