She was so nice and extremely helpful when I expressed my problem areas and recent diagnosis of endometriosis. She suggested me doing 30mins of a combo massage and 60min lymphatic and I'm so glad I did. Ruby is truly amazing. She kept checking in on pressure. The massage was so relaxing and long overdue. I have spent extra money on ride share in the past just to make appointments since I don't drive, and my fiancé gives me rides the times he can. Generally, I have 80% satisfaction rate with my massages with her. Today was 40% satisfaction rate. I was coming from Manteca and there was backed up traffic, but I left 30 minutes before my appointment, as it normally takes 20 to get to her business. In the middle of the time when my fiancé was driving, I texted Jessica to let her know that I would be late and that I had a restroom emergency so I'd have to be a little more late than I already was. While I fully understood not going over in the appointment because she wouldn't have wanted her other clients after me to be affected, and therefore her business get more bad reviews than my 1, what IS upsetting to me is that Jessica only worked for half the time of the appointment, on half my body, and not only made me pay in full (when being late and having a restroom emergency was out of my control) but took the rest of the only money I had in my wallet just because she couldn't not break cash. She knows that I am poor and that I don't have a good paying job to justify a longer appointment than 30 minutes. All I had, period, was $60 in cash from birthday money that my mother gave me. I'm broker than broke. She robbed me and took advantage of me, today. If she had charged me half for the half service she gave me, then I would not even be sweating this at all. If she had charged me $25 and I gave her $40 (because all I had was 3 $20 bills) then I would still be happy. For now on I will stop going out of my way to continue my loyalty to businesses/businesspeople if they cannot make adjustments for special circumstances. Time is money. While she may have felt that I wasted her time by being late with traffic and my emergency (for which I contacted her ahead of time), she wasted my money for a half service. It's not right to charge someone full price if you're only doing a half time service.
