I personally hate doctors because they all tell me to rest and do less... As in: not listening... Dr. Pereles, on the other hand... Is a veteran endurance athlete. He was recommended to me by a handful of folks who sang his praises. Trusting them, I made an appointment as soon as possible. I was most delighted to learn that I could make an appointment that matched my schedule in just a couple days. They have an on-line patient information portal, but they ask for all that info in person... So, I am not too sure about the value of the portal except to check your appointment? Day of appointment... Arrive early... And I am seem early, too. Awesome. It gets better- thanks to Dr. Pereles. He identified and diagnosed my issue, then provided some stellar advice, and Most importantly, didn't need to quit my training. Smarter training was advised, and I am so happy for the insightful medical advice. I would recommend this fabulous doc to any endurance athlete.

The aides seem incompetent and often don't know what your warmup routine is or what you're there for, as if the information is not updated for your visit. Also, some of the therapists seem over aggressive in their treatments, and as an older patient I don't and can't do heavy weights and frankly I got worse going to my sessions. They also leave you unsupervised for gaps of time where no one can correct your form or take your heavy weight from you. The therapists also are always having in depth conversations about sports, their weekends, their lives, their pets, as they 'work' on you and seem unfocused and careless about their jobs. The front desk staff is also rude and disrespectful at times and there is always a backlog of patients waiting to be checked in! I came here because it's close to my house and i have used a doctor from this practice for years but I've now found other options for my treatment and PT!

I met with Patrick, who talked with me for half an hour really inquiring in depth about my pain and limited range. He then worked with me and made some adjustments, and I walked away feeling some relief for the first time in years after my very first session. After seeing him once a week for 6 weeks, I am pain free and have almost 100% range of motion restored. I feel as if the other clinics I visited were treating a cough when I had pneumonia. Patrick got to the crux of the problem and treated me accordingly. I cannot rave enough about this place.

But at Restore Motion, you work with the therapist for the entire hour. I have seen Reshma for pelvic therapy after I had a baby, then Kerry for hip pain. I only had to see them each two times before I felt better. It's amazing - I let myself live with pain for months and then they fixed me in 1-2 weeks. Now my young daughter goes to Kerry for a medical issue. She is wonderful with her - she shares things with Kerry issues that she won't share with me. They have fun together and she trusts her. I'm not sure why anyone would go anywhere that isn't Restore Motion.

Overall wait times…read moreand schedule juggling have improved since they installed their own X-ray machine this summer. With only one doctor at this practice, the game of three-card monte between the examination rooms tends to be the sole bottleneck to their appointment efficiency. Brynn is the great radiologist they have on staff now that they no longer need to outsource simple imaging to GCM downstairs. Laptop's probably a few years old so high-resolution images are slow to load, but that step has finally been added to the assistant's task list in order for the doctor to utilize his time and attention providing medical advice. The walls are almost thick enough to ensure complete privacy, and waiting room seating is small but comfy with Times and Sports Illustrated reading material. Examination rooms are mostly kept hygienic, and my casts were set for my fractures' best possible outcomes. Everyone here is quite friendly. Kelly at reception is a godsend, and proof of the proverb "behind every great man stands a great woman." She's helpful and efficient in all administrative details, and managed to prevent at least one nervous breakdown by expediting/resolving several issues with my insurance company. Phone call reminders of upcoming appointments are delivered by a real person, and you typically keep possession of all your films. I'm under the impression that the only time you get bumped from the schedule is when a patient requires urgent surgery, and even then you at least get a day's notice. As with any medical appointment, you're more likely to stay on schedule if you aim for early morning slots. Dr. Christopher Farrell has working relationships with two reputable hospitals, several surgeons well-qualified in other sub-specialties for second opinions, and half a dozen practices offering outpatient therapy. He has a pretty face and a pretty good bedside manner: come ready with your questions, and don't expect him to anticipate questions (or completely recall your case). He doesn't offer recommendations for any product or procedure that he wouldn't suggest for himself. He has been recognized multiple times by an industry publication as well as a local metropolitan magazine for his quality of orthopedic care, and overall I am sufficiently satisfied to support those accolades in the context of sports medicine.

She is just the nicest, kindest person ever. Stacey, advised me to go to the urgent care center when I couldn't get in to see an orthopedic doctor before the weekend. She even helped me find a good one. Then, when an appointment opened up, she called me and booked the appointment for me at Ortho Bethesda. Stacey, you are an angel. I went to see Dr. Gazdag and he was wonderful. He was funny and an excellent professional. We took more X-rays, so if you see a light in Rockville, it is just me glowing at night. I am in a boot and a cane, but no surgery needed. Amen! The people who work with Dr. Gazdag and Ortho Bethesda were awesome. They were very nice and helpful. I could be wrong. But my wrist sure doesn't work, but I "graduated" in exactly a month. I've never had an injury like this before. I broke my wrist really badly. Or more specifically- I had a left distal radius fracture with associated distal ulna fracture, then ORIF surgery/ open reduction, internal fixation- so I have a plate in my wrist now. I'd already tried a physical therapy mill where you learn and do your own exercises independently, you even timed yourself- so Danny the OT here was a huge step up. He seemed like he genuinely cared about what he does and the patient's successful recovery. After the last experience I felt finally someone will help me get my hand and wrist back to working order. On our first appointment he scheduled us for the next month of appointments. And funny enough, I "graduated" on that last scheduled day. I had no idea it would be the last day until the end of the appointment. It was also the first time he had a student/intern or something shadow him- which I felt uncomfortable with. It is just a hand, but talking about your defects or the vulnerability of not being able to do very simple things- is not something I feel comfortable talking about in front of a person I never met. It felt very impersonal. And despite the joy they expressed at my "graduation"- from the OT, the intern, and the OT's assistant. They all congratulated me. Which felt confusing, because I can't open a medicine bottle. I can't clasp anything on my back. I can't really twist any cap. I walk my dog with a waist leash because I don't have the strength on dexterity in that hand to walk him anymore with my hands. But I graduated. I was told this as if it was cause for celebration but I just thought- no one's going to help me. I took the steps instead of the elevator as I left the office for privacy because I started crying. I cried walking down the stairwell. I felt just abandoned with my often painful weak wrist and severely limited ROM. I don't know how to fix my wrist on my own and no one seems to care enough to treat me until I have a working hand/wrist. He was obviously done assisting me but as I looked up certified hand therapists - the best ones are in his office. He was done assisting me, but why didn't he recommend his colleague? A CHT. So I can open medicine bottles, and honestly just clasp my bra in the back. Or really a hundred things that come up every day. I don't understand why he couldn't help me fix this. It seems so wrong to just not at least refer me to someone. Every metric that determines a successful wrist rehab is abominable for me. By the range of motion numbers, I desperately need OT or a certified hand specialist. I was still dropped without notice or a path to figuring out how to tie my shoes in one try. I felt just hopeless about it. Like he thought this was good enough. My trust and hope is near depleted. It's just a hand. I know. But it's a part of me. Every time I can't do something I used to be able to do it's like a reminder I'm not whole yet. And I wish I didn't have to fight for the most basic rehab care. I'll start again, when I can muster the emotional energy to at least act like I have additional reserve of trust. I don't know if this is what people have to fight through, but it's not right. Especially when you're at your most vulnerable. I feel bad for everyone just trying to recover, who is left with a defective piece of themselves and the confusing task of navigating a way towards just being whole again, or even just regaining the ability to clasp their own darn bra.

He was very confident that he could give do the surgery and improve my quality of life as it pertained to my foot pain and issues. I am going to be honest, there was a good amount of work done to my foot. Repair a plantar plate, fix a mild bunion, and remove 2 neuromas. He said he needed to shorten the second toe. I did everything that he told me to do. I did physical therapy in his office for the full recommended time. I went every week wearing 2 masks in a crowded office. I did all recommendations...Alex Brinlee my PT was excellent. However, Dr Feldman kept pushing the goalpost when I was not pain-free with the right amount of mobility in my foot. First, it was, give it 3 or 4 months....then, it takes at least 6 months, then, 9 months I am sure it will be better, and finally, this usually takes a year...Well, we are about 1.5 years post and my second toe doesn't move, the pain barefoot is the same or worse and I STILL can only wear sneakers comfortably. I cannot WEAR a small wedge or simple ONE inch heel. He said that I would be able to wear better shoes and was VERY confident. One visit that I had where I was complaining about my pain and the thickness on my foot, he ASSURED me that the thickness GOES AWAY and also told me that my x-ray was beautiful. Hmmm...Oh, I am glad my x-ray looks so lovely but how about you acknowledge how the PATIENT feels? I definitely felt he was being extremely arrogant. So, as time has gone on, I am very grateful that I can walk. I am grateful that I have my foot! But not happy with the outcome of my surgery. I did NOT want to post this review, but I wrote Dr Feldman a letter letting him know of my displeasure. Of course, he did NOT respond to me. That in itself speaks volumes. I want say that while I do NOT think that Dr. Feldman did anything WRONG. It just happened but his arrogance and lack of solutions are what is disappointing. Oh, let me not forget to mention that he recommended that I "protect my investment" by purchasing $300 custom insoles that HURT SO MUCH I CANNOT WEAR them. A total waste of money. Think twice about going to this practice!!!! Is this the type of doctor you want? Arrogance and no offering of better solutions to what a patient considers a FAILED surgery?

My left back muscles were hurting and causing pain. By the time my appointment came the pain had subsided. Because I work in a café it is just a matter of time before the pain comes back and starts to bother me again, so I talked to Dr. Raffo about starting back up with physical therapy. Orthopedics Associates has gone; in the same office space is the superb CENTERS FOR ADVANCED ORTHOPAEDICS, ORTHO SPECIALISTS OF METRO WASHINGTON, SILVER SPRING OFFICE. In August of 2018 when I could no longer bear knee pain, I drove out to Silver Spring. Am I a creature of habit, or am I simply loyal? That's when I first met Stanley the PA and Dr. Christopher Magee the orthopaedic surgeon. I recall watching Stanley smiling as he called the patients and slowly walking beside those who were moving with difficulty rather than walking ahead to wait for them. I recall Stanley's patience as he waited for me to put back the needlepoint I had been stitching when my name was called. I remember my first meeting with Dr. Magee. Here was a physician who, although he had heard the same complaints from a zillion patients with my condition, listened intently as if he was hearing this account for the first time. After X-rays were taken, Dr. Magee began his explanation of the treatment. The injections were painless and there was no cortisone flare, as can happen. In fact, I was pain-free for 10 months although we are told to expect relief for just 2-3 months. And now about today, June 19, 2019. After leaving my one-level Florida home, I was back in Bethesda. After two weeks of climbing stairs, the pain was back, and I went back to Dr. Magee. The women at the front desk were efficiently and pleasantly checking in patients. Stanley was still doing his thing easily putting patients at ease, chatting and preparing the medication. Dr. Magee had taken the time to review my records before seeing me. How often does that happen? Once again, he patiently listened to my tale of woe and once again the two injections were administered. All questions were answered; follow-up was discussed. Am I creature of habit or am I loyal? Certainly, a bit of both, and certainly, as long as this practice is in practice, I will be back whether it's my knee, my shoulder, my neck, or my back - all body parts that have been treated in this familiar place but now with my fairly new doc, the very experienced, able and kind Dr. Christopher Magee. Stairs today? No problem!

Not 40 or 50 minutes each appointment, 40 or 50 minutes total. I got a prescription for Ibuprofen, and a knee brace. All of which is fine, I'm glad that they didn't try to do anything "heroic". They are billing **$950** for the knee brace. You can get one for $40 at a CVS half a mile away. At no time did they ever say something like, "You can get a knee brace at a drug store maybe 15 minutes away -- or you can use our $950 model." I would **never** have taken their brace at all if I had any inkling of what the bill would be. I never imagined that they'd mark up a $40 device by a factor of more than **20**. What they're pulling is nothing more than a greedy, sleazy scam. Yeah, the office staff is nice and the place is clean with a nice magazine selection. So what? It doesn't come close to balancing their slimy rip-off tactics. Unless you enjoy getting fleeced, avoid these people.
