She works as a team with her employees that she has trained and worked with so they understand each other very well sometimes without words. I had been very upset with my hair for about a year and Faye said to me one day .."Sit Down ... What would make you happy"? This place caught my eye as I was driving by so I went in. I like that it was clean and nice looking, that's important. I checked - in on yelp and there were 2 yelp coupons so that was cool Faye gave me a conditioning treatment and haircut. I liked the fact that the haircut didn't take 45min. She did a good job for it being as quick as it did. I liked her! She had a fun personality and kind of looks like Eva Longoria! Tabatha needs to come in here and take over and help readjust everything, including Faye's attitude. Never again! I purchased a Groupon to this place for a haircut, deep conditioning treatment, color, partial highlights and style. What I got was a whole lot of attitude and what the hairstyle is referred to as " Groupon Groupie" treatment. I showed her a picture of the hair color that I wanted. She told me that it wasn't possible since the picture was taken at a certain lighting. I understand that it wouldn't be as vibrant but never did I expect you not have the same hair color. I also showed her a picture of a hairstyle that was done on the previously, no problem she said she could do it. At the end that hair color and the haircut didn't look like the pictures, but she kept trying to convince me that it did- you be the judge. The picture on the left is the hair cut I wanted and The bottom left corner is the color that I wanted. I ended up with the picture on the right. What a "Groupon groupie" means around here, is a customer that goes wherever there's a group on deal. She was trying to accuse me of doing so and that either way Groupon customers never come back. She also warned me that whenever businesses offer a Groupon they usually do services of lower quality since they will never come back anyway. I told her that customers do recognize that and if the business owners intention is to retain customers that would never work so what's the point. I purchased a Groupon for Ninongs in Granada Hills and ever since then it's been my favorite place to go. You should check it out! I used a Groupon and the owner had a smile the whole time and made me feel welcomed, maybe Fay should take some notes. I found Jessica over at Zen nails in Sherman Oaks like that, since then I've found my nail girl! So Faye, my suggestion to you is if you don't like paying Groupon 50% and you're going to treat a customer like if they're asking or begging for a free service, don't use them! Simple, problem solved. There was so much tension the whole time I just wanted to get out. Now my hair looks terrible and uneven. She cut one side shorter than the other and explained to me that that was "the style." Sorry, uneven is not " the style" I asked for and then she accused me of showing her a picture that did have that "uneven look" and I should have told her how I wanted it. UHM, I'm not a hairdresser- I wanted what was in the picture. I let the pictures do the talking. Sadly, even her regular customers would come in and say hi and smile at her, funny because I caught her rolling her eyes and using that fake friend high pitched I've been missing you tone. They don't use coupons, why the attitude? Basically regular paying or Groupon, with so many other options forget about this place! Now I hate my hair cut and The color is nothing like I wanted it. :( She suggested that I find a hair dresser and please stick to her, not go from place to place. First off, you may suggest that if you are paying for it, secondly, my original hairdresser of 8 years moved to Antelope Valley. Honestly the lady who works here is super nice and I've come here before and don't remember any issues however this most recent time I came in for a walk in I think the lady Faye might have been a little busy but she still took me I told her I wanted just the dead off a little trim I wanted to keep some length and a little face framing but she immediately just started chopping off large chunks of my hair of course I realized I would have to lose some length because of the dead ends but I eventually left with layers in my hair ( which I hate ) and the face framing part of my hair is cut way to far back instead of a little piece so I look like I have short bob from the front and long hair in the back but the cut is so blunt it looks so bad and weird I'm really disappointed this time around I'm going to have to deal with this for a while read more

FIRST TIME CUSTOMER I called for an appointment based on yelp reviews and was recommended to Lyly for next day hair cut, now! This review is to caution people regarding the issues one can have with prices at this place. Although the owner teies to be super friendly with you but mind it that she is SUPER manipulative as well. She tries all possible ways to get the most money out of your pocket by literally imposing the products she has on her shelf apart from the service charges. And since I am aware of this being a long time customer but also very well know how to avoid falling in her trap of buying products, but today I was totally shocked by this utterly dishonest trick of hers. So she was supposed to give me a hair cut which is always $35 based on my medium hair length (Before it used to be $30) and she was going to tell me after looking at my hair about how much she will charge me for dying my hair as well as for highlights. She told me the color would cost about$60-$70 and the highlights will be $140-$150 and said that this work will take 7-8 hours (which wasn't the truth because I have been getting this done from another place in maximum 3 hours). Finally she suggested me to get the color done and maybe come back for the highlights and I liked the idea because I wasn't even willing to color my hair the same day and wanted to do it after 5 days because of traveling but because this way I could divide the time so I preferred this way. At the end when she was done with the color she also added a toner service for me saying it was an extra favor. I told her I didn't like the shade that much because it was too dark but I told her maybe I will like it later after looking at it in proper light. But what made me so shocked was when she charged me $60 just for the haircut (which is pretty much double of her regular price) and even her website says it is $25+ but a charge of $60 was quite overwhelming and disturbing because I go to her for HAIRCUTS since 2014. So I am ending this long story by letting people know to confirm the prices with her before and do not fall under the trap of her adding hair products in your cart. I hope it helps. read more

One of the worst haircuts I have ever received. It was my first time going to this salon and it will be my last. All I wanted the stylist to do was to trim it. I am growing my hair out and it just needed a trim before going to my job interviews. During the cut, the stylist was using sheers that where not sharp enough.
