This is a long one. I reached out to Coy (the owner) about…read morean iPhone 11 screen repair. He said HE'd be happy to do it, so I dropped off my phone on a Monday. I was leaving town that Thursday and he assured me my phone would be done by then. On Wednesday I reached out and he said "phone should be ready Friday"... So I let him know, again, that I was leaving town and we covered that on Monday.. He said in that case, my phone would be ready for pickup at 10am Thursday morning. I drove to the store at 10am, walked in and the man there said "Coy told me to tell you the phone will be ready on Friday"... It was a full "twilight zone" moment. I just about lost it. Coy then started ignoring my phone calls and his employees calls as well. I tried calling Coy from two different phone numbers and he picked up, not knowing it was me. He said he's sorry but I can't get my phone, because it's in Butte.. I started asking the basic questions... like wtaf how is that possible? He explained that he never intended to fix my phone. He sends it up to Butte through a fourth party business.. So he misleads his customers off rip. This conversation was at 1pm, he said he would drive to Butte from Helena, get my phone and bring it to me. So I said ok I'll wait the minimum two hours it takes to drive there and back. At 1:45pm I get a call from his employee, telling me my phone is there and ready for pickup.. This whole thing is so crazy because he lied about EVERYTHING. The weirdest part is lying about my phone being in Butte.. the whole thing was so suspect. I got my phone, it lasted about a week before the screen went crazy with phantom presses and opening apps etc. They bitched the screen repair entirely so I had to take it to another cellphone repair shop and pay another $300 to get it fixed. To top it all off, Coy blocked my number. This was a very expensive mistake. I would avoid this man's services and his "security" cameras that he installs. He's a snake. And he's clearly unfamiliar with Helena folks, who will NOT put up with that.

Said he had friends phones to work on. Wouldn't give me a refund either. Finally he reluctantly gave me a refund of a third of the total bill back. What a joke. Beware

Shame on me for not trusting my instincts; a decision I still regret! I was told by the owner that the cost of my repair would be $200.00 and would take about a week to get the parts. I live 90 miles away from Butte so he told me to keep my phone and that he would call me when the new parts came in and it would only take about 30 minutes to repair. I didn't think it was unreasonable that I had to pay $100 up front as these parts for my phone were expensive...until 14 days had passed and no phone call, no returned phone calls from the numerous messages I left him, no replies to emails or texts, and no responses to messages left on his Facebook page. I got nothing but excuses once I did get a hold of him finally. He said he had the parts for my phone, and he ACTUALLY made an appointment for me since he knew I was coming so far. I got to his "store/shop" 5 minutes early for our appointment, waited another 30 minutes for someone to arrive and the doors stayed locked. I was calling, texting, everything I could think of to get in touch. Three hours later, I called him back one last time to see if he was there, and sure enough he was, but this irresponsible, unprofessional, business owner never returned a single call after he no showed to his own store! Patience waring ice thin by now, but I drove all the way back up to his place Uptown, from the flats for the second time that day, and when I left him with my phone at 4:00 p.m. he gave me a bunch more excuses that he was backed up and it would take him about an hour and a half to 2 hours to fix my phone!! This jerk still had my $100.00 so once again, I went against my better judgement and left him with my phone. He said that he closed at 6:00 and I would be damned if I was going to let him have my phone for the full two hours, just to show back up and his doors locked, with my phone still inside! I showed up at 5:45 and before I even got to the counter, he started talking to me from a different room (apparently he has quite the surveillance system) and spewing out this excuse that he couldn't fix my phone because he dropped the parts, and they broke and no he would have to reorder them! I told him that his neglegence was not my problem nor would it be be necessary to order new parts and demanded my money back. He told me he would not be able to issue a refund until the next business day (which happened to be a Tuesday due to Columbus Day) when the bank reopened. What moron doesn't know how to issue a refund through Square, but knows how to process a payment? A moron that wants to rip you off! On that Tuesday I left 3 voicemails requesting my refund and never received it! I had to file a chargeback with my bank for "services not received". Oh and another thing....not too professional to be higher than a kite during business hours. I respect medical marijuana users, but there's a difference in aleveating that which ailes them and still being functional, versus getting completely wasted from smoking in the back room all day!

This is the only place I know of in Helena where one can buy certain electronics and accessories,…read moreand they do have the standard (read: good) RadioShack selection. Just don't go in expecting help finding what you need; I would absolutely not have been able to find and purchase a replacement adapter for my portable record player if I hadn't already known what I needed and how to locate it. I showed up at RadioShack today with my suitcase-sized player in tow to find the employee on duty embroiled with another customer. No biggie; I knew where to find the dummy plugs and jumped right in. I found four that would more or less fit, and I will say the guy at least came over and helped me try them out further and get the one that had the right internal diameter. He also offered to get the adapter and plug out of their packages so I could try them in store, so points for that. However he did not, as far as I saw, look at the polarity guide on the back of my player to make sure he was attaching the plug to the adapter cord the right way around; when I asked him if we needed to make sure the polarity was right (knowing we did but wanting to let him save face if he'd forgotten), he just mumbled, "sure." I checked it myself and he had done it right, but I have no way of knowing if he actually looked at it or if he just lucked out, it being a fifty-fifty chance. Then he crouched behind the counter, presumably plugging it into the outlet while I tested the player. No go; it started, spun for a second, and stopped again. After a minute or so of me making sure things were right on my end and checking the fit of the plug, he suddenly mumbled an apology about having somehow unplugged it from the outlet. Okay, test again. Spin spin...stop. I kept having to ask if it was still plugged in, since I couldn't see what he was doing and he was apparently unwilling to communicate with me except by mumbling a reluctant answer when asked a direct question. He decided the plug didn't fit right and needed to have a smaller internal diameter, so we went to hunt for another one...by which I mean he looked at a couple packages, then abandoned me to wander five or ten feet away and play with his cell phone while I examined the rest. I found the one that was the next step down, we tried it, and it didn't fit. At that point, I was disappointed but ready to walk out without an adapter -- if they didn't have it, they didn't have it. Tapping the panel over the compartment on my player that houses the speaker and power supply, he asked if I'd ever opened it up. No, I hadn't. He suggested that it might be easier to open it up and replace the connection point for the adapter. "Don't you think it'd be better to just find a plug that actually fits?" I asked. "I guess. If you think so," he mumbled back, as if it were a dumb thing to suggest. Suspecting an ongoing whoops-it-fell-out-of-the-outlet-somehow problem, I asked if there were another outlet where we could test it. He reluctantly showed me to the other end of the counter, where he plugged the adapter in, tested it to prove it was delivering power, and plugged it into the player. I turned the player on and lo and behold, it spun and continued spinning at an even rate even when I cranked it up to 78 rpm. My helper seemed oddly reluctant to sell me the adapter at this point; he kept mumbling about "Well, I guess, if you think it'll work," even as it continued working right in front of him. He eventually rang me up (though not without taking a break to reply to his noisy cell phone, apparently worn out from all the wonderful customer service he'd been delivering), and away I went, $30 poorer and one adapter richer. Back at home, the player's running smoothly and churning out the tunes. Guess it wasn't the plug size, bub.

Best place to go for anything I need that I cant seem to find anywhere else. Although RadioShack…read moremay not always be my first stop, it ALWAYS seems to be my last stop.
