It was like a sad, cake-less episode of Mission Impossible. In a final act of desperation (and possibly madness), I opened a Yelp project request, and bam--Santos to the rescue! Not only did he respond faster than a pizza delivery guy, but he quoted me an amazing price despite it being a last-minute, urgent cake mission. Like, I could almost hear him say, "Cake? No problem." Then, the real magic happened. Santos sent me photos of him arriving at the bakery, a screenshot of the GPS routing him to my sister's home (he's basically the cake delivery GPS whisperer), and even a shot of the cake safely at my sister's doorstep like a true cake hero. Santos's service was above and beyond anything I could have ever expected--professional, friendly, polite, and seemingly part-time superhero. I purchased a new built-in GE Monogram refrigerator to replace an existing unit that had seen its…read morebetter days. A-1 Delivery was the default service I was assigned by GE. My initial contact, Marissa was super. She was friendly, prompt and did a good job coordinating my deliver. The field supervisor, Carlos had to come out and inspect the job ahead of time to make sure my big refrigerator wouldn't cause any damage. He was very cautious and I'm glad he took the time to pre-inspect the job. Since my townhouse is on the 2nd floor it looked like it wouldn't be possible to do a normal delivery. Instead, Carlos suggested a crane to lift the refrigerator to the 2nd floor. The crew that showed up that morning were on time---Yay! Both the removal and installation were quite difficult and time consuming but the crew was tremendous. They were detailed oriented. They made sure not to damage my home or flooring in any way. And they didn't rush to get it done, instead they took the time to do it correctly the first time. Thanks guys, I appreciate all your efforts. Update: 3 weeks after my initial refrigerator install I had a lot of water leakage that came from under my fridge. I called A-1 and they sent someone the very next morning. They did a superb job fixing the leak which was caused by an older water hose. They diagnosed the problem very quickly. The technicians were very thorough and made sure they remedied it so that I would not likely be having any more future issues any time soon.
