Do not, I repeat, DO NOT try to cash your winning lotto scratchers at this location. The clerk does not understand "ticket" winners have cash value, he will try to force you to get something you don't want and didn't ask for. I came in to exchange 3 winning scratchers: $200, $60, $10 free ticket. He told asked me how much will I spend. I said I wanted $250 cash and a $20 scratcher. He told me he didn't have enough money in the register for the $200, it's too early, and I said that's ok I'll go somewhere else, how much CAN he give me. He gave me back the $60 one as well for the same reason and he kept the $10 free ticket winner and said ok what ticket do you want. I told him I do not want a $10 ticket. If he can't do anything else then give me $10 cash or return the ticket to me so I can go elsewhere. He tried to force me to get the $10 ticket because he said that's all it can give me with it because the winning prize is "free ticket". He didn't understand that it also has a $10 cash value. He kept trying to shut me up and say I wasn't listening to him because I didn't do what he wanted me to do. He eventually also took the $60 winner and gave me $50 cash and the $20 scratcher. This is not the first time he's done this, as he's attempted to force others in my family to not get their cash value for their winning scratchers. I used to love to come here. The owner is very rude and has false advertising for sales of any alcohol .. I went in to buy Smirnoff Apple six pack and on the shelf it says $11.99 So respectfully with tax maybe a dollar or so more.. but the owner decided to try and charge me $15.97... And when I asked about it he told me don't worry about it they have the wrong price over there I need to change it I said what do you mean don't worry about it I'm the one paying and you are false advertising... So after making my complaint he ended up charging me $13.97 and told me Have a good day but then I asked for my receipt and he said I cannot make a receipt sorry... So two more customers came in and I let them know Don't buy alcohol there because he's going to upcharge ridiculously and he yelled at me okay sir leave... I was literally outside of his place already but I literally wanted people to realize they should never buy here and this place needs to be shut down or at least find a new owner who won't treat its customers like crap and upcharge ridiculously and false advertise read more

Not sure if others have had the same experience, but a few people I have spoken to and my own family have had issues when purchasing things at Daniel's in cash. You'll hand the register clerk (both the man and women) who work there the money you owe them, for example (they say it costs $95.00) and you hand them $100 (in $20's). And then they say with conviction, "you only gave me $70.00" while they hold it in their hands not even counting it....? I say if it happens once, maybe just a mistake or accident, but when it happens more than a half a dozen times with all different people and different price amounts and the "game" is the same with the same people working behind the counter...that's an issue. I'm just saying, if you want to/do shop here, might be a good idea to count your cash on the counter before you hand it to them, they seem to not be very good at counting money correctly. read more

See... they sell smaller bottles of alcohol here for about $8.99 each. Woa, you mean I can stock up and not keep a bottle for a year. Actually I have stuff left from my wedding 7 years ago. Jack Daniels, Fireball, Kalua, Jagermiester... all in small sizes. If the $8.99 is too big then they have those airplane size bottles. If you like it big, its here too. If you don't drink, have no fear they have soda galore, tea galore, all the good cold stuff. If you like cold beer, I think they have a serious selection. Plenty of candy and chips to go with it all. This place is awesome! It's like a booze wonderland! They have everything you could want possibly want. Stuff is moderately priced; certain things are cheaper elsewhere but mainly the liquors. But they have pretty much all liquors though, tons of wines (both cheap and expensive), and the main reason I come here: the beers! They have random stuff I sometimes have difficulty finding in other places. They have regular stuff like Corona and Bud Light, 40s, really cheap tall cans, and they also have this cool little walk-in beer "closet" with all kinds of IPAs! Never in my life have I felt like running out of a liquor store , as fast like I did from Daniel's liquor. It started since we walk in the cashier was the most rude person ever ! ! I had a question on a craft beer , so I waited , and waited and she just acted like I was not there . The lady was so rude she told me "hurry up and buy or get out " . Horrible customer service, she was mostly on her phone then working . Also I had gone to other closers liquor store and found more selection on store. Never again will I go back . Daniel's probably has them. I believe I saw great deals on Alta Dena milk. Another review mentioned refillable lighters. Yup, they're here, as well as butane and other types of lighter fluid. This used to be my local liquor store when I lived in Buena Park, but since I moved I haven't really been back by until tonight. All I can say is WOW. It looks like a whole new place! It's so much more open and inviting, and they even put a cute little walk in freezer in the back for all the craft beers they carry. Plus, the owner and his wife/associate are SO friendly and warm!
