    **Complaint regarding Covid-19 protocols.**…read more We hired Donna for a home inspection which took place on February 20th, 2021. We insisted ahead of time that we would be wearing masks, and the sellers also requested that all individuals wear masks inside their home, but Donna and her partner refused to wear masks. There is currently an emergency order in effect in Anchorage that requires individuals to wear masks. I have also made a formal complaint with the Municipality of Anchorage and the Better Business Bureau. When we emailed her to express our frustration, she responded rudely by saying she doesn't "subscribe to the hysteria around this so-called pandemic" and also that she has a "health condition" that prevents her from wearing a mask. I have asthma myself and I wear a mask 8 hours a day. I teach 3-year-olds with disabilities, and almost all of them are capable of wearing masks. She then proceeded to provide "evidence" from LifeSiteNews.com that "the survival rate exceeds 99%" and that "masks reduce oxygen by up to 20%," along with other claims that have been proven false countless times. I have provided screenshots of these emails. She also had political and divisive bumper stickers on her company vehicle. I have never been more disappointed in a service I have received. She does not take health and safety of her clients seriously, which is hugely concerning for someone who inspects homes for health and safety violations for a living.

On March 2nd, I reached out to the company to inform them that they missed a major safety concern during the inspection. The door in the house we just purchased had been previously kicked in and the door frame was shattered. The pieces had been caulked back together. It was a very sloppy job at that. Donna responded to my email and asked when she could come out to look at the door frame. So we agreed on a time. Prior to the appointment I sent Donna a message to let her know my husband had an emergency call and he would be later than he originally thought. Instead of responding to the email, requesting a different time, she sent us a very nasty message (screenshot included). Her last email (screenshot included) acknowledges that her inspector missed the broken door frame, but instead of taking responsibility or even apologizing, she proceeded to tell me that she recommends that  "...you worry less about the 1/2" wood that provides little security..." I am baffled by Donna's response to me. Her company robbed us of making the best and safest choice for our family. Had this major detail been made known to us we would have completely changed how we would have proceeded with the home purchase. We would have requested it be fixed correctly or an allowance for us to do so. But that choice was taken from us by this office. This inspection was an utter failure! And Donna refused to provide a resolution to their mistake.This company has left my family with a shattered door frame, with a completely unacceptable patch job. I expect a sincere apology from this office along with a plan to correct this major oversight.
