I took my husband's good silk shirt to this dry cleaners and explained that chewing gum had melted in its front pocket. They said they thought they could get it out, and I paid $10.50. When I picked it up, I didn't notice that it still looked awful, and my husband actually wore it. I took it back for a re-do today, but #1 no apology for not getting the gum out, and #2 they wanted to charge me another $10.50 to try again - no promises - because it had been more than a month since it was cleaned. Unfriendly, no apology, no recourse, I was out $10.50m and the shirt had to be dumped in the garbage. Do NOT use this dry cleaners - it should go out of business! read more

I noted that there was a small tear in one armpit and decided to mend it myself when I got the jacket back. I'm really happy with my experiences so far. I started bringing in clothes for alteration. I have decided to start thrifting/buying secondhand as much clothing as possible instead of buying new. I had many pieces I had thrifted that I really liked, but didn't fit right/were the wrong size. So far, every single piece I've brought in for alteration of the waist, length (including skirts and pants), and alterations of other areas (like shoulders) and even turning long tunics into Vietnamese style garments (reminiscent of ao dai's).... All these "projects" that I have sworn I would sew myself, but never have any time or enough knowledge to do it, I've brought here and they've done an amazing job. Several pieces I brought in were made of silk (silk pants, a couple silk tops), and the sewing job looks so professional. I can barely tell the clothing was altered. The sweet Korean lady was really patient with me bringing in a mountain of clothes to put on in order for her to apply pins and measure. I have enjoyed this service so far, and I like how much my wardrobe is improving. read more

I picked up on date noted on ticket and was told that only three items were ready and told to pay for all and pick up the items later that week. I went back and they could not find the items. They were not apologetic. They did not honor their word and frankly did not care that they lost the items. For such a beautiful place to live...this is a very ugly and dishonest business in our Community. read more

We have been customers for many years on a weekly basis for dry cleaning and occasional alterations. Everything is done in a timely manner, professIonal and friendly. I am able to sew and have the understanding of quality or not and feel that they do a good job for minor alterations, e.g. get pants shortened, etc. I don't think I would bring my husbands favorite business suit to be tailored, or have a special dress taken in. To be fair to the business it does mainly dry cleaning/laundering with alterations. I'd look for a tailor if special things need tailoring/altering. read more

Friendly service. Normal prices. I don't know if they charged me for the sewing. I had my comforter sewed in a few places and laundered. My failure was to pick the conforter up myself and inspect the comforter's stitching job before I paid for it. The comforter was clean with no perfumes from the detergent. However the sewing job to fix several holes, was horrible. It had obvious loose threads when I pulled the comforter out from the bag. I'm not a seamtress in any way. But I could have done a better job if I had done it myself. I don't think the woman at the front does the sewing. Nor do I think she/whomever inspected the sewing job before they gave it back. But they need to. I didn't have time to return the comforter and show them the poor workmanship because it was the only comforter I have. So here's the lesson, ALWAYS INSPECT THE WORK BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE STORE. Make a point of it. read more

DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING HERE TO BE ALTERED! My daughter took her prom dress in to be hemmed and altered along the bodice. She picked it up the Thursday before prom and we noticed that the seams along either side were crooked and the material bunched. She took it in the following day and was told they would fix it, without an apology or explanation. I went with her the next day and had my daughter try the dress on. Not only did the seams still look horrible but the seamstress had sewn OVER the zipper so my daughter wasn't able to take the dress off unless she pulled it over her head. I pointed out the issues to the owner who was very rude and continued to pretend that he didn't understand what I was saying. He informed me that they weren't "professionals" and he couldn't do anything other than have her bring the dress back next week after prom and they would try to fix it. At this point I demanded he reimburse her the $75.00 she paid for alterations. At no point did he attempt to apologize for the shoddy work and became very angry when I asked him to give her money back. However, when he saw that she couldn't unzip the dress he slammed $70.00 down on the counter and proceeded to give us the very rudest apology I have ever received. My Kindergarten class could have done a better job. Luckily, we took the dress into Porter Street Cleaners. The alterations lady was very shocked at the state of the dress and said they are never supposed to touch the sides of a dress. read more

I brought a leather jacket in to be cleaned and repaired on 11/10/17. I was told that because of the holiday that this item would take two weeks instead of the usual one. It is nearly 5 weeks later and the item is still not ready. I have had to call several times, and BEST DRY CLEANERS can still not give me a clear idea of when the jacket will be ready. No "I'm sorry", or suggestion of a price reduction. My husband does not have a winter jacket, and the paltry 10% discount was finally reluctantly given. After going there 15 years I brought in one of my Brooks Brothers dress shirts. Taking it on a trip I opened the shirt to attend a formal dinner I find out one of the collar buttons has been torn off with a half inch by two inch tear under my shirt collar. When I brought the shirt back to the cleaners and asked for some type of compensation, the owner laughed in my face and told me I was responsible for the tear as his large machines are not capable of damage. My wife and I will never use him again. read more
