As for this location, my first thing to note, if there is a large puddle in the parking lot, don't park in it. It's not rain water - there is a sewage issue and the parking lot often has flooded spots. I parked near it on my last visit, and you could smell the sewage and there was wet tissue in the puddle. Just find another spot. I can usually find what I am looking for at a decent price here. Lots of items are damaged, but you have to know what you're getting. Also, if you're buying something with words, check the spelling. An associate and I had a great laugh at a few misspelled Christmas items last year. There are usually some pretty good sales on most the things, so I'll stock up on little holiday extras here and there. They have a lot of registers, but usually only a few are open. I like the staff there mostly, everyone is pretty friendly. I also notice that, unlike the Dollar Tree next door, they actively keep people away from loitering at the doors.

Her oils on cradled board featured landscapes, roadscapes and still lifes of tootsie pops, origami, flowers and goodwill clothing shops. Her style is accessible and accomplished. Her paintings leave you wanting more. I almost imagined today upon entering that I could smell the oil paint drying! How delicious to smell an art gallery exhibit.

The store was drastically cleaner than before, and each employee I encountered was helpful and friendly. While the sales are not nearly as good as some other places, they do have decent prices. I really like how the framing department keeps all of your information in regards to the exact size, frame used, and mat colors of each thing you get done. I have three LSU championship newspaper covers, and I need them all to match even though they are different sizes. Michaels does a fantastic job when it comes to that. All of the newspapers are perfectly preserved just the way I like them and make a fantastic addition to my office. The only thing I don't like about the framing department is that they told me one day and kept pushing back my pick up date, even when I needed it on the date they originally told me. I had to call to get this info, they didn't readily give it to me. Also, they stopped doing the wiring on the back of the frames. I can't hang things perfectly on the wall without the wiring, so when I recently picked up I insisted that the wiring be put on the back. This is also something they don't readily tell you. There is a small sign on the corner of the desk, but not quite visible. I just wished they communicated better with their customers with the amount of money that I am paying. Overall, a great experience and the best way to get my valuable items preserved!
