The repair ended up costing about 2x what they originally said which ... hey that happens. The quoted it sight unseen, then looked at it and decided it was bigger than they expected. They put this junk in, plug it and then you cut the plugs flat after a few days. Repair at 6 months is holding. The other people that looked at it were thousands if dollars so I thought I'd try this...glad I did. I only have before pics Prompt and repair that worked.

BUYER BEWARE OF A1 HANDYMAN/A1 WELLINGTON CONSTRUCTION/VINCENT AUGOSTINO…read more On March 21st I contacted A1 Handyman/A1 Wellington Construction/Vincent Augostino to remove 2 trees and repair some concrete/mason work. On March 26th, I signed a contract and gave him a deposit. The agreement was to have the work completed in one week. On April 2nd I contacted him to find out what time he would be here. He indicated that he was about 3-4 days behind. Then on April 8th, his dump truck was in for repair. He still indicated that my job would be done by the end of that week. On April 11th, I was told no part could be found to repair his truck and he didn't know when it would be repaired. At that time, I told him that I could not wait and requested a refund. From there, it has been a nightmare. I've been trying to get my money from him since. After many, many emails, I finally got a small partial refund on April 30th. He still owes me a substantial amount and all I get is one excuse/lie after another. I tried again on May 17th to get him to send me my money and again he didn't do it. I'm putting this on YELP so that he doesn't do this to anyone else. He is located in Southgate, Michigan Whatever you do, do not hire this unscrupulous company/person.

(Front step replacement) Called the day they were to start and rescheduled for the next day. Showed up for a couple hours to do demo work then left. Came back the next day only to stay for a couple hours. Job not done. Didn't hear back from them for a week. Scheduled to come back and "finish" on a day I couldn't be there. I came home to a nightmare! They destroyed my lawn, left a mess, and the job was no further along. It's been a series of excuses and complete blow off ever since. They never finished!! It's been months of headaches trying to deal with this guy. (Vince) I'm out $3000 and still have an incomplete job that nobody wants to touch. I'll let the courts handle the rest. Buyer beware!!
