I know very little about knitting and weaving, houser, both are passions of my spouse. She was very impressed with every aspect of the store. I was very impressed with the incredible owner. She patiently answered every question I asked. We live in Pittsburgh area. As someone with no knowledge , she invited me to contact her should I wish to make purchases in the future. I was very comfortable talking with her, and feel very confident she will help me make correct choices in the future, even though I live far away. I highly recommend this business. And my fiber consumer spouse loved the store, and the experience.

In an ideal world Fiber Art Inc. would have more variety of wool yarn and less novelty yarn. Of course, we are in Florida so that probably explains the increased emphasis on other fibers. The store offers a large variety of different yarns. They have synthetic or natural. They have super cheery and colorful or plain and dull. They've got very soft or very itchy. They also seem to have everything in between. The owner, Roz, is extremely helpful and friendly. She will sit with customers and show them how to knit certain projects if they are having a difficult time. Fiber Art Inc. is always offering specials. They also have an area to sit and relax and knit, right in house. Not a knitter yet? No problem, attend a class that takes place here. Yep, Fiber Art Inc. is a knitters paradise. I should know...that hat I'm wearing in my profile picture? It was created using a brand of yarn that is available at Fiber Art.

Great yarn store. So much to choose from. Besides yarn, there's spinning and weaving too. The employees are super friendly.

Fiber Art's yarn is beautiful and unique - the prices reflect that - it makes you want to go back and touch everything.

I bought some sale yarn from Four Purls on-line. The price was good and triggered my curiosity…read moreabout the place. The pictures showed a HUGE shop. I was in Florida, visiting a friend, and talked her into making the 2 hour trip to Four Purls. Walking in, I was amazed! The place really is HUGE - the largest yarn shop I'v ever been in. The owners were really nice, explaining how the store in laid out with regard to the yarn weights. I asked about Cashmere yarn; they had it. Yak yarn; they had it. Yarns from countries that I didn't know produced yarns - Japan. They have their own private label yarn as well. This is a destination store if you're anywhere in Florida. If you use yarn in any way, you will love this place. I told my friend I'll be back to visit, if only to go back to Four Purls.

Every city I go to, I have to check out the yarn store. I went to Winter Haven eight years ago, but…read moredidn't know about Four Purls back then. I had no reasons to visit Winter Haven (nothing there), but I found myself on the way from Tampa to Orlando on a Sunday so I stopped in. It's rare for a LYS to be open seven days a week - but they are so that was a definite plus. There's a decent amount of free parking on the street and in a nearby small lot. The store has a great selection, although I found it to be eaten up by a ton of Emma's yarns (local, but having one wall of it takes away from other yarns they could stock in my opinion). For example, I wish they stocked Cascade 220 since no stores nearby stock it. Although there is a yarn for everyone, and a few interesting finds (Biscotti self-striping, multicolored roving, art yarns, crochet animal kits). I met Noelle, and she was very sweet in helping me out, and showed me around the shop since it was my first time there. Overall, there's a good range of yarns organized by weight (my preferred layout for a LYS), and is definitely one of the top yarn stores I've been to in the Southeast.
