I said yes and was told I needed to leave my purse ...... it really does look like a backpack! In a locker provided up front....... my purse/backpack is camel leather color and expensive, very expensive! Please tell me there are stores that do that???? In my life I have never entered one! I was both embarrassed and upset at the same time. I did not have on my jewelry on or even nice clothes but, I was clean, presentable and expectable and kind and friendly....... I guess his stupid butt did not see me drive up in a 24 Durango with a Hemi and custom paint! As I was shopping (frankly the selection was not even mediocre) the more upset I got! So to that end I decided to leave, as I walked up front to leave.....this guy is giving me the evil eye! I was upset I did not even get close to anything. I told him I was leaving and if he wanted to search me before I left...... well we had words becoz I was disrespected according to him......who is the customer? I was not willing to put up with such a rude jack ass!!!! He gets less than 0 stars from me! He is just one of the guys that will not be around in another year!

Make no mistake about it these are NOT your typical craft store beads! These are specialty beads. Some are even high end or special made by well known crafters. The quality of the higher end beads are amazing. Especially the ones that are made by hand - one by one. The skill needed to accomplish this is amazing! Classes! Grab a calendar in their store and take a look at all the classes they offer. They held 20 classes in January so I'm sure there's something that will pique your interest. The store is spacious - actually huge. The walls and tables are all filled with beads. The merchandising is done fabulously. Every table has a different bead theme to entice you. Employees are helpful when they are available. When I was there I walked around for 20 minutes and no one acknowledged me3. Around 12:40 PM, I found a dress in the clearance section with a red clearance tag clearly marked at $10. I spent time shopping, selected several dresses, and went to the fitting room to try them on. After deciding to purchase three dresses, including the clearance dress, I headed to checkout. The cashier scanned the first two dresses without any issue. When she scanned the clearance dress, she immediately removed the red tag and informed me that the dress was actually $29.99 because the clearance tag had supposedly been placed on the item by mistake. Since I had found the dress in the clearance section and with a red clearance tag attached, I politely asked to speak with a manager. Unfortunately, the manager simply told me that $29.99 was the correct price and that nothing could be done. What bothered me was not the additional $19.99. Had the dress been marked at $29.99 from the beginning, I would have made my purchasing decision based on that price. The problem was being told at checkout that the clearly displayed clearance price of $10 would not be honored. Customers should be able to trust the prices and tags displayed by a store. If a pricing or tagging mistake was made, it was not made by the customer. What disappointed me most was the lack of empathy and any effort to find a reasonable solution. Instead, I left feeling frustrated, misled, and undervalued as a customer. I left the store without the dress and with a much different impression of TJ Maxx than I had when I walked in. I hope management reviews how situations like this are handled in the future, because customer trust is built on transparency and fairness.

There CAN be some deals. Sometimes. Many times there are no deals. Housewares, Linens, Luggage, Tableware are all overpriced and sitting at the top of that range that should be charged for these items. You can get many comparable and exact same items elsewhere for much cheaper. Shoes? Very well priced especially for their sale racks. Handbags? Some cute some very well priced and some in the stratosphere. Dillards actually caries real Luis Vuitton handbags and luggage but.... I am not an LV consumer. Clothes... great when there are sales. You have to watch for deals, coupons and price slashing before during and after holidays. I was just recently very successful with the purchase of a makeup bag that is perfect for my trip coming up. Normally I wouldn't pay $48.00 actually $52.00 for a makeup bag but I believe I will keep this one for quite some time. The lady that helped me in the cosmetics section kept me in her "sights" while I was shopping around the entire store... she didn't want to miss getting credit for my purchase. I liked her though... we had a laugh or two.
