As I was packing for our East Coast adventure, I was thinking fall weather clothing: boots, beanies, light jackets.....oh but on our last two days, mother nature said NOPE, I am bringing the heat! It was hot and we were slightly dying, as we passed Sweet Elizabeth Jane, not only was their storefront display soooo cute, but we could feel the AC blasting when we passed by. Seriously, this was the reason why we went in. Not knowing what to expect, I was surprised. The store was two floors, but not only did it have the cute souvenirs and Christmas decor that was visible as we passed by, but it had cute clothes and accessories. What a gem of a store....it was boutique plus, plus!!! This store has my heart. It was hard to narrow down my shopping since I had to be mindful that I had a carry on and personal item to travel back home. I couldn't resist and decided to purchase items and just ship them to myself back home. I bought a shawl/jacket in the most wonderful Olive Green color that is perfect for walking and driving in. I also got the softest scarf. Customer service was top notch. I saw this scarf on display on a mannequin and I asked if it came in different colors and they went to go look since I am not a big fan of the browns in my attire choices. I got a gray/black combo scarf. Since we had cooled down significantly as we were shopping, we got hungry and asked if we could place the items on hold since we didn't want to carry our purchases until the end of our exploration and headed back to the car. I gave them my name, they placed the items on hold and we went to eat. When we came back, the store associate remembered my name and that our items were on hold. She also told me that they have a website with many items for sale from their actual sales floor that could be shipped and proceeded to tell me how the store got started. She wrapped the items with care and off we were. Prices are completely reasonable for a store of this caliber. This store could easily fit into the vibe of Stanford Shopping Center, Santana Row, downtown Carmel, etc.....but I KNOW that this place will blow any rivals strictly due to their fair pricing, storefront size and their unique items. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted, and the associate explained the process of making custom bracelets. After we picked out what we'd like, we sat with an associate to put it to life! The whole process took around 20 minutes and I left with a gorgeous, custom piece. I get compliments all the time, and it still looks new after over a month of showering, lotion, work, etc. I also wanted a bracelet that they did not have in stock and the manager was willing to ship it upon arrival. The communication was great and I'm so happy I was able to get another bracelet that I really wanted. Price point is not bad, as they are gold plated, and with customization, I paid around $300 for two bracelets. Definitely a splurge, but worth it!

The store is so cute and inviting. Located right on Frederick Road in downtown Catonsville, there is plenty of street parking in the area. The staff at CCL are welcoming and helpful, directing you to the area of the shop for either permanent jewelry or the charm bar to create charm jewelry. I've only done the permanent jewelry so far, which is all displayed nicely on a large table in the center of the store - this gives you a chance to look at the different styles and decide what you like. The staff is also super helpful in offering guidance or opinions on what would look best - either for new permanent jewelry or adding to an existing stack. Once you've picked out what you'd like, the staff then measures and makes sure the jewelry fits well. Overall, I have had multiple great experiences at CCL, and will continue to return. Their website lists the different types of jewelry they offer as well as pricing to give you an idea of the cost before you arrive, which I appreciate so I can scope out what I like before arriving.

I had a great experience making my purchase and then my suit had a manufacturer's defect. I brought…read moreit back to the shop and the owner told me that, though it looked like a defect, she had no metric by which to trust I had properly cared for the suit. I explained my level of care, to which she reprimanded "I TELL EVERYONE NOT TO USE THE SWIMSUIT SPINNER." I replied that she had not, in fact, informed me. She then pointed to care instructions taped on the counter which I read carefully and pointed out that they mentioned nothing about the spinner at all - good or bad. She said my only recourse was to call the manufacturer myself. She provided the number and I called from in store. The TYR rep asked me the store name, and when I said Cy's she stated "they are a great customer, why aren't they helping you with this?" I repeated that I didn't understand why myself, but that was the situation. I was then told I needed to provide photos and proof of purchase. When I asked the owner to provide proof of purchase (we easily located my purchase in the system and it was less than 1 year old) she told me she didn't know how to do it. She printed a blurry screenshot and told me that was the best she could do. I then looked at the system and found the place to reprint a receipt. TYR was great - they reviewed the photos, immediately determined it was a defect, and sent me a replacement at no charge. I chose Cy's specifically because it was locally owned and (I thought) stood behind their product. I will never shop there again nor recommend it to a friend. This probably does not matter to them as, in the repeated words of the owner "we outfit dozens of swim teams," but the absence of customer service afforded to me as a customer with a defective item as well as the punitive exclamations were appalling and inexcusable.

I come to Sally to purchase hair and beauty products. The store is always well stocked and carries…read morevarious lines of products. It's opened to the public, but if you are a licensed cosmetologist, you can apply for a Sally Card, which is free when you present your license and it qualifies you for professional-only discounts, which they send out in mailings along with discount coupons on occasion. The staff ambiance here is so-so, sometimes they are helpful and pleasant and at other times they may be moody and act as if you have a problem if you ask for their assistance. Just a warning. All in all, they have the products l want and cheaper than those "beauty supply stores" that are located all over, which only give you, at the most, a 10% discount when you present your cosmetology license and ID. I'd rather shop at Sally, where l can return my product with little hassle (as long as l have a receipt) and not have to worry about purchasing something in those other stores with a "no refund" policy.
