You would think a card holding Best Buy Geek Squad total tech member would matter to this company and store- it does not. After purchasing high dollar TV and paying $179 for installation, the tech tells me it would cost $100 more to turn it on and connect it to WiFi. I've had so many issues with Best Buy service after spending many thousands for appliances, TVs and computers over the last year that it isn't worth the trouble anymore. Customer service has gone south. I told the tech to take the TV back to the store and I will take the rest of my high dollar recent purchases back. Short the stock if you own it. read more

Geek squad tried to sale me a membership ($200 or without $300) for factory reset for my surface. To make a long story short was told going to take 2 to 4 days. Came home went to youtube and found the process to reset my surface. It took 5 minutes. I would not every go or recommend Geek. read more

Please do yourself a favor. Do not purchase and especially have your high-end equipment installed by their staff. We had to make two trips to the store to have our stereo equipment installed, both with scheduled appointments. At the first appointment, it took them 7 hours just to say that they had lost some of the parts of the equipment, (that we purchased from them) and they could not do the job without the missing parts. It is BestBuy's merchandise, why could they not just get one off the shelf and finish the job that we waited 7 hours already for??? They apologized and promised to "make it right" so we made another appointment. The second appointment took 4 hours, no special treatment and definitely did not expedite the install. Call me a glutton for punishment for even going back a 2nd time. Please, please do not make the same mistake we did by trusting BestBuy or the Geek Squad. LG is probably the worst appliance Ive experienced on the face of the earth. My dad bought a LG bundle with All of the appliances included for a measly $9,000 just for almost all of them to stop working. The oven doesn't heat up to what it is set to, the fridge stopped making ice and then stopped freezing in general all in only 3 years. We just bought a condo! Need TVs - go to Best Buy - buy 2 for delivery & install. Sounds simple right? NO! Install guy is 2 1/2 hours late AND he only has ONE TV & Two wall racks! Has no kit to fish the lines inside the walls & so we are Not Happy. We will now spend More Time chasing this to resolution and have to spend another day waiting to do this again! We were in the Best Buy in Stuart today and as with all other stores, they are understaffed with it seems just one person in each department. After waiting for a customer service gentleman finishing up a sale, I went up and asked me if he could help my husband and I. He told me there was one woman in that he was going to help and right after that he would be with us. Well, I'll tell you, it was definitely worth the wait. Jay was amazing. We asked a ton of question about TV's and he answered every one, and actually showed us features that we hadn't even asked about. He was amazingly knowledgeable, courteous and patient. Considering how busy he was he didn't try to rush us in any way. I asked him about a return policy in case we didn't like the TV and he gave us that information also. I called and asked Geek Squad to come out and troubleshoot a 70" tv. The lady said she would arrange to send them out but I'd have to pay $199 for them just to come out. I told her that I had spent $5000 in 2020 and Geek Squad came out and hung my TV for $50 professionally (no wires showing). We were told it was a defective phone and we'd have to return it to Apple because this model always has issues. Explained my problems on the laptop and they seemed disinterested. Told me it will be ready in three day. Hmmmm how can that be if they don't know whats wrong. Got a call to pick up my laptop in three days and asked what was wrong? Told Nothing, No viruses so nothing was wrong. But I said what about the slowness? What about all the error messages? Told nothing wrong. Now my laptop is still giving me error messages and running as slow as before and having another issue. Best Buy kept giving me the run around and they got a supervisor to extend the warranty 45 days they sent the Geek Squad out but the technicians could not do anything because there was no confirmation number for the extended warranty. I was scheduled for a stereo install on my truck Monday. We were told it would take two hours for the installation. My appointment was 345. They did not take my truck in for four hours causing us to sit there for six hours waiting for our vehicle. When it was finally done, the store was already closed to find that there was damage done to my dashboard and someone would call us back, which never happened. Not very professional at all. I will change my review to a five star if I can get a certain problem solved. The staff was friendly and very helpfully. I bought a nice TV with all of the accoutrements. A nice guy named Stefan helped me out. He said it would be to my advantage to have Best Buy Geek Squad help me out rather than a service they outsource. I thought so too..looking into the future in balance with past experiences, problems can be resolved a little bit more readily when working with the main heartbeat of the operation. So we agreed on a a day. Unfortunately I had to reschedule. When I called back to reschedule, I was told that it would be the contracted firm doing the installation. I said that is not what I was told and I really wanted the Geek Sqaud . The guy helping me was polite enough but I had to be put on hold for over 40 minutes while he tried his best to get an ally with the Geek Squad. He said they would not be available until Jan. I took the appointment time but I'm not happy with this resolution. I will call and speak to the manager tomorrow and see what they can do. Tried to use the 5 year extended Service Warranty on a Dishwasher. Called and was passed around to 3 different people before being able to book the Service. Finally got it done. Service was scheduled for Thursday January 2nd between 8AM and Noon. No one showed up all day despite repeated calls. Finally reached someone who rebooked for Friday January 3rd. You guessed it no one called or showed up again. repeated phone calls resulted in a merry-go-round of people who had no clue what they are doing. Since then we have been unable to reach anyone. Checked everything out in terms of guidelines for a price match before walking in, but as usual they do everything to prevent helping you match the price. Went to customer service to match a cm600 cable modem. The lady at first matched a $99 price, at which time I indicated the price was actually $79. She said she could do $89, but then changed her tune and said it wasn't the same model all of a sudden (she had already matched it) when I pointed out they only make one model, she said there is nothing they can do. I am outstandingly frustrated with this location and am outstandingly angry at how poorly they addressed their mistakes. I called this store location on Aug 13 at 4:21 pm to make a reservation for help. I arrived today only to be told no one is qualified to help. They then pushed me to the side for half an hour to half-assed "help" other customers who were just as displeased. When they finally called me back up and brought in another staff member who was also unqualified to help, they fed me lie after lie as to why they acted the way they did. They finally beat around the bush enough to inform me the closest store qualified to help me was over an hour and a half away. It has now been 3 weeks since Best Buy has not returned the money they have stolen from my checking account. I have spent many hours on hold only to be shuffled from one person to another to no avail. Not one person that I have spoken to has any intention of doing anything about it. Not only do they owe me the money they took from my account, they also owe me the refund money. Today I was on hold again for over 30 minutes only to be told that I would have to drive down to Stuart because "there is nothing they can do over the phone."
