Alvin from Trout Masonry and Concrete came out right away. After talking about the job and what I wanted, I ended up with 3 different quotes from Alvin - the initial small project, and two extensions on it so that I could look at various price points for what I wanted. The quotes were very fair and, after talking with my wife, we went with the largest. This included removing an old, small patio and pouring a larger one as well as fixing some holes in our brick house. Alvin was great - he and his crew came out when they said they would. They kept the site clean. They took care determining the slope for water runoff and they poured a great looking deck. Afterwards, he cleaned up. Overall, a great experience and we couldn't be happier with the results.

Both neighbors had new driveways installed, and within just 14 months, both driveways developed significant pitting and chipping. One driveway even has a crack running across it. I had my entire walkway replaced, and it is also showing pitting and chipping after only 14 months. All three of us contacted Olsen Cement and requested inspections. The response was disappointing. Damage from salt pop off from vehicles and told that the deterioration was due to our failure to seal the concrete and that the problem was essentially a maintenance issue on our end. That explanation doesn't hold up. I have a 30-year-old driveway that has never been sealed and is still in better condition than the concrete Olsen installed just over a year ago. To make matters worse, one of my neighbors was eventually offered a one-time driveway sealing application at no cost. I called and asked if my walkway could be included when they came out since they would already be on-site. My calls were never returned. When they arrived to seal my neighbor's driveway, they didn't seal my walkway and still never followed up with me. The poor quality of the concrete is one issue. The lack of accountability, inconsistent customer service, and failure to return calls made the experience even worse. Based on our collective experience, I cannot recommend Olsen Cement.
