In a past rambling, I addressed the asi asi situation of the driving range here and after another round at the 9 hole course I feel I need to address this one as well. So, what do you have? Seven par 4s of which three are shorter than 300 yards and two par 3s. Aside from #4 and #8, all the remaining holes run immediately back and forth next to each other which means people and carts all over the place. OK, what's so off here to make it two stars? Easy. While the fairways are in a little better shape than I've seen them in recent memory (greener with fewer brown/dead spots and not cut so stupidly short to the ground), the greens are simply bad. Hard as hell which equals approach shots being impossible as everything will keep on rolling as if you're hitting it on asphalt. Also, lots of choppy-bumpy uneven spots spots which make putting oh so fun and some interesting pin placements like on #6 where the pin is all the way in the front of the green which is tiered and heavily sloped. I.E., if you're trying to putt from 85% of the green, your ball is rolling back on to the fringe/rough as the slant and speed are abnormal. There's fair and then there is stupid. I get why from a business standpoint they added carts a few years ago but, are they really needed? It's a nine hole course that is about 2,500 yards. It worked well as walk only for decades. Pace of play here is not existent. The majority of the day time weekday clientele is 65-70+ and they do not give a damn how long they take per hole and they sure as hell are not letting you play through. That equals nine holes taking two and a half hours. Insane. Your greens fee covers eighteen holes but who the hell wants to spend five hours playing the same holes twice? $22 is a ripoff. Yeah, I get it. In the modern post pandemic world, golf course pricing is insane. But at the same time, why play here when you can pay $22 and play at Sawmill with much better conditions and with eighteen real holes? Again, I get it. Technically, there are no other courses within the city proper limits of Bethlehem except this place and the 18 hole course across the street. It's a very large captive audience and it serves them well because each place is always busy and packed. To me, if you're going because it's close and just easier, I get that. But sure as hell don't play here because you think it's nice because, honestly, it's not. read more

Decent course after maintenance is done, which is very rare. Pro shop workers at both the 18 and 9 hole courses are complete a-holes they just have this tone and attitude they use that makes you want you to shoot a 120. All the times I've gone, there has been this very sweet and kind older woman so I'm thankful there's something positive about that place! read more

Rude and aggressive staff that kicks people off the course at 15 min til closing. We were stunned.

The course is not that good needs to be taken care of better and the staff are not that friendly they came over to our group being very rude telling us that we can't play as a group and to split up like we didn't pay to play as a group The main two down falls of this course is that they don't have enough golf carts for the amount of people and the second is that if you have a larger group you're probably not gonna be able to play with each other (larger group anything over 4 people) read more

This course is an absolutely a nightmare Most of the par 3s are ridiculous lengths even for the senior tees. The greens are hellish and unfair They place them like it's a US open course which they must think they are but far from it. Every green the flags are on a hill up or down and impossible to stop. The worst was the 18th Pin was in the back right literally 2 steps from being off the green and on a down hill slope. Whoever is making the decision to place them there either thinks he is the green keeper for Augusta or has no clue what they are doing. The course was in good condition, and a good value for the price. Due to my experience with staff I am choosing to no longer visit this establishment. I made a complete reservation online with payment for 18 holes. I was never greeted at the check in stand but was rather aggressively told the way "he does it" is to allow to ride for the front 9 and walk the back nine only, due to it being after 1pm. I had a 1:30 T time. Their website mentioned none of this and the two staff members even agreed with me on this point. One of them chose to still argue his policy with me instead of choosing to display any basic customer service skills. Finally, one of them agreed to let me play until the unpublished close time of 4:30. At that point I was spoken to sternly like a child and ordered to have the cart back at 4:30 and to not make them send someone out to look for me. Also I joined up with a twosome on the course who had a similar experience. Not a hello, thank you or any acknowledgment for a paying customer. The website is vague and does not list the fine print that is only on display on a hand written 4:30 close policy. When returning the cart to the proper place ahead of closing. The employee who was argumentative was stationed to take back the golf carts. I parked, and exited the cart. Said farewell to my fellow two golfers at which point, he intended to clean my golf cart with a hose but missed and soaked my pants. It was 48 degrees out. I merely walked away, already knowing it would have been futile to bring this to his attention. I am thankful that they are open, and trying. I was shocked because I did nothing but show up on time, pay full price and ask that I not have to walk the holes on the back nine. None of this interaction was called for or necessary. I don't review or bash places. I love golf and always want to try and find the good in any situation. I also have never been treated like an enemy from the very moment you walk into a business. read more

I've been playing this golf course for about 40 years. I've never seen it in the condition that it's in currently. Fairways ,Tee boxes and sand traps have a quality of a country club. The greens are rolling fairly smooth and overall conditions are fantastic. The only issue they currently have is extremely bumpy cart paths. But that is supposed to be rectified and redone this fall. Once that's done this course will receive 5 stars easily! I would recommend hitting the grill afterwards. Bartending and wait staff are second to none. Lazy Employees more concerned about get out early than paying customers. A beautiful November day so I decide to play a quick 9 at the executive course. I check the website and it says it closes at 4 pm. I get done work at 3pm, arrive at the course at 3:20 only to be told the course is closed. I said the website says 4. He says yes we close at 4 the last tee off is at 3:30. I said it's 3:20 and he replies with "course is closed". I can't imagine any other business tolerating employees turning away customer 40 minutes before closing. read more

We have played at the 9 hole course multiple times and often never have a problem. Our most recent time (6/14), we paid to walk the 9 hole course at 6pm as we typically do. Immediately at paying, we were told rudely and aggressively we need to watch our time and that we only had 1 1/2 hours to play. We were finishing hole 7 with 35 minutes remaining. We were then told that we only had 30 minutes and that we needed to be off the course by 8. This would have been fine, however, this comment was followed by "if you are still on the course at 8, you'll be locked in for the night. I'll be leaving at 8." and stated that we had to skip the 8th hole and play through to the 9th. Upon leaving, we asked what the reason was for requiring us to leave early and being so rude, the man working stated we needed to be off the course at 7:30 (even though this was never a problem previously, because the course closes at 8). After we were forced off the course, there were still multiple people receiving lessons and at the driving range. Overall, we were left extremely disappointed with how we were treated. Any other course we have played at have always allowed us to play to the end, or continue our game another day. Professionalism was nonexistent. We would much rather play at a course where we are treated with kindness and understanding, rather than a course that treats us with disrespect. read more

Based on prior reviews I was excited to play at Bethlehem Golf Course. A friend was on the east coast from the Midwest and we wanted to play the best course we could find. I traveled from Harrisburg to play this course and wish I hadn't. Overall the course was in good shape (weather has not been favorable this year); however, this course was not the long challenging course we expected and certainly not worth the nearly $50 for a weekday morning play. Prior to booking a tee time I highly recommend you check with the pro shop if league play is going on. We played on Tuesday morning and after speaking with the Starter found out Tuesday's are ladies morning. To play 18 holes took us nearly 6 hours. This course has some quality holes but overall could use some improvements to be a top rated course. read more

Extremely rude staff. I was 5 minutes early and was yelled at because apparently here you need to be at least 15 minutes early. How on God's green Earth was I supposed to know that? Then, they made me pay 15$ for an EMPTY rental bag because my buddy who's never golfed before wanted to ride along with us. They said that every rider needs a bag, even if they're not playing. So ridiculous, it's laughable. I worked at a golf course in Maine and if I ever treated customers like that, I'd be fired on the spot. There's no trace of professionalism here at all. It's unbelievable that these people are able to get away with this garbage. Never play here, the course is also in terrible condition. read more

Absolutely terrible. Zero respect for pace of play. I attempted to play 9 holes on a week day and figured it would be better to walk considering the nice weather. After three holes in an hour and a half I decided to call it quits. I went back to the pro shop to explain the situation and was told: "My job is more important than your money. We don't issue refunds for pace of play." The mission statement of this establishment is "Do whatever it takes to get their money; profit takes precedence". read more

This is the type of course that ruins golf for people like me. I definitely don't look like your typical golfer, but I've been playing for 25 years. The 18 hole is impossible to get on on the days I can play. The staff is rude, and genuinely laughed at me today when I asked how I could get on the course. It sucks, it makes me not want to play the game anymore. I implore you, go somewhere else in the area, don't give these people your money and maybe their practices will change one day. read more

played the 9 hole Executive course today, 8/10/20. Fairly well maintained and interesting enough for a short course. One big problem today, however, was the lady in the clubhouse was NASTY. I've dealt with several other employees there who were far more pleasant. read more

I'm still playing here regularly. The greens have recovered nicely from the difficult winter. Pace of play on weekend mornings has been pretty good. I called the pro shop to ask for a ranger to prod along a group with 2-3 open holes ahead of them that was clogging the whole place up, they sent someone out immediately and solved the problem. One issue though...don't bother playing on a weekend morning when they have a shotgun start outing in the afternoon. They send groups off both the front and back from open to 9am, and when the groups come around to the 10th and 1st tees respectively, it is utter golf chaos and a total logjam. We once had a 8:32am tee time and didn't even get to play because it was so jammed and they couldn't get us off before the 9am deadline. read more

Offended by staff. Reserved lefty rental clubs for our outing, they only had one set which the staff already rented out to a previous group. Not only did they refuse to take responsibility or apologize for not having the clubs we reserved but the employee coped an attitude instantly. We were then shadowed for the front nine and told we had to play faster. We played a 3 1/2 hour round. This place can choke on a titalist. Won't be going back. read more
