On multiple visits, there have been too few cashiers for the volume of customers, resulting in long checkout lines and a frustrating experience at the register. On one visit, I actually had to put back a couple hundred dollars' worth of merchandise simply because the wait time was unreasonable. Overall the store is great... with that said, I can't say I enjoy the environment with their music selection, it is only tolerated. I also do not support the company owners limitations in providing all access to women's health care items potentially needed for their wellness. While not directly connected to the staff or store itself, knowing this makes me uncomfortable to support this franchise 100%. That being said I like the store for what it can offer, but if I was able to choose between a Michaels and a Hobby Lobby, I'm choosing Michaels because of the environment it holds over its female employees and those that it affects. Softer. People who work there are generally very nice, which makes the whole experience feel pleasant. I have not actually purchased that many things there. A few plastic art organizers that I use for my makeup. Some Christmas ornaments. And one hanging wall art piece. That is about it. But I still enjoy going in. I am an artsy, craftsy type person. I love to paint and I use acrylic paints. In the past, I would buy art supplies there. Lately, though, I just have not had the time to do anything "artsy."
