Great haircut! This place does a fantastic job, and what's even better, it's consistent. While living in Las Vegas for a few years, I tried many barbers before I found one that I could trust before having to move. However, after searching around Omaha for a new trustworthy place, Beverly Hills Barber Shop is now my go-to. They're very meticulous and take the time to ensure they didn't miss any spots (good luck getting that at a chain that prides itself on 15 minutes or less in the seat). As someone pointed out, there isn't any straight razor shave or hot towel like a chain may have, but I feel that those things don't matter if they messed up your hair and you look like a goon. If you want a consistent haircut, at a competitive price without any non-value adding frills, this is your spot. read more

Jason is a real pro who will get it just right for you. I have seen every type of person in the shop: young, old, and in between. Good price (around $18 w/tip) and very rarely a long wait. This is a barber shop in the classic style. No frills, quick service, and reasonable prices. I've been getting my hair cut here since about 1989 or so. Bill, a former owner, is retired, but still cuts hair. He simply moved down a chair or two to allow the new owner, Jason, to take the main chair. The new owner did some light renovations, and the place looks that much nicer, albeit very compact. I know that they offer a few other services other than a simple haircut, but that's all I've ever had done there. The location is convenient, but the strip mall the shop is located in is almost always crowded, so parking is almost always a pain. So, if you are looking for a regular guy's haircut, this is the place to go. read more

Found this place via Yelp. Seems Yelp for barbers in this town offers two options: All 5-star reviews, or no reviews at all. The shop was easy to find, and the plaza offered enough parking. The shop had three chairs, with two barbers, and maybe three seats for waiting. I was relieved to find that they take walk-ins, and were open on a Monday. Both barbers seemed very friendly, and skilled. $15 (June 2013) was the basic cut...and I mean basic. No straight razor shave to finish you off, and no hot towel service to clean up cuttings. Honestly, if I wanted that level of service I'd get more for my money at Sport Clips. I generally avoid the hair cutting chains because of that lackluster service. Is this place 5-stars? Well, sure, if this is the only barbershop you've ever experienced. Generally, I find it ok. If I had to return I'd search out another place or end up just going to a chain. read more

Great barber shop. Really talented guy, barely even uses guides on his trimmer to cut hair. Even does a little pomade styling. He made my plain old fade look pretty fresh again. $15 for a haircut, but I gave a 20 because 1) it's totally worth it, and 2) because I'll now be a repeat customer to this shop. Great ambiance, old with new in there. One flat screen TV with anything on TV, and lots of magazines to read while waiting. Took my son here for a hair cut. Small shop, 3 chairs. Nice guys and my son got a great cut. TV was on a sports channel.

The owner was a real good guy. First time he worked a Monday in 4 years he said but the store stayed open(I guess he has another guy named Jason that cuts on Monday which a lot of people were asking for too). He believes in consistent business practices and didn't want to be closed like most other guys on Monday. $15 is the right price for a haircut here. He was efficient. I tipped him the extra $5 since that's usually what I end up paying after tip at the other places. I get a pretty easy cut so no problem there either. I blame myself because I could see right away he was out of his depth; But you always hope. If you have regular long hair this isn't the place. High and tight and buzz otherwise stay away. My first time. Unfortunately I was less than satisfied. He was very cordial and didn't charge for neck shave. But I just wanted a trim and received almost a buzz. By the time I noticed it was too late. Maybe it's one cut fits all place. Next time I will pay more somewhere else and get what I wanted, and use my card. read more

We went here last year for just something new to try. My husband always goes to sports clips and he never knows how his hair is going to turn out... But here, my son got his hair cut and they took there time, did an amazing job and also you can tell the guys take pride in their work. It was small, and they only take cash... But totally work it!! They charge $16 for my 11 year old son, so I always give them a $20 and don't ask for change. I told my husband he should start coming... And I think he went once and he looked awesome too! read more

Since moving back to Omaha ive been looking for an old school barber shop w modern day skills. And I finally stumbled upon one today! Small, quaint, and humble but full of character, and that's just the shop. The barber jason gave me the Best cut I've had in a long time, he took his time, and did everything I asked for. I decided to find an established barber shop because I'm fed up with going to all these chain salons. It seems like you go through a few people before you find someone who consistently does a good cut then the next time you go in they don't work there anymore. I walked in and was put in a chair right away. Jason cut my hair to perfection with very little information on the style I was looking for. I found my new place for a reasonable price ($15). I randomly dropped in here a couple months ago when I was in the area and needed a haircut. The place is simple and no frills but the barbers are friendly, service is excellent and prices are very reasonable. I've had no problems getting in without an appointment the couple times I've been there, even on a Saturday. That's impressive to me considering its location at 79th and Dodge. If you are looking for a great simple haircut in a traditional atmosphere, this is definitely a place to consider. One thing to note, I believe the shop only takes cash, so please be prepared for that. read more

Would of been nice to know the shop was cash only, simple fix is to hang a sign up on the door. Also if straight razoring necklines is a liability for all but one of the barbers something needs to change in the shop. Otherwise good haircuts aside from the inconveniences. read more

After having a HORRIBLE experience at Kewitt Barbers, It makes me realize just AWESOME these guys are and decided to write a review. No appointments, only walk-ins, but I've only ever been in enough rush that it didn't work out once and I just came the next day. They're all very quick and do great work there, but Jason in particular does amazing work. I usually have a very basic style to my hair, but he just knows how to make it pop. First time I went there, I was nearly speechless by how good I looked. Bottom line is that this is an amazing barber shop. As an out-of-state visitor to Omaha, I was apprehensive about getting a haircut at a local barber shop, but after reading the reviews on this site, I decided to give the Beverly Hills Barber Shop a try because it is located near the place where we are temporarily staying. This morning Jason cut my hair exactly as I requested, and I am extremely pleased with the result. Jason first asked me how I wanted it cut, then he asked for feedback during the haircut so he could be sure to get it right. He was friendly, courteous, quick, and very inexpensive compared to my usual barber back home. I can't believe how lucky I was to find such a talented barber in a location 550 miles from home, and on the first try! I highly recommend the Beverly Hills Barber Shop. Ask for Jason.
