You could see they truly cared, which is rare these days. I arrived 2 mins after breakfast and the woman re-opened the breakfast center just for me. We were so appreciative of the great hospitality. The fitness center was a little cramped and there was only one elevator but that is a super small con amidst all of the pros. Definitely a return visit if we're in the area. Stellar stay!

I have no complaints and the free breakfast they had was good for proteins and low carb. I was able to get back on my keto diet after blowing it completely in Manhattan over the weekend. The room was clean, and included a note on our headboard saying the duvet was also freshly cleaned. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was small, but functional, with a full line of Neutrogena soap and care products. But, It also included the loudest exhaust fan. Screamed like dying machinery. Toilet flushed sooo loud - we could hear next room's too, and we are sure the occupants have bladder control problems. No biggie - we were headed out to a nice Italian dinner at La Zyngara in nearby Bethel (highly recommended). So after a nice dinner we sat down to watch the World Series. No printed TV guide. Called the front desk and was directed to the channel before channel 1 The guide listing was of no use, as none of the channels corresponded to the guide. Guide said game on 15 - was on 13. Guide said college football game was on 56 - that was Housewives on Bravo instead. The front desk had no idea the guide was wrong, but gets high marks for going into a room to duplicate our experience with an apology. In room One Cup coffee was so bad... Breakfast was very nice, and the overall experience was mixed. If they fix the fan, toilet and TV guide it would make for a much more enjoyable stay.

We decided to buy a Spencer Sofa Roll-arm 93" by 24" and we love it. The new furniture gives the ouse a new look to our great room. Our Spencer Sofa is impressive. We choose our fabric and color including customize the cushions with help of Ellen Kily - the designer and associate. Ethan Allen did a beautiful custom finish on our sofa. I love the firmness , size and number of all the sofa cushions. They are a high end furniture company and the value is absolutely there. They did finally fix it on the last day after several requests and email and because now water started leaking from the pipes. We had to use our clean towels to soak up the mess. Due to this issue we missed our prepaid breakfast two of our days here. Breakfast was nothing to brag about. There is coffee and tea in the lobby in the morning. AC had dirty vents so breathing was an issue and the fridge was very noisy.

A breakfast policy that was confirmed at check-in was suddenly denied, and I was charged over $20 for a small bowl of fruit while being publicly berated. The staff's response was cold and dismissive, even as I was visibly upset and trying to explain the miscommunication. The front desk blamed a third-party booking agency I didn't even use for the mistake and refused to help. When compassion was most needed, I found none. This insensitive experience has made a tragic week more difficult, and I will not be returning.

I know that you can't please everybody and trying is next to impossible, but while I found the mattress to be rock hard, the first words out of mom's mouth was how much she loved the mattress and got the best night of sleep she's had in a hotel in ages. I have a pillow top mattress at home, so this isn't the hotel's fault. The other thing we loved was the check in experience in this sense. We couldn't help but mention that one of the things we were doing was going to singer Daryl Hall's restaurant/night club in Pawling, NY. Our check in clerk had absolutely no idea as to who Daryl Hall or Hall and Oates were whereas we've seen them play live five times. So the other check in clerk ( Rebecca ) starts belting out her rousing rendition of their classic " Rich Girl " trying to see if her fellow employee knew the song. He didn't, but to her credit, she showed a ton of personality and enthusiasm, which you don't necessarily get with a lot of people, especially when you deal with the public all day long. There was one downside to the hotel and that was we heard every horn honk, screeching tires and whatever else was going on outside the hotel. While I understand that a hotel can only do so much, it definitely needs more insulation or soundproofing as it can make it hard to fall asleep. The hotel however did make do and tried its best to put its best foot forward and if in the area ever again, I would stay here again.

One of the staffers followed children into my hotel room, when we sent them up for quiet relax time, and held the door oden while trying to go in. It was incredibly stressful for the kids on the team. They didn't try to work with either team, they just wanted to kick us out. Between the 2 team there, we brought the hotel in $25,000 (easily) that weekend. But they treated us so poorly.

I reminded them @ the front desk at 1 pm to make up the room then called the front desk again at 3:30 pm when it still wasn't done. At 6 pm we left for dinner & again told the front desk to make up the room. They said housekeeping had left for the day (!). This time they sent up the clean towels though. They finally made up the room on 6/30. Left 7/1. 3 stars because the pool & room were nice. Fitness center was okay; please put in a freestanding bench, there's plenty of room. Could do A LOT more with all those free weights if there was a bench. Our refrigerator froze everything we put in it, even on the lowest setting, which was annoying. Desk lamp in our room (412) did not work.
