Cartigliano is a hidden diamond in the rough…read more The owner Karine and her staff employ an Old World, European sensibility to their craft. I've used their services four times so far and couldn't be happier with the results. Karine approaches each project with a keen eye; partnering frame, glass, and mounting which perfectly complements each individual piece. In one instance, she completely changed my mind from what I had originally thought I wanted and her suggestion was totally on the mark. The shop also offers restoration of damaged works. If you have a piece that you hold close to your heart and feel it is beyond salvaging, bring it in and get Karine's opinion. She'll give you an honest and forthright opinion and you might be pleasantly surprised. I have high standards and always hope those standards can be met, but am usually disappointed with the results. Karine and her staff not only met my standards but exceeded them and then some. Highly recommended!

For Christmas we like to do family experiences. Picasso's Palette was what we found to celebrate in…read moreOcala. It was so surprisingly fun and relaxing. I called about 3 weeks in advance to book a private party in their small room. There were 12 of us (7 adults and 5 children). When I called to book I spoke with Anna who was super helpful in answering all of my questions. She was also our guide the day of the party. We were able to bring in our own food and drinks for the party. I will note that the party room does not have a ton of extra space if you have a larger party. There is a counter that can be used. Once our whole party arrived Anna gave instructions on what price point to stay within (pre arranged) and sent us off on our own to choose which ceramic we wanted. Then she instructed us to pick which colors we would like. You start with 4 and can add more as needed. Then we got to work. Our whole group was engaged in their project. We laughed and had a wonderful time. Once we were finished she collected our ceramics to store until they were put in the Kiln. The wait time was about 2 weeks. I would recommend for all ages and group sized.

I said yes and was told I needed to leave my purse ...... it really does look like a backpack! In a locker provided up front....... my purse/backpack is camel leather color and expensive, very expensive! Please tell me there are stores that do that???? In my life I have never entered one! I was both embarrassed and upset at the same time. I did not have on my jewelry on or even nice clothes but, I was clean, presentable and expectable and kind and friendly....... I guess his stupid butt did not see me drive up in a 24 Durango with a Hemi and custom paint! As I was shopping (frankly the selection was not even mediocre) the more upset I got! So to that end I decided to leave, as I walked up front to leave.....this guy is giving me the evil eye! I was upset I did not even get close to anything. I told him I was leaving and if he wanted to search me before I left...... well we had words becoz I was disrespected according to him......who is the customer? I was not willing to put up with such a rude jack ass!!!! He gets less than 0 stars from me! He is just one of the guys that will not be around in another year!

Make no mistake about it these are NOT your typical craft store beads! These are specialty beads. Some are even high end or special made by well known crafters. The quality of the higher end beads are amazing. Especially the ones that are made by hand - one by one. The skill needed to accomplish this is amazing! Classes! Grab a calendar in their store and take a look at all the classes they offer. They held 20 classes in January so I'm sure there's something that will pique your interest. The store is spacious - actually huge. The walls and tables are all filled with beads. The merchandising is done fabulously. Every table has a different bead theme to entice you. Employees are helpful when they are available. When I was there I walked around for 20 minutes and no one acknowledged me3. Finally it was Mari who was on her break eating that got up and assisted me. Now that's how it's done!

This place caught our eye on our way to The Market of Marion fleamarket…read more This is a new listing to Yelp, none of the categories were a tight fit, they sell Yard Art. This review is a chin rubber to assign a score to. Are they a good place to buy rusty yard art ? Yes, they have lots of it. Do I like rusty yard art ? No, I do not. I understand the appeal of genuine vintage Coke or filling station signage, but the items here are not antiques. These pieces are cut, painted, and assembled on site. The newest ones are bright and vibrant. As they sit out in the elements rust gradually envelopes them. Evidently many folks are enthusiasts of Rusty Chic, as we have encountered it at other places, like across from the Wildwood train station. If you are a fan, then this place would be 4 Stars. A small percentage of what they have is not Rusty Chic, they also have some concrete statuary, pottery, and very nice iridescent globes.
