Needed a laptop. The young lady who waited on me was both helpful and friendly. She was also knowledgeable and patient when I had questions or didn't understand something. I mean really? What is RAM and gigabyte? I, of course, asked if there was any type of discount available, citing AARP, and friendly lady discounts. Her response was no, but that she would speak with the manager to see what she could do. Girlfriend came back with a $39 discount! Whoopee! I gladly paid for my new Dell laptop! But it doesn't end there! That night I found the laptop on Dell even cheaper. On the following day, I marched back into Beat Buy, laptop and receipt in hand. Even though Dell is not on their price matching list, that same manager very nicely approved the lower price for me! Now that calls for a big Whoopee! I purchased a $900 computer from Best Buy I told the employee I didn't want the $300 3 year warranty but I also didn't want the computer if it didn't come with some kind of in store warranty the employee then told me I would have a one year warranty with Best Buy if I had any problems to bring back the computer and they'll exchange it. Lol WOW! If you need to pick something up or return something, be prepared for awful customer service. It is 100% clear that they don't care about you or helping you. My husband got a lovely eyeroll when they fulfilled his order incorrectly. Like it was his fault??? On top of that, I watched an older woman beside us bring in a laptop she said she was having trouble with. The service rep shrugged and said, "have you even plugged it in?" I understand that working retail isn't totally awesome, but if you are going to treat every customer like crap, consider a new line of work. Their GEEK squad is so geeky they have no common sense about computers and seem to think that every single problem can be resolved with a simple re-boot. I bought a Toshiba 43 inch tv from Best Buy on the 3rd of July 2021. I went to Jamaica on the second of June 2022 for my uncle's funeral. While I was there my baby father came home and turn the television on it keeps rebooting. I told him maybe it just wants to refresh so I will get in touch with best buy. I tried calling but it places me on hold and I couldnt wait that long seeing as how I was international. I came home the 27th of July I called best buy on the 29th. They told me they would send someone. The person call me and told me it wanted a parts so it will take a week. A week the parts came and I called to inform them. They came and open the toshiba tv to find out it has a hisense parts in it, they say its the first they are seeing this so they would talk to their general manager who will reach out to me to help me sort it out! I call and text and no one assist me up until now. I called today and they said I have to call hisense now I bought a toshiba tv with no knowledge of any hisense brand (never like that brand so I wouldnt purchase it if i had known) no one told me any thing and now i am stuck with a tv i cant use. I am in utter disbelief.......i call hisense who said i must ask best buy to order the parts i am in a circle i dont think i deserve this. Reach out to bbb who reach out to Best Buy, someone call said they would try to assist as best as possible I told them just want the parts so my tv can reboot and work. They call me couple days after to say they can give me 150 store credit mind you I purchase the tv for over 300 dollars. Three stars however because when I did go to return something, one of the customer care Representatives was very helpful the other one who actually handled the exchange acted as if I was committing a crime by returning The item. Waited close to an hour only to find out that it would cost $150 to replace the glass...and this is the price with their Geek Squad protection. A rip off. I drove almost 40 minutes to get to my nearest Best Buy with my sons computer so that the Geek Squad could repair it. When I arrived at the counter I was asked if I had an appointment? No where on their website does it say appointment required. I was told there were 7 appointments in front of me, I looked around, I was the only one there. They were going to make me make an appointment and come back another day! I asked to see a manager and he began to tell me the same thing and I asked when is the next appointment, he told me it was now, again I was the only one there. I asked him where was the customer service that Best Buy boasts about, where was the need to take care of the consumer? He looked at me as if I had asked him to explain physics. I said since the current appointment is not here, can they help me, he went into the back and came out with a Geek Squad member named Jonathan who was extremely helpful, and I ended up spending over $350 which is less than I thought it would be. Best Buy almost let $350 dollars walk out the door as well as I would never shop there again. I have bought at least 6 laptops as well as other electronics there including 2 PS4 systems. Businesses really need to get back to helping the customer, we do not always shop for the lowest price, we shop for customer service. That's why I grocery shop at Publix instead of Walmart or have my vehicle serviced at my dealership instead of a Tire Kingdom. I value service over savings and so do a lot of people. read more

This is mainly for shameka in the geek squad department. Employee was very rude and upset to three other customers as well as me in an hour time span. Noted she was also the only one out of uniform but nonetheless behind the counter. Had a appointment, checked in on time, was not helped until forty minutes after check in. When I returned to the counter and asked shemeka for assistance i was given "you need to go sit down ain't nobody going to help you until then." You literally have to go looking for an employee for assistance. I used to shop here all the time a few years ago, but then they changed the floor plan of the store and new employees came in who don't seem to care as much. My husband bought a tv there and and following day when he went back to pick up that tv they refused to give him the Tv saying that they made a mistake on the tv. I made an appt for broken iPad screen. Really you just wait in line for your turn. But I got to a rep in about 8 mins. I handed over my iPad to Kristen and for the next 30 minutes she typed, looked at her screen and wrote some things down. Gave me a piece of paper and asked me to sign and fill out the back. About 15 minutes later I asked what was happening a she said she was doing diagnostics. Then I asked when it would be replaced and she said about a week. Another 15 minutes later she gives me another disclosure to sign, asks me if my contact information is complete. When I state the address is my second home she informs me the PC will be sent to the store and they will call me to pick it up. A little communication from Kristen would have been helpful to let me know what the process was, why it takes 30 minutes and when I would get it replaced. After I paid the fee she handed me the receipt and disappeared into the back room. If you have a choice don't go here. read more

I went and purchased stove, refrigerator, stacking washer and dryer. Needed it all by Monday. Started waiting for delivery at 6 am Monday no show all day. When I called and waited an hour on phone, they had no explanation. I went back to store. They said order never got completed computer glitch. They did not apologize for inconvenience. Rescheduled for next day. They called next day and cancelled again this time they called. They can't deliver one worker called in with Covid exposure, so no one is getting deliveries. The manager who accomplished nothing even made me wait for his business card which is nothing but generic phone number for store. SERVICE SUCKS SO BAD AND THEY KNOW IT AND DO NOT CARE. Management should all be retrained or fired. Wish I read these reviews before I shopped there. But don't expect to get any real tech savvy answers if you have them. It seems to me that they go thru help at a rate where they cannot train them in any particular fashion. Besides not getting any real help on site the biggest issue that I have had almost every time is calling and asking questions. I have been disconnected more times than I can count and the technical or questions that I have asked about their stock are NEVER answered accurately to what their own website says and I have been left hanging and doing my own long research before purchasing. My last problem occurred this week, which is why I am reviewing this way. I called in with a general question about Black Friday and I have never been more disappointed than this time. The guy answering the phone sounded like I disturbed him from playing a video game. I asked him a simple question about the TV deal coming up and after asking he said, "I have no idea, I will be eating dinner with my family, so I dont know what to tell you". This kind of response angered me to the point that I will NEVER go back into this store. Amazon has better prices than most of their stuff anyway. I made a large purchase at Best Buy on March 31. Checked my email before leaving the house to look for any coupons, none. However, when I got home, I had an email from Best Buy for a coupon on a $250 purchase in store for a $25 gift card. Offer valid from March 31 to April 6. I called not only the Best Buy credit services but also spoke to the rewards department. They would not send me the gift card. They told me to go to the store and return the item, then re-purchase it to get the gift card of $25. Both of these departments could not help me and told me to go back to the store. First, I thought this was a big scam, since I received the email after the purchase was made. Second, what an inconvenience to the customer, to make the customer go back to the store for the gift card. read more

If your thinking of going to best buy please read carefully. Did research for a while and found the big screen 50" I wanted and found that Best Buy had very competitive prices. Went there to buy but first had only one question. If I have a problem with the t.v. in the first year while under parts and labor warranty is it in home service. The first salesperson said he couldnt answer that question. Gave me unsure double talk. Called over another salesperson. He couldnt tell me Samsungs warranty policy then added if I buy the extended "geek squard" policy they will handle any warranty issues in home. Keep in mind they sell thousands of t.v.'s and surely know the makers warranty policy. He hinted that if something went wrong I might have to ship it to Samsung. That would cost as much as the tv. He actually agreed!!! I expressed that if thats the case the warranty is useless. The salesman said thats why buying the store extended policy was needed. Spoke to a manager. Again no definitive answer about warranty repairs if needed. Said he didnt know Samsungs warranty policy but if I buy the store extended warranty (that cost as much as the tv) the geek squard will handle warrany claims. So I went to my car and called samsung customer service. They assured me that if the tv is 40" or larger it is parts and labor in home service. Even said it in writing on the booklet. CONCLUSION. Best buy apparently have trained thier salespeople to be very, very veg about warranty policies so they scare you into buying the best buy extended warranty. They darn well know the warranty policies of the products they sell. Illegal? NO. Unethical. YES. I BOUGHT THE TV DUE TO THE PRICE WITHOUT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. I went in to preview computers. I was considering a Black Friday purchase. Several associates assisted me and gave me info regarding my interests of purchasing a pc or laptop. All gave me input but non made me feel pressured to purchase. I did not want to deal with the Black Friday crowds. When I finally narrowed down my choices, the young man helping me at that time said he could price match for me. He went online, found the laptop for a cheaper price through another retailer, offerred the item to me at the competition's price and I decided to take it.
