If I had to describe this store, I would say that Terrance Dixon goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. My personal experience with him was exceptional, as he helped resolve my car alarm issue. He is a true asset to the store, and I'm grateful to have met him. His outstanding personality and commitment to providing excellent service make him a standout employee. I had an issue with the customer service rep on the phone, she was very rude (Abby) and didn't care about my package not being delivered on time. I ha d to wait 2 weeks for my order.Best Buy's online delivery service purchasing a product was terrible, the time of the arrival of my package was not accurate. They changed my address of delivery when I specified where I wanted to send it to and I had to take off multiple times just to even track my location order. Went in to buy a new laptop on my lunch break. My only criteria is I wanted a relatively cheap laptop as I was only going to be using it for online poker. Their stock on hand was non-existent basically. The employee tried to sell me a laptop they did not have in the store. Let me elaborate, he recommended a specific model that only cost $449 and was on a deep discount from the $629ish price point, I said I would take it and he goes to ring me up and says its at the Plymouth Meeting location but I can pay for it here. I informed him I prefer to actually look at the computer I am buying and find it odd handing money over to this location without even looking at the display model. This was after he tried to sell me the $199 protection plan which was the focus of his sale. When I said no thank you he tried to sell me the Microsoft yearly subscription office suite when implicitly said only buying a cheap laptop for strictly online poker. I was in sales for a number of years and I get it. You want to make extra money when you are in a sales position as I am assuming the associates get a bonus or some sort of incentive for the protection plan sale and / or selling Microsoft with the purchase of a computer. The problem is you have to take care of the customer for their initial need first and perhaps not steer so hard to the sale (Best Buy's verison of a hard sell, if you don't buy the protection plan at time of sale on new computer you can't just come in and get it - I am not sure this is true but this is what I was told). I ended up driving the extra 15 minutes to and from Plymouth Meeting and got the computer. The associate I dealt with at PM was helpful and the opposite of a hard sell, simply was knowledgeable and answered my questions. I wish this store and the associates all the luck in the world but perhaps some sort of customer training program dealing with customers would be an added benefit for the customers and for the employees, I believe its what is called a win-win. NEVER USE BEST BUY WHEN YOU CAN GO TO AN APPLE STORE I have been trying to get my battery serviced on my iPhone 13 Pro. It finally dropped below the magic 80% threshold. I spoke to Apple support who ran diagnostics and confirmed that the battery was sufficiently degraded to deserve replacement under Apple Care. I foolishly choose an appointment at Best Buy instead of an Apple Store because it was a bit closer to my home. When I arrived for my appointment, I waited in line for 20 minutes, worked with Geek Squad person for 20 min to fill out something on their computer and was told they could not replace the battery that day. I was told to come back the next day. So, I came back today for my new appointment. I waited another 15 min to see a person, then another 20 minutes with that person "trying to find the ticket that the person yesterday had started". Finally, I was told it would take an hour to replace the battery. I went away, came back an hour later, waited the mandatory 15 min to be seen. This time, I was told it would be another 2 hours before the phone would be ready. After engaging the manager, I was told it would ONLY be another 30-45 minutes. please, for your sanity, just go to the Apple Store where they have some clue what they are doing and have some commitment to customer service. BTW: I still don't have the phone back. So, I'm not totally sure they will be able to fix it. read more

Let me start off by saying this is my first bad experience with Best Buy. The group over the years was great, but I will say that my dealings were with people that were slightly similar in age and understood the value in customer service. Whereas, this younger generation rarely takes the time to think about the customer versus themselves or even the store! I have never posted a complaint and/or a review in my 52 yrs, however, I have to say that this management team (Jordan/Manager) lacked the empathy that people are accustomed to when receiving a service. The fact that this group gave us the run around after we paid for the services and waited 60 days for an install was beyond me. The appointment was for an 11 am install, and arrived at the front ON TIME. I could be understanding if we were late. We had to wait for someone to even take notice that we were there in the store, after about 15-20 minute wait we were instructed to go to the back of the building for the install in which we did. After speaking to the install group were advise to go to the front to grab the items that were delivered for the install. "Why wouldn't the install person go and grab the items that they needed versus sending the customer?" Then after going back the front to get the merchandise that was delivered we headed back of the rear of store for a 2nd time, only to be told its too late we are not going to be able to complete the install. We immediately asked for a manager/Jordan who seemed disconnected and did not care one iota about the wait and/or the fact that we were given the run around. She tells us to give her a few to speak to the install people and after 5 minutes comes back to us and tells us they can't do the install because they do not have the time, and, if they did make that concession to complete our install that would mean one of the installers would have to stay later. Wow, perfect that! Staying a few minutes to do a job your paid for is taboo in 2025... Keep in mind its now 11:47am and we were on time and waiting for service! What happened to the days when customer service meant something you were looking to value the customer experience, money and time that was spent. I did not feel that Jordan was proficient managing the group and or our expectations. The only solution was come back March 11th or take a refund. I expected the manager to say let me work out something with the install team and/or call another store to see if they can assist, not bump us out another 30 days. I can see this Willow Grove store in PA lacks the solutions skills to support their customers. So, ultimately they refunded us over $1k in merchandise and another $500 in install fees. I do not hold the entire Best Buy company at fault, but I will not shop this store again for any reason. read more

A contracted technician, working for MasTec Network Solutions in DE, hired by Best Buy to install our new TV, propped up our new sound bar against the wall. Then he proceeded to knock it over and it hit the wall and damaged it and the sound bar in three places. After he did it, he said "Whoops, sorry". We filed a claim for damages with pictures that we took of the wall and the sound bar. We have to get the new wall repaired now since there are gashes in it. It has to be spackled, sanded, and painted. The brand new sound bar also has three nicks in it where it hit the wall. Best Buy denied our claim saying they were not responsible for the damages. Then who is? Not me. I wasn't the one who wasn't paying attention, propped the sound bar against the wall, and then knocked it over. At one point the two techs had our brand new Sony Bravia OLED $3,000 TV balanced on top of the open cardboard box. Then they had it on the wall with the level balanced on top of it and they were moving it around. The level could have fallen off and onto our brand new hardwood floor. The were not careful at all and didn't care. Best Buy hires these techs and then when they damage your house, they deem them not responsible. Best Buy is negligent and extremely irresponsible for denying the claim. I do not recommend Best Buy or MasTec Network Solutions to install anything. They are careless and don't pay attention to what they're doing. Do not use them. read more

We wanted to buy a TV. First we stood around for at least 15 minutes. Then we were "helped" by an employee whose name I didn't get, but who was comically inept. I told him the size of TV we wanted. He asked what brand we wanted. I said I didn't know and asked him to show us some options. He pointed at the TV in front of us and said it was a good TV if you have an Android phone. I told him that I don't have an Android phone. Then he asked what brand I wanted. I repeated that I didn't know. Then he told me that it would be helpful if I knew what brand I wanted. I told him for the third time that I didn't know but that I would appreciate some advice. He told me that things work better when customers know what brand they want. I told him for the fourth time that I didn't know. This was one of the funniest interactions I've had in recent memory, but I had to cut it off and ask if there was someone else who could help me. He seemed relieved and got Adam, who was fantastic. Adam gave several recommendations at different price points and explained the features. Then he helped me get the cords and adapters to hook it up to my sound system. He even lent me his tape measure to see if it would fit in my car (not even close!) Adam was great. I have been a Best Buy member for over 15 years and recently was talked into buying a total tech membership. It was explained to me that buy buying total tech I could get televisions installed and help with wiring. Needless to say, in a perfect world. I bought 2 televisions in April 2023 and scheduled installation in early May due to work schedule. My installation to this date has not been completed. I have taken off of work at my expense or sat at home all day to await an installation that has not been completed. Every time there is one excuse or another. On several occasions the person they have scheduled to perform my installation has not arrived at all, has lied about the reason they are cancelling, or has arrived before or after their scheduled window. Needless to say 6 days off waiting, several months after buying the television, I still continue to wait and they continue to call to complete installation, really. How many more hours do I wait or take off work to have Best Buy complete their job. I have tried to reach out to Best Buy in Willow Grove, PA, but you cannot call the store individually. I have driven to the store over 20 times to arrange installation or to talk to a manager to be reassured that the date we have arranged has the appropriate people with knowledge to complete my installation, only to be disappointed again. I have also tried to call corporate and email them only to find there is no number to call or complain and emails that go unanswered. I will never buy anything from Best Buy again. I have recently spent at least 5 thousand dollars on merchandise from them and can't believe their service is nonexistent. read more

I didn't have the best experience buying a TV. The staff was nowhere to be seen, and we had to flag down several people for someone to finally help us. The employee who helped us didn't really have any answers to my questions, but I suppose it's better than someone who's trying to upsell and pressure. Every time I go in here, I'm surprised this place is even still open. There's so much open floor space that it seems inevitable that they're on clearance. Let's just say that if you ever need to do mobile pickup here.... just don't. You'll be waiting at curbside for 30 min while some clueless cashier sits there waiting for his line to be completely empty before he does any of it. Then a whole bunch of people will be in the warehouse popping out to talk to people.... Today, I did an online order for pickup... they picked it up and said it was ready... meanwhile, the mobile order pickup had a line going down because no one was coming to do any of the orders. The single cashier says "there's a line... I don't have access... I've been busy." So I say to him that I'm not waiting in line twice for this and he calls someone. So that person comes to the front and finally helps the people in line before me (which is good) Then a couple before me starts talking about how they had a service contract on their washing machine but they can't find the order in the system. Turns out this line which is backed up is ALSO a customer service line. So they have 4 people running Geek Squad but they decided they should combine a customer service line with a mobile order pickup and only have one person do both tasks. Meanwhile, these people are so badly trained that they can't multitask and no one is pushing them to get the people moving at all. This is really one of the worst Best Buys I've ever been to next to the one in Princeton, NJ. I mean... just seriously avoid this place and use Amazon unless you must have it and can't make it to St Davids to go to MicroCenter. MC is a better store where you can actually find computer components. Just a better experience. But if you need a movie, don't come here. Just buy it at Amazon. Ok-Went in to Willow Grove looking for answers. Richard was amazing, and when we were looking at pricing, every single tv, had the incorrect price. I asked for a manager, and I got Joe, the GM. Never should be allowed to be even a manager, let alone, a GM. The price was above the TV, and in so, the price should be honored, or at least, the GM should be nice and said he apologizes and maybe he could give me a discount, but, even though, no one was in the store, and they hardly have workers, he was willing to just let me walk out by saying " It is for a different product. Well, I didn't put it there, and honestly, I didn't think he would give it to me for that price, but I thought, with all the businesses not making money plus every single one of the prices being incorrect, he would be nice and offer a discount off of the regular price. Best Buy is a good mass electronic retailer localized in every county. I come to this location often. In most cases, you can rely on meeting your electronic/technological/entertainment needs when visiting. I usually only deal with computers or phones whenever I stop in; occasionally, I will purchase a DVD/CD on sale. They have pretty good deals when you can catch them. I've taken advantage of their low price guarantee policy. It's a good policy for any retailer because consumers will always feel that they've got the best deal. I do think they should extend the time period to utilize it, however. Best Buy also has great protection plans for devices if any accidents occurs--I recommend it. I appreciate the employee's product knowledge and assistance whenever it's solicited (or not). Sometimes you'll get an occasional lackadaisical employee but otherwise they're helpful. Overall, reliable and reputable. Not to mention, it's usually a fun visit to play around with devices/gadgets on display. read more

Really bad experience with the car installation in the back of the best buy. I wanted to them to install my new automatic starter on my BRAND NEW Rav 4. I didn't have an appointment but they said I could leave it there for the all day and pick it up at night before they closed. Picked it up at night, then the next day I opened the door an realize there was a blade on my floor mat, pieces of the cut off wiring and then I notice SEVERAL scratches on the inside panel. I was very frustrated, like I said before this was my BRAND NEW CAR. I showed them the next day and they wanted an estimate for the damage from my dealer. I have been a customer at this Best Buy all my life. I'm a physical media buyer and Best Buy is my primary business for purchasing blu-rays and 4K's for my collection. I've seen this Best Buy's selection reduce to almost nothing. That is another issue entirely though as I know every Best Buy has depressingly reduced their stock as a whole. My issue is not the reduced stock but rather the stock the website says is in-store but hasn't been hitting shelves. The brand new James Bond film "No Time to Die" released today and didn't even have a spot prepared on the shelf. This is disgraceful, No Time to Die is arguably one of the most successful films of 2021, I should not have to ask staff to go grab me one from the back. This also happened with Shang-Chi on it's release day. I had to wait in line for 20 minutes just to get someone to grab one for me before I could wait in line AGAIN to check out. I know some might suggest I order on site for pickup but the copy I got handed is the reason I don't. There was a big dent on the corner of the slipcover. This is why this NEEDS to be on the shelf so people can see how damaged the products are and pick themselves accordingly. I ended up leaving the damaged copy and just leaving rather than wait in the ridiculous line and go find it at another store later. I have spent thousands at this store on physical media over the years. The least they can do is get someone to stock the shelves before they open. And this was at noon I went, absolutely unacceptable for films like No Time to Die and Shang-Chi to not be ready on shelves. read more

Buyers Beware of 15 day return policy. In mid-May I purchased a network extender that i didn't end up needing. This was the middle of the Covid19 pandemic and stores were only open for curbside pickups, and were not accepting returns. I attempted to return the extender after restrictions were lifted, and in store shopping had resumed. The return was refused because it was outside their 15 day return window. How was i suppose to return the product within 15 days when we were in the middle of a global pandemic. Most other stores extended their return policy during this time. Best Buy should at least accept the return for store credit. The failure to amend the return policy during a global pandemic is in my opinion poor business practices and they have lost a loyal customer. read more

Dehumanizing customer service from a security guard named Eric. I spent $1400 at this location. On my way out, Eric checked my receipt while letting a man walk past me even though he set off the security alarm. I bought a TV that needed to be brought out from the back so I pulled my car up to the curb and waited. 20 minutes later, I see it coming so I walk in. Eric stops me, tells me this is the first time he's seeing me, and does not allow me to get the TV. Instead, he says it's for the people who checked out after me (I know this because they were standing in line behind me). I argue that I've been waiting longer and he tells me it's a different TV than the one I bought (an insult to my ability to read). He ignores me, walks past me, and loads the exact TV I bought into their car. He then proceeds to mumble into his radio, does not tell me when my TV will be out, and does not make eye contact with me. By the time my TV comes, I've been waiting 40 minutes. How secure can this location be when its security guard does not remember faces, barely reads receipts, lets people walk out who set off the alarm, and treats customers like trash? I am never buying from this location again. Had this not been an anticipated purchase, I would have returned the TV immediately due to this disgusting treatment. read more

I however did have on a mask mine said THIS MASK IS AS USELESS AS JOE BIDEN which the guy he was helping said to me that isn't very nice, I stated I thought it was the truth. The Best Buy employee told me to keep politics out of the store and that masks do work. NOT TRUE. The employee was the one who bought up politics not me. I went on Sunday to upgrade my phone with one of their Verizon representatives. I knew what I wanted, am unlocked white Galaxy S10. She didn't try to sell me a more expensive S10+ or any unnecessary accessories just to make a commission, and she was helpful throughout the whole process. She transferred the data from my old phone to the new one without issue. The unlocked phone was $400 cheaper than the "Verizon phone" (that can only be used on Verizon) Verizon sells for $900 over the course of 24 payments, and when you get 0% financing for 18-24 months (depending on the price) when you use your Best Buy credit card, so it was a steal compared to Verizon's price. I was so pleased with this experience I'm going to upgrade my phone at Best Buy instead of Verizon from now on. read more

I asked to speak to the manager and she was the most arrogant woman I've met in my life. I could tell that she hated her job and was taking out her personal issues on me.
