I can't say enough good things about Joe. In the last 13 years I have had a few different home…read moretheater installers come my way as I have changed and upgraded my home theater. Some have been great but have also come with a ridiculously high price point while others have been down right horrible and didn't know much other than mounting TVs. In this business its hard to find someone with good balance of quality work and a decent price point. Well enter Joe and CAV installations! I happenstance stumbled upon his yelp page which was buried 5 pages deep because most other installers were flaking out on me and am glad I did!! For Joe this is not just a business but also a passion. He literally can talk about the advancements in Audio/Video and home theater all day long which he did with me even though it was nearly 7pm on a Monday night. The thing that I was most impressed with was the fact that he is a perfectionist and if something didn't look or sound right to him he would make sure it did. He has an eye and ear that is more fine tuned for this than we consumers do and he'll let you know it if it isn't right even though we may think it is. He even went as far as calibrating the projector to THX certs on his Ipad for free!! He charged me for 2 hours labor even though he was here for well over 3 hours! I apologize for the long review but Joe deserves an in depth review because he indeed is a diamond in the rough. If you want an installer who knows his craft to perfection, a colossal professional, timely work and at a great, affordable price point give Joe a call. I doubt you'll be disappointed! Joe thanks again for the great work. Much appreciated.

The install was not without delays due to unsatisfactory cable service and unexpected home repairs. This all thru off the install. Joe's work entirely satisfactory. It took several conversations with different reps to admit that they were a defective or recalled (?) product and this was after two service calls that were far from free. Then the unit battery in my basement went bad...another service call. Furthermore, I found them to be repeatedly negligent in calling me when the alarm was tripped at least 5 times. This was all thankfully accidentally over a year or more but they kept calling a wrong number. I eventually found that out. What if it was a true emergency? You get the point. Not a happy customer ;) There are DIY security systems for well under a thousand dollars that don't require the same expensive service calls and can be monitored remotely by the company and on your own phone. ANE offers all the standard feature for significantly more. I would estimate you'll pay triple what you think for the lifetime of their products. They also didn't mention how long their sensors would last when installed. I can't recommend this company or many of its competitions that I've tried. Go with one of the big name DIY systems and pay the monthly service. You'll still save money vs going to ANE.

The customer service is 0/10 and I mean it. I spoke to people on the chat and on the phone all equally rude, don't help at all and they will either end the chat on you randomly or hang up the call and don't bother calling you back. In the last week and a half I've spoken to about 6-7 reps all for service call that none could really manage to see how to schedule. And then the 2nd to last person scheduled the visit and didn't even tell me when it was, so the final person spoke with told me a date and time and I told her that doesn't work- why schedule a service call without asking the customer what works for them? Like I don't understand. If you vocalize how angry you are- they will end the call or chat. I've seen nothing but bad reviews and it's unfortunate because I'm stuck with the stupid device for another 2 years. I wish they would really work on their customer service skills and actually value their customers. I noticed they have a sorry response to everything but nothing gets fixed, so it defeats the whole purpose. Go elsewhere don't even bother.
