View from the restaurant deck. Hole 1.

Just played in Turkey Scramble. The course is in better condition than early spring. Well maintained and the staff is super friendly.

Scenic place within the neighborhood. Easy to locate tee boxes but difficult to locate balls due to long grasses in some parts. Price was reasonable for weekdays. Clean bathrooms and property.

Maintained very well and the rain drained perfectly. This course has the most hills that I've ever played on. Very lucky if you have a flat footed shot. The starter and rangers (if they exist) didn't do a great job but very few courses manage the pace of play. The price was reasonable for 2021 golf.

Just added another star to this review as I played it again and all I can say is this track is awesome!!! How can a course be fair and unrelenting all at the same time??? Fairways = Perfect Greens = Impeccable Staff = Awesome You must be focused on every hole and every shot... Great Track!!! This course has always been on my must play list as I've heard it's pretty nice and you can also see #12 from 78, so it kinda calls you to play. Luckily the weather was nice enough (45-50 degrees) to allow us to play the day before Thanksgiving and all I can say is you better take a cart and be on your game when playing here. Although the course was in its winter mode, a little wet from the overnight rain and a stiff 2-3 club wind the fairways and greens we in great shape. I can't wait to come back in the Spring/Summer to see it in its glory. Only negatives I could say were the lack of yardage stakes/sprinkler head markers throughout the course but I think the carts have GPS monitors during good weather months and have been taken off the carts in the winter. Also, hole #12 was closed due to the overnight rain and the steepness of the cart path being too dangerous with wet leaves. New cart path design coming. All in all a great test of golf!!!

Lots of rolling hills and challenges. Not too difficult, not too easy.

Love this course. It's not easy but it's fun, the staff is fantastic and it's very convenient. They are very welcoming and the pros are top-notch. Very nice people. In fact, they went above and beyond for me, a new member, when I had a friend in from the Midwest. Couldn't ask for a classier club. The only thing ugly on this course is my swing. And we're working on that. Although there's no range, the do have nets and two practice greens to get warmed up on. So it's just what I needed. Looking forward to many years of beautiful golf here.

Great views and beautiful foliage in autumn. The course is surrounded by residential houses but they're far away enough that it shouldn't be a problem. Some holes are tricky, but it's pretty fun! Always a plus when the bathroom is clean and has soap!

Pace of play states 4:30 hours and we finished in about 5, got held up on back 9 a few times but no real issue with that. I was a little disappointed in the quality of the course. I went in thinking it would be pristine but some of the fairways were a little beat up (not terrible). The greens were awesome and even though most have lots of elevation changes, none all that sudden so as long as you get on the right level, putting didn't prove too difficult. The scenery is outstanding but makes for a challenging time. This was only my 9th round ever so don't let inexperience deter you. I had a blast and played maybe by best round ever (by performance not score). I don't drive the ball far so unless I hooked or sliced it way out of play I didn't have much trouble finding balls. The other two people I played with would have long drives and would end up losing balls because of all the hills as they couldn't see where it went after teeing off. Blind shots are fine but after awhile they were pretty frustrated because there was so many of them. Not sure I would go back because it was so physically taxing - the hills made it hard to drive a cart to your ball at times which led to hike up a large incline. Perhaps in the early spring, I'd consider going. The $35 after 2:00 is an absolute steal. I played the day before elsewhere and paid $60 for a pretty ho-hum course. This is anything but and 100% worth checking out regardless of skill level. My recommendation is to play a round and judge for yourself. It might not be for everyone but for us it led to an enjoyable and memorable afternoon.

Morgan Hill is an extremely challenging track that will frustrate even seasoned golfers. I wouldnt recommend it for a raw beginner. This beautiful golf course is right on the border of Pennsylvania and New Jersey and offers some breathtaking views of the mountains and the Delaware river. The theme of the day will be onward and upward, as every time you think you surely must be at the highest possible elevation, it seems you reach a point even higher. This culminates with the 16th green, from which you can see for literally dozens of miles. One word of caution, however, and that word is "wind." If it is a windy day, I would suggest you choose to play elsewhere, as the wind on about 6-8 of the holes at Morgan Hill can be absolutely brutal and reach a point where it takes away from a bit of the fun. Blind tee shots, undulating greens, pot bunkers, sand traps, wicked elevation changes, you name it, you'll have to deal with it here. It's fairly valued at $59 or $44 for twilight, and NY/NJ residents can play Monday and Thursday at any time for $44. But the $30 sunset (4pm) rate for those long summer days is an absolute steal.

I'm always on the lookout for different places to play...well, mostly if they're in the value…read moreplay/bottom feeder price bracket. This ain't no party, this ain't no disco and this ain't no foolin' around so unless someone else is paying, no way in hell I'm dropping $50+ a round. Harker's appears on GolfNow on a daily basis which depending on how you look at it, could be a good thing or a bad thing. Thursday 1pm tee-time for 18 with a cart for $22 and change? Yep! First the good. The course for the most part is actually in pretty good shape. Fairways are green and lush. Nice differentiated cut between the fairway and the rough and the greens are what you would expect. What's a little iffy? If you're not in the fairway or fairly close to it, a lot of holes have rock hard exposed dirt patches around/under/close to some of the trees that are impossible to hit off of (unless you want to break a shaft or fracture your wrist) or your ball will roll forever into the next fairway, etc. What's bad? Zero and I mean zero on pace of play enforcement. After 3 hours we got through a grand total of......11 holes. Multiple groups of 4+ people meandering and not giving a crap about anything but their own nonsense. We eventually went back to the beginning and played 1-4 and 8-9 before the cart had to get turned in. So....11 holes in 3 hours and then 6 more in an hour. Yeah, it was that painfully-disgustingly slow. Overall, sure, some of the cart paths ride and look like the government uses this place as bomb range from time to time and you will lose balls here without question with some of the hazards like the creek, trees and aforementioned brownout spots but.....if you can find them on GolfNow, the price is definitely right and you could do much worse at other area courses. (Sidebar, the hours that Yelp has listed I assume are for the onsite restaurant as the golf courses is open daily.)

Ever since the notorious C.O.V.I.D., golf has had a major resurgence. One could say that I'm…read moretalking about in terms of interest, but what I'm really talking about is the pricing. Most courses are obnoxious with where their greens fee pricing is and in terms of the ROI you get commensurate to course conditions. The area at different times had multiple, what I would call, value play courses but over the past few years things have changed. Tumble Brook closed. Willow Brook closed. Bethlehem Municipal's 9 hole course (no way I'll ever call that a golf club) is a dump and over run with carts. The last man standing is Sawmill. Below is what you're getting into: www.sawmillgolfcourse.com/course-information I've played here a ton this year. Time for the good and bad. Good: Pricing is super cheap. After 3pm it's $15 for a round. Can't beat that anywhere. Overall, tee times are easy to come by. Open year round. No holes are super intimidatingly long. Bad: Course conditions are all over place. Several holes/tees are still decent, lush and green even with the lack of rain this year, while others are near impossible to get a tee in the ground (#7 & #8 currently). Pace of play here can be a major issue. Even when they have rangers here, they're a joke. Either smoking in the parking lot or hanging out at #1 but never getting on to the course to try and undo any logjams. I've done 18 here (always walking - never with a cart - weekdays only) in a touch over three hours and it's also ballooned to around five hours. With that said, are any of the holes here that hard? Not really. No extreme doglegs or water and what sand they have is minimally maintained and plays like hitting off the parking lot asphalt. The only issue here would be elevation. The course is set on a hillside and certain holes like 5, 6, 14 and 15 have some healthy incline to them. If you come, you can either call for tee times or go here: foreupsoftware.com/index.php/booking/20706/5485#/teetimes Is Sawmill a five star course? Of course not, but you're also not paying for a five star course either. To a degree, it's honestly stupid to complain when you're paying $15 or $20. Nothing here is that bad. If you want better, plenty of areas course that will be happy to soak you for many times more than what SM charges but won't have the fun and interesting quirks this place has. Good Enough.

Sawmill used to be a decent value for what it is. While the staff has always been friendly, coarse…read moreconditions used to be, you get what you pay for. The fairways aren't well groomed, in places are plain dirt. In many areas the fairways were like playing from the first cut of rough at better coarses, and sections of some of the greens are like wash boards and unplayable. With the price increases, there are nearby coarses, competitive in price, that are nearly pristine and provide a far more enjoyable playing experience. Unfortunately first the price, Sawmill has become a waste of money.
