The Owner Mike Cole put on a good show, sharing his knowledge while explaining what was going on with my kitchen floor. He came over twice, once with his dad, to look at the situation. His dad said, "he is really good at what he does"... we established a good relationship prior to the decision to hire him. Everything sounded great but...he took my money and ran! Haven't seen nor heard from him since I have paid him 50% of the job 4 days ago. I asked for receipts reflecting the payments and he said he would send them to me right away. He has never sent them. I do have his signature/date confirming payment though on the work proposal. After the demo on my kitchen floor and another small area, POOF! Gone! The following day he was to come over with the materials and start the install portion of the work. I tried calling him, texting him, and emailing him. I now have no kitchen floor along with another torn up area to deal with. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY/COMPANY! If there was an option for a "zero" grade on this review I would have clicked that star!!!
He is a terrible businessman and terrible Manager. He had to have his wife send the work proposal through TOLTECH. He claimed to have problems registering his business, blah, blah, blah...He had a big problem shuffling jobs, got calls on his phone about problems at other facilities he was working on and even stated that he had to at least "make an appearance" on 1 job the day he was to be here installing my kitchen floor. I had to recommend how to handle his schedule for him to make it work!
Hindsight is 20-20, and looking back, when he told me he is 7 years sober after 6 DUI's, I congratulated him for his success in rehab. Seems I should have read these reviews before making my decision. The address he uses on his paperwork is a house that a friend of his lived in who is deceased as if that is his business office. He took over this company for his friend and may have renamed it. read more
