Eddie, the owner, has not only installed mufflers on everything from limousines, motorhomes, and personal vehicles to my fleet vehicles, but he's even custom-installed flagpole mounts on the back of my trucks so I can proudly fly American flags. The quality of work is always excellent, the prices are fair, and Eddie is a genuine person who cares about his customers and the community. Only muffler shop worth going to in the IE! I had a custom exhaust that I wanted and this was the only place with great reviews. My friend with the exact same setup showed his custom line to Eddie. Eddie took one pic for reference and replicated it even better than what my friend has. They got it done on NYE and I went into the new year with a brand new exhaust. I recently got a ticket for my loud exhaust (no biggie, I knew the risk). I bought a stock exhaust and brought my car back to Best Muffler. His guys welded the stock exhaust a certain way so that it's easily swappable between my custom and stock. I get so many compliments on my exhaust and how clean the weld is. Can't thank these guys enough for their work!

I had my 1980 Trans Am Turbo towed to Best Muffler, ($29,000 valued restoration completed) the job was quoted 2-3 days, it took them two weeks or more. (Alex just kept giving excuses after excuses). Vehicle had just been painted and a new windshield put in. Vehicle was received back with a structural crack in the windshield (from being lifted wrong), it had a mark right over the crack like something was set on the roof, the quarter panel buckled, and there were several screws left under the hood which made the back corner come out of alignment and stick up (I found the bolts when it came home just piled under the hood). Alex stated "it's not my fault, I have cameras, please have it towed back ($400 my cost), he took exactly ZERO accountability, wanted to argue when I told him I would have my glass guy put in the windshield and after offering to take care of it, he stated "you can come look at 80 hours of footage to see what we did, we'll see". "He hen stated I will have my paintless dent removal man look at it". First of all it is "structural damage" not a dent, and it would be a cold day in hell before I had Alex and Best Muffler ever have my car in this shop again!!! IF I COULD GIVE THEM NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD!!!! NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR CUSTOM CAR, STREET ROD OR CLASSIC TO THIS SHOP!!! I would never ever let BEST MUFFLER touch any of my vehicles again and I would warn potential customers to beware of what this shop will do to your vehicle then deny everything. I am reporting damages to the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) and in my opinion all the delays were caused because they damaged the vehicle and were trying to cover it up. The shop owner does not seem to understand that when they are in custody of the vehicle they are responsible for damages caused while they are in possession of the vehicle. A complete waste of time and money. It will cost me triple the muffler and pipe job they did to correct the damages they caused. BEWARE!!!!!!

Only muffler shop worth going to in the IE! I had a custom exhaust that I wanted and this was the only place with great reviews. My friend with the exact same setup showed his custom line to Eddie. Absolutely the worst communicators PERIOD. Our Catalytic Converter was stolen so we took our rig there as they said they can fix it within days. They NEVER once called. Never returned a call. Not one time. Our insurance agent had the same issue with them. They got fed up and sent us a check to pay for it rather than deal with this shop anymore. The repair was done and we sold it the same day but it seems the repair is fine. But 3.5 weeks, not one week, and zero calls... Horrible communication. Get it together guys. read more

This place is amazing. I went in because I was rear ended and it pushed my exhaust pipes causing them to stick out on one side and pushed in on other side. They were able to bend it back into place. When asked what bill was Eddie owner said no charge. I was shocked , it seems anymore everyone is looking to take advantage of you. I would recommend them to anyone just good people do a good business. read more

This place! Man! I tried to get a muffler delete with new mufflers installed (which I was bringing in). Both times over the phone, I was told, "Bring it in tomorrow at 10am." I arrive, and both times, line is out the door and no recollection of telling me to swing by. Each time I talk to someone, it's someone different. I got tired of how they "book" appointments so I called up Warners Mufflers in Oceanside. Told them what I wanted and they said, "if you can get here by 4pm, we'll get you in and out." Got there at 3:55...by 4:05, my car was up on the lift. read more

If I could rate them 0 I would. I took in my 2013 Shelby GT500 to get an x pipe installed and they ruined my $300 front lip. The installer was too careless driving up the lift and didn't realize the lift was too high and the spotter told him to take it easy and he still scraped the lip BADLY! I had to go to a car show tomorrow, and now I can't! Take your car somewhere they treat it with care. Not even me that is a girl, ever scraped my lip & My car isn't even that low!!! read more

Eddie and his familia are just as nice as when I came to them a year ago. I came to get my Mustang loud and they do not disappoint. I see some people complaining about wait times. Don't be that person... Best muffler does HIGH QUALITY work and I'll wait 30 minutes for them, than be in and out at some muffler shop that just wants your money and will rush the work. Trust the process, these guys will have your car juiced no joke. read more

I was trying to get to a home that was high up on a hill that was barely a road to do the census. On the way up I started to hear a metal sound and pulled over. My muffler had came off in the front so that it wasn't safe to move forward. I thought I was stranded but a wonderful stranger came down the hills and I was nice enough to stop. He bungeed my muffler up so I could get it to this shop. They were great! Allowed me to pull in and welded it back on so quick and for such a fair price that I brought them back pizza! Lol They don't like answering the phone- but I'm sure grateful that they were able to help me and got me back in the road quickly!!!! read more

They are literally the best muffler shop around no pun intended. They are all great guys get the job done quick clean and right. Best deals I've ever seen! Got my resonator and muffler deleted for $110 + $50 exhaust tips (even though he said $15), but still way cheaper than everyone else in town! One other shop wanted $160 just for the muffler! The only issue I have besides the tips, is the wait time they told me was 30 minutes for each delete, but ended up taking about 2 hours each. (Did it over two days) read more

I brought my truck in with no appointment to get a Carven muffler installed and they took my truck in after only about an hour wait and installed it flawlessly. Took them about 30mins. The welds were great (wayyy better than other exhaust shops I've been too) and the customer service and price was great too. read more

I got my exhaust done here a few months back but it started to leak. It was a super quick and easy fix so I called in over the phone at about 2pm and asked if they had available for around 5pm and they said they had availability. I came in at 5:10 and they've already closed the shop and said that they won't take it in because they didn't want to move cars around. Again, job probably would've taken less than 15 minutes on a lift. read more

Fricken love these guys! Been going to them since I turned 16 (10yrs ago now). Eddy and his family that works with him are just great people. Honest, solid work, etc.... This is the place to go for any kind of automotive work you need. Eddie has done 7 of my cars exhaust systems over the years as well as 5 of my family members. Every single one of them happy with the end result. I just saw them today for a muffler delete and to install fresh rear shocks on my Kia Rio (commuter car). I had been told that I needed a tune up but the quotes were a lot so I was putting it off. Well it took a turn for the worse and was getting close to undriveable. I made an appointment with a reputable auto repair shop in the area to get it taken care of. They looked it over and called me and said they were declining to work on it because it had over 10 codes on the OBP scan, they had to jump start it from the parking lot (news to me) and could barely drive it into the bay. They recommended taking it to the dealership (out of the question) or start looking for a replacement vehicle. I left dejected, thinking it was a goner. I called around looking for someone who would be willing to work on it and right away. One call was to Mario, who had a mobile service. I wasn't sure about the mobile thing as opposed to a brick and mortar garage but was willing to roll the dice because he had an opening the following morning. He was running behind due and I considered going to a local shop because I thought he might not be able to get to me and I needed it done that day and couldn't put it off. However, I just had a good feeling about him, and because of our phone conversation he really demonstrated a lot of knowledge about my vehicle. I decided to wait it out and have faith in him, and it really paid off. Not only is my truck purring like a kitten again but his cost came under what the shops were charging. In fact, I couldn't even get a firm quote from other people- they were leaving the door open that the price could go up depending on what they encountered and were also talking about $200ish diagnostic fees in addition to the repair cost before the work was done. I'm gonna be calling this guy, and I'm gonna keep his ass busy. I had a trusted mechanic for over 20 years who passed away, and so I was a free agent looking for another good guy. I think I'm officially off the market and I have three cars that need upkeep. 100% satisfaction today. He's definitely a master of his craft and was very fair and honest from soup to nuts. I was referred by a friend to this place. I called in the morning of January 17th, 2014, to see if Eddie have time to check out and work on my car, but at that time.. he had a lot of cars to work on. So I called back again later that same day in the afternoon, but he was still busy working on some cars and told me to call back in a few hours. A few hours later, I called back and told me to bring my car. When I got there, he took a look at it and did a quick evaluation. I had to wait about 10-15 minutes or so, but it was totally worth the wait. Excellent services and very friendly people. Eddie, he's a really nice guy and knows his stuff. Bro this guy named Eddie that works there is a rip off he charged me $500 to do a muffler delete and not just that when he installed it it's leaking from the areas that he Mickey Moused welding and I take it into his shop and tell him to fix it he tells me come tomorrow I'm a busy man really busy like I don't have time for bullshit you already charge me $500 to do it Muffler do it I gave you what you wanted but yet you won't give me what I want all I want is my car to sound good and not whistle from all the holes he left after welding the tips and mufflers SMH read more

Took my F150 in, got a muffler delete. Loved it but wanted a deeper sound. The owner helped me find a solution. I got a resonator delete and a flow master put it. Sounds great and prices were way better than the competitors. Autocross performance and mufflers is right down the street but the prices are way more expensive, the customer service sucks, and the shop looks like it is out of a trailer. Highly recommend best muffler, they will be my auto shop for life. read more

When the "Check Engine" light came on in my 2003 Ford Explorer, I was worried. My neighbor recommended Best Muffler, and boy, and I glad that she did.
