This place was so nice, I ate there twice!! I was in Mexico…read moreCity for a week, and as much as I love Mexican food, I was ready for something different and as usual, Italian food was calling! I took a stroll in the historic district And came across a charming Italian restaurant called Nonsolo. The prices were moderate, the place looked inviting and so I decided to take a chance. It was my lucky day! Nonsolo Is right in the heart of the historical Zolaco. It has an old world charm and an inviting menu. As soon as I walked in I got a really nice vibe and liked my waitress. She spoke a little English and I spoke a little Spanish, and between the two of us we were able to communicate. I'm not so crazy about a QR code menu, but this seems to be standard fare these days. It was hard getting a signal on my phone to view the menu, so she signed me into their internet Wi-Fi and then there was no problem. I ordered pasta with clams in a white clam sauce. And of course, a Coke zero! While I was waiting, I enjoyed the bread and butter and taking in all the people strolling by. The pasta was really delicious and I hated to see the bowl empty. I sat for a while looking at the people in the street and took in the wonderful ambiance and that delicious meal before I headed to Ballet Folklorico. I would say my only criticism was that they charge 45 pesos for a small Coke zero which is the equivalent of $2.50. The pasta dish itself which was around $13 US dollars was well worth it. That was so delicious. Considering I almost always order an Italian dish with marinara sauce, it's a big compliment to Nonsolo to say I really loved the meal lol The place had been on my mind for 2 days and last night when it was my final night in Mexico City I decided to go back one more time and taste something with red sauce! I had spaghetti bolognese and it was also delicious. This time I decided to sit at a table outside and it was very enjoyable looking at all the passerbys and also I got entertained by a young man singing "My Way" in Spanish and a guitarist who played some traditional Mexican tunes. I gave them each a tip which I know they appreciated. After sitting for a while and enjoying the meal and experience, I headed over to the Palace of Fine Arts to see the national symphony play. All in all a great evening! So there you have it folks. If you get tired of tacos and quesadillas and tortillas, head over to Nonsolo and have a wonderful Italian experience! Ciao and adios!

After having consumed so much wonderful Mexican food we opted for something different and this little Italian restaurant hit the mark! Wow from the Mussels, to the pastas we were very impressed by the quality of food and the authenticity of the dishes. We ordered the mussels as an app, which were plentiful fresh mussels in a white wine sauce, we also ordered the rustic salad, that was a nice salad with goat cheese bread, Spanish Jamon and a balsamic vinaigrette, we enjoyed the meat ravioli which were so delicate and tender. We also had a pasta with jumbo shrimp in a wonderful light red sauce. We also had a most delicious lemon chicken with capers. Everything we ordered really was so good. The ambiance is very cute and romantic. Highly recommend this sweet restaurant

The spaghetti carbonara I ordered last night was awful, with the little bits of meat burned quite literally to a crisp. I probably should have sent it back. The woman server was good until she disappeared into the back to join her fellow waiters for dinner and it took forever to get the bill. The new male waiters are unfriendly, actually downright surly. The original waiters in the past were so nice and friendly. And the prices are now much higher than I remembered. Luigi, where are you? Don't make me go to the Osteria around the corner.

The majority of Italian restaurants are located in a different colonia outside of Centro Historico. I thought that the service was fairly adequate, and it was pretty tylical from my experiences in the city. I ordered the simple spaghetti bolognesa which is one of my trusted Italiam dishes. This did take a little time for them to orelare, and the reataurant wasn't that busy, but when they did bring it to my table, I was more than dying of hunger. I thought it tasted pretty good, however the bolognesa sauce was somewhat watery. Still the sauce was exceptional in my opinion. Everything else about the reataurant was great and the inside was modern and clean.

They give house focaccia bread with onion crisps and butter! That was soo delicious!! Everything together is *chefs kiss*! For appetizers we got the arancini Nero which was the squid ink risotto with octopus inside! It was so good!! We also ordered the mozzarella and tomato which is like a caprese salad but served hot!! We also got the gnocchi with Gouda and the de fungi pasta! Both were sooooooo good!!! It looks so simple but it's packs the flavor!! Also got the octopus risotto with the side salad. We were thinking that maybe we will skip the side salad because we have so much food, but we tried it and it didn't disappoint!! The dressing was so simple but so good!! Of course we also got the fig pizza and that was also *chefs kiss* as well! Everything from the fig, to the Gorgonzola cheese, to the honey and arugula, and down to the pizza crust were all sooo well put together!!! Last but not least, we also got the tiramisu!! It was a must!!! Even though we were so full, we had to get the dessert for the full experience!! The restaurant was really nice and had a great date night feeling! It's like you just stepped away to Italy for a little bit while having dinner! Workers were friendly and some spoke English as well so we were very grateful! Overall one of the best experience at an Italian restaurant!! If you're in the area, definitely check them out! You will not be disappointed!!

It's full because it inexpensive, that's the niche they decided to be in, and there's nothing wrong with that. I went there craving lasagna and was pretty disappointed. Their bolognese sauce needs a lot of help. But it all comes down to the quality of ingredients, and these were lacking. Why, because that's what they elect to sell, and there's a crowd for that because of their price point. Does Rosseta deserve to be 4X's more expensive ? Probably not; but their Italian food they serve is certainly better(and they're) full too. Will I be back? Maybe, there are things on their menu I want to try, but I will go in with my expectations lowered

I had never experienced anything quite like this restaurant. As you go in each customer is provided a menu along with a special card with a chip in it and which looks similar to a credit card. When you decide what you want to order you go to the corresponding portion of the counter/kitchen where there are chefs waiting to prepare your food as you watch (if you want to). You placed the card on a reader and tell them what you want. They make it. Pastas, pizzas, salads, Paninis, and more. The ambience is very refreshing and relaxing as you can watch the trees and plants through the glass. Everything is new and clean. They have regular sized tables and chairs as well as high tables and chairs. Most of the tables are for six or more people. They have unique modern looking mushroom shaped lamps with illuminated stems at the tables. I did not notice any child's menu, however they may have one that was not brought out. I certainly did not need one. Nonetheless with the way the tables were set up it was not the most small-child friendly restaurant I have seen. They do have spaghetti and a few other entrees many children enjoy. I ordered an orange aid (naranjada) to drink, and ordered the lasagna and a small salad. The salad was made within moments while I was still at the counter, and the lasagna was put into the oven and brought out within a few minutes. I enjoyed both immensely. I did not order a dessert because I was too full. They do have a tantalizing looking dessert menu including something called "death by chocolate". This would be a great place for a date or for hanging out with friends. It would also be appropriate for families with elementary school aged children and up. I'm not so sure it would be a wonderful place for toddlers. No clowns, play places or coloring sheets. I really enjoyed my meal at Vapianos Tlalnepantla, and believe you would too if you like Italian food.
