I called after 2:00 in the afternoon and explained my situation to Dr. Jitesh Toshniwal. He told me to come on down ASAP and him and his caring staff started working on my Big Boy right away. The office is situated across from RVCC College. They were very professional with a smart caring team! They were very transparent about pricing and IMO very reasonable. They treat your pet like a king, seriously! I was so happy and grateful to find them at the time I did and will be going back for a follow up on kidney numbers and discuss other options. I had mentioned the potential nerves due to the last vet we were at didn't have the best approach and their fear free policy actually increased his anxiety. The techs and drs were slow with him and accommodating, trying to help condition him back to the vet as a positive experience. Even with the nail trims, I expressed I'm always so nervous to cut his nails and because the other vet wouldn't help me learn. She spent the time letting me hold is paw and showed me where his blood was and where it's safe to cut. She also realized it's probably a two person job. The examination he was a little squirmy from nerve but the examination was what I expected from a Veterinarian. Again I cannot thank them or give them more praise. Im kind of embarrassed I put up with the previous Veterinary Hospital as long as I did. At 8:30 in the morning, I was met with a very smug attitude. I understand that different practices have different walk-in rules, but there is absolutely no reason to speak to people with that kind of attitude. You're dealing with people who are bringing in their pets, and for many of us, our pets are family. I would expect at least basic courtesy and professionalism from the front desk. I'm not asking for special treatment, just a little respect. Sherrill, I understand you may have had a bad morning, but you're very, VERY grown and should know how to speak to people professionally. Your attitude made what should have been a straightforward visit unnecessarily unpleasant. If you're unhappy with your job, find something else to do. Anytime I have a question (worrywart pet dad) I just email and they respond within a few hours, usually with advice from the owner, Dr. Devon. Our puppy's regular vet, Dr. Redin, is excellent with her detailed care, checking for dysplasia when we didn't know it was a concern and recommending against an optional operation we were considering, saving us unnecessary expense.
