After living in the area for years, I always passed by the whimsical exterior. I finally ventured in for the first time and wish I had done so sooner. It not only has the charm and magicalness of walking into a witch's cottage or a fairy garden shop, but is also a time capsule where you can find calendars from 2007 with whimsical fairies that you can still buy today. In other places, I would absolutely be put off by the old merchandise, but in a place like Forget Me Not Factory, it absolutely fits the vibe of the establishment, and I actually really enjoyed finding old things for sale there. It felt like stepping into the past, and I cannot wait to go back. Whether to find new items for my garden or supplies to make my next Ren fair costume.

This place is multi-level and can take quite some time to explore. If you are looking for items for a fairy garden, you will definitely find it here. Honestly, there is so much in here that it can be overstimulating. I know I wandered about this space for quite some time and contemplated buying so many items in here. Everything miniature you can think of is in this space. A lot of the items in here can possibly be used to construct Christmas villages as well. If I remember correctly I was mesmerized by the Ghostbuster items. I just couldn't justify the prices they were asking for some of the items. In short, this place is quirky and definitely worth a stop if you want to grab a unique gift for someone. Or if you have a little one with you that might want to indulge in some make believe.

If you read the reviews, the most recent review was posted 4 years ago. For the most part, the…read morereviews were positive. However, after a recent visit to Blue Iris Florist in Catonsville, I can see why there have been no recent positive reviews. Being prom season and an advocate of shopping locally, I wanted to purchase a corsage for our daughter's upcoming prom. A sign on the door indicated that they do not carry corsages, flower crowns etc. for the prom season. Knowing this, I went inside anyway to ask the florist if they knew of any other florists in the area that carried corsages. Could I have simply Googled "florists who carry corsages?" Of course! But, I wanted to ask a "professional" their recommendation for another florist. It's akin to asking a chef for a good restaurant recommendation. To my surprise, I was met with a sharp, " I don't know what others florists carry!" I unfairly was under the assumption that florists are polite, cordial and respectful. Until now! Taken aback by her response, I asked her if corsages were still a "thing" as I went to high school eons ago! I was met again with a, "sir I don't know what other florists carry?" Seeing this was going no where, I thanked her and left the shop. Who knew that a florist could be that unpleasant? I understand the competitive basics of pure capitalism and not wanting to help the competition but this was different. I was a potential customer. They couldn't provide the service that I needed, which is fine. I asked where I could go or who could they recommend and was met with disdain and disrespect. I was simply a dad trying to get his daughter a corsage for prom. You can surround yourself with beautiful flowers and objecs and that's just window dressing on the outside. But no amount of flowers can hide your pure ugliness on how you chose to interact with me. You've made my decision to take my future business elsewhere very easy. So, thank you! That being said, I'm willing to give you some leeway in that perhaps I caught you at a bad time? Maybe my situation, is a one off? But, If you did this to every customer, how do you expect to stay open? And frankly, not being aware of what your "competition" is doing Is just bad business. PS- If anyone needs a corsage or prom flowers, Radebaugh's in Towson was pleasant, helpful and professional. I'm picking up my daughter's corsage on Saturday! PSS- I did not select a star rating as I felt they did not deserve one. However, Yelp wouldn't let me post until I did!
