However, I believe the butcher and the employees at the meat counter just don't care. I came in last weekend 10/3/2026 to purchase some of their flap meat that my wife wanted from here. I have to say it just keeps getting worse every time and seems to consistently decline in quality and value. And the butcher at this location just does not care. I specifically asked the employee at the counter to not give me so many pieces with fat, silver skin, cartilage, etc. He proceeded to appear to be selecting what he was placing in my bag. Once I got home, and began to prepare the carne asada, lo and behold, he seemed to have given me all the worse scraps. With guests on the way, i did not feel like it or have time to go back and toss this garbage at them. So I went ahead and had to clean it all up myself. I ended up tossing almost 1 lb of fat, cartilage, and silver skin into the garbage. How hard is it to do better stater bros? It seems like these butchers at this location just don't care. Why pass on this garbage to the customers. Do better stater bros. Last time for me at this stater bros meat counter. I will have to drive farther out to a different store.

I was being charged extra weight on some oranges after an employee changed the code of the fruit. Changing the code or description of an item should not change the weight of an item. The price was the same per lb for both selections but it went from charging me $7 and change to $11. When you don't pay attention and this is happening on all your produce, how much are we being overcharged on these already high prices?
