In the spring of 2023, after losing my wonderful landscapers of 20 years, I needed to find another…read morecompany to maintain my home and the rental next door. Sol Landscaping was one of the companies who responded to my Yelp request for a big one-time cleanup and also a contract for once a month maintenance. Marisol and one of her workers showed up for the estimate and although there was a bit of a language issue, she seemed honest and sincere. She saw what needed to be done and gave me an estimate of about $3000. I thought the price was fair and hired them to do the spring cleanup. The maintenance price she quoted was $300 per visit. Before cleanup day, I marked with fluorescent paint the weedy areas and shrubs that need to be pruned out to make things easier, so there would be no mistakes (none of the workers spoke English, although I think they could understand it). The cleanup itself went very smoothly and they left the properties spotless. However, getting them to come out for a maintenance visit went the opposite way. Marisol wouldn't commit, and I called and texted several times to make an appointment. Finally she said they could fit me in the next day and I said okay. But no one showed up. When I called again, she said someone had gotten sick so they'd try again in a couple days. Again, a no-show. I finally gave up. It was apparent they were just happy to do the one big job and move on. I wanted to give two stars TBH for the frustration. But they did do the one big cleanup well. Unfortunately I am still on the hunt for a skilled landscaping maintenance company.

He rather leave the job site early and can't be trusted to complete other tasks correctly. This has been ongoing for a very long time. Saltos was asked to hand prune our Rhododendrons to about 5 ft. Come to find out this is what they ended up doing as shown in the photos, hence the one star review. I reported this to the owner Jesus. Instead of receiving an apology, Jesus opted to discontinue services. Good riddance and a blessing! I ended up hiring a much better self-motivated and energetic landscapers who do not require supervision. They're fast, efficient, and work together do make sure the property looks good before they leave. I am so much happier. This is the way landscapers should be. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Saltos used to do a decent job, but the last years the quantity of work they do has dropped. I'm supposed to be getting two hours of service with a two man crew. Lately, I've only been getting two hours only when I'm home to give Oscar further instructions and to supervise. They consistently take off after mowing, edging, blowing and doing cleanup, which only takes about an hour of time. Most of the time they do a decent job cleaning. On occasion they would simply skip areas. Our property is not huge. The same crew has been maintaining our property since the start. They need to take more of an initiative to maintain our bushes and rhododendrons not using a hedge trimmer.

Our yard was a challenge, to say the least, full of weeds, an old lawn and a sprinkler system that needed updating. Tony came by, listened to what we wanted, and came up with a vision for how to make the yard beautiful, more efficient and with less maintenance. We were amazed at how hard he and his team worked each day. They cleared out the weeds, trimmed bushes and trees, prepared the old lawn with top soil and new seed, set up perimeter borders, replaced valves and set up sprinklers the right way to ensure exact coverage so that water isn't wasted. They spread new mulch and decorative rocks and gravel that helped map out the yard into defined areas. Tony has experience and it shows in the level of attention and detail. They also did an great job of cleanup afterwards. Landscaping is not cheap, and if done correctly, enhances your home value and makes you feel good to be in your back yard. Highly recommend Alvin's landscaping, especially Tony and his team.

One was much higher than expected, another seemed unrealistically low and didn't inspire much confidence, but Kairos stood out as the right choice. One of the things that impressed us most was that they're a local company that uses their own employees rather than subcontractors. That was important to us and it showed in the quality of their work. Our project was completed by a two-person crew and they were outstanding.
