The sweet bread is so fresh and super moist! This has be to the best I have had outside of the Bay Area! Parking is tight and the lot is shared with other strip mall stores (Approx 4. Stores) so it is small. Beto's is refreshingly clean and they keep the trays and tongs clean and sanitized between uses. They make everything onsite and also have fresh Bollilos (Sweet Rolls/French Rolls). If you're in the area, stop by, you will not be disappointed!! read more

The best Mexican bakery in the area! There's nothing like fresh baked bread-especially this bread. They sell out throughout the day, but they're constantly baking fresh pastries and bringing them out. My family drives across town to buy their pastries and bread, past many other bakeries, because they're that good. Parking can be hard to find around the time that they bring fresh batches of bread out, which is in the morning and again in the afternoon. They recently expanded, so you walk in and there are cases of bread to your right. You grab a tray and some metal thongs and help yourself, similar to 85 degrees. When you're done, you walk up to the register and pay. I usually bring cash, but they take major credit cards. My favorites are the polvorones, but my family likes the puerquitos and bolillos. read more

Not in the best neighborhood and This place is extremely hard to find they are very small tucked in a corner and they do not have any signs out front or any indicators as to where they are located. The parking lot is always extremely full and there is not that many spots, but you park over in the dirt field to the left, I would just make sure to lock your car, kinda sketchy dirt road next to it. The staff use to be really Rude but they seem to higher younger friendly kids now and they updated the interior and added more bread it's much nicer, but the prices are higher and the Breads got smaller, especially the chocolate croissants The cookies and The chocolate cake was moist and delicious There was a cheesecake like bread it was also rather good, but got even better when I put it in the fridge for a while. read more

If a bakery doesn't have that fresh bread smell, that's a red flag. When we were there, the employee was filling up trays with fresh bread!! All the bread we got was so SOFT!!! I don't even know where to begin , this review is for Betos Cakery to be clear which I was told is the same owners as betos bakery. We ordered a cake smash cake from Jorge 1 week in advanced on July 27th for my daughters 1 year photo shoot . I paid for the entire order as well instead of just the deposit . We were told the cake would be ready at 10am the following Monday . We show up and it turns out the cake was never made. We call Jorge and he said they will deliver the cake to the photo shoot . But me and my wife didn't trust him . So we rush to a different bakery in Modesto as we were walking up to the new bakery we seen Jorge who was supposed to make the original cake walk out and bought a different cake from a different bakery to deliver to us as if he made it . It wasn't even close to the cake we ordered originally .We asked the bakery what cake did Jorge buy And the worst part is it was a wine infused cake that the baker said that shouldn't be fed to a 1 year old baby ! Not only did they not make our cake for a very important day they tried to use another bakery's cakes as theres to give to us and that cake could of harmed my daughter . It honestly ridiculous and I will never give this place my business again . They didn't care about my daughter and thank god we caught Jorge trying to finesse us or else who knows what could of happened to my daughter .Asked for a refund and they ended up charging me again called my bank and now they are dealing with it . read more

Barely found this place about a month ago or so and I can't complain about the bread, it's good. Unfortunately being 9 months pregnant I waited until my husband got home to Modesto, from the Bay Area so I could satisfy a craving and we arrived 5 minutes before they closed and the cashier locked the doors as she saw my husband walk towards the entrance and allowed a specific women walk in just 15 seconds before we got off the car since we watched the car pull in right before us. I was too emotional about not getting my craving to even ask her if I could just purchase a treat as I saw her with another woman picking bread to take to with them as we drove away. I guess I'll be looking for another bakery since my husband doesn't want to come back after that type of service. I am giving this bakery 3 stars, not because of the quality of their bread but because this is the second time I place a custom order for conchas with DAYS in ADVANCE and they STILL GOT IT WRONG!!! The first time they gave my order to someone else claiming that we had the same name, yet we have different last names and they also take your phone number which is obviously NOT the same! Second time I ordered they said they would not be ready until almost 2 hrs after the requested time, which for me was impossible giving it was for a funeral out of town. Both orders were placed days in advance. The issue is also that they don't even care to make it up to you, they pretty much told me this is what happened take it or leave it. So if you decide to order custom, I would not recommend it, you will be disappointed. However, if you are just walking in to get random bread then you shouldn't have a problem, their bread is delicious and fresh every day. read more

Drove here because it was the only mexican bakery I found in the area. The bread is good but they don't have any prices posted anywhere so there's no way of knowing what the breads costs. We bought a paper bag & a half of bread with about 15 breads total and the total was $27 and change. I asked what the price was on the bread and all the lady said was that the empanadas were $1.50, but it didn't add up. Very pricy. read more
