This review is about the online ordering system not necessarily about the Samford store. I wanted to write the review to let people know not to trust the online ordering system if you are using their credit card to purchase anything with the 0% financing option. I purchased a fridge in April 2025 and selected the option to finance for 18 months at no interest. I went on with my life making payments each month assuming there was 0% interest. To my surprise when i looked at the statement this month (I dont usually look at statements) they had been charging me interest the whole time. The promotion was never implemented. So far they have charged me over $500 in interest. When i called them today to question this their answer was that thye could not do anything and that it was my fault for not looking at the statement. I was disappointed because there was not even an apology by the account manager I spoke to. He even said that they would not even fix the issue going forward that they will continue charging interest. Disappointed to say that i will never go to best buy ever again after they robbed me of over $500. Will pay up the card, cancel and buy from other stores or online moving forward. read more

I have been a loyal Best Buy customer for many years, which is why I feel especially disappointed writing this message. I recently ordered a pair of AirPods Pro that were listed as open-box in excellent condition. These were intended to be a birthday gift for my wife, so I was expecting them to arrive in near-new condition. Unfortunately, when the package arrived, the box was torn apart and the AirPods were laying loose in the bottom of the shipping box. It was extremely disappointing to open a package meant to be a birthday gift and find it in that condition. I contacted customer service and was instructed to take them to the nearest Best Buy store. When I arrived, the store initially offered to replace them with an open-box pair in good condition, which was not equivalent to what I had purchased. After explaining the situation, I ultimately had to make another trip to the store and purchase a brand new pair instead. In total, this situation required multiple calls and two separate trips to the store, all because the item I received did not match the condition it was advertised in. I asked if any type of accommodation or compensation could be offered for the inconvenience, but I was told that nothing could be done. I have supported Best Buy for many years and have always trusted the quality and service your company provides. Because of that, this experience was very disappointing, especially considering that this purchase was meant to be a special birthday gift for my wife. I purchased a 65 inch TCL Smart TV. from Best Buy in Sanford . The geek squad came out to install which I paid $179. There was supposed to be another attachment kit box to hide the wires on the TV . The associate who helped me did not inform me of this piece of equipment I would need and because of that I would need to pay another $70 for the geek squad to install it. I spoke with Best Buy corporate and they would not help me ! I feel I should not pay as their sales department were not accurate informing me of parts I would need to complete the installation. I have worked with companies that after installation you would be called to see if you were satisfied and to make sure that the customer is happy ! I haven't been to Best Buy in a while. I pre ordered a Nintendo switch fit ring. It was $20 cheaper at Best Buy than anywhere else. The item was ready when I arrived for pickup. I decided to go inside. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The staff member who helped with check out was even able to share a bit about her experience with the ring fit. Came in to look at prices on 85" televisions, I wish I could remember the guy's name who helped us, He spend about 45 minutes with us and he was so knowledgeable and friendly! I do have his name written down on a slip of paper in my purse, but I'm way to lazy to get up and get it at the moment. LOL I was surprised to find this Best Buy has not been updated yet with the lower shelving so you can see throughout the store. I'm sure they'll probably get around to it eventually. It did make it a little more difficult to maneuver around in a wheelchair, but it wasn't impossible and we managed just fine. I didn't just spend 2k to have to give it up already . Then they told me they didn't have anymore out of box laptops so I'd have to cover the difference of the laptop. Which whatever. But best buy needs to do better and stop hiring Geek Squad employees that aren't doing good run downs on these computers . This is my go-to Best Buy since it is the closest one in the area for me. I have purchased many items here over the past several years and thankfully have never encountered issues with my purchases. One of my favorite things about this store is they will price match with Amazon. Many times I actually get better deals at Best Buy anyways. Additionally, if you purchase something from Best buy you can just take it back to the store. With Amazon, you have to send it back in then deal with all that hoopla from the third party seller if it's not an Amazon backed product. For example I just purchased a new modem / router to replace my spectrum provided one. I saved $20 by purchasing the router at Best Buy verses using Amazon. Then for $25 more I added the two year extended warranty on the Router through Best Buy. If something happens to the router I can just bring it back to Best Buy and they will replace it with a new one. Although Amazon does have great deals, the customer is responsible for the legwork required when repair/replacement becomes necessary with the third party warranty company. Note: The customer service at this store can be and mixed bag. At times I have had great customer service and other times I have been completely ignored or was treated in a rude manor (on more than one occasion). Even if you do not purchase anything from Best Buy. Know that, Best Buy carries the newest digital technology available for purchase. If you're thinking about purchasing a new laptop, cell phone, smart watch, TV, stereo system or any other digital equipment/accessories, this is the place to go. Many of these items are on display so that the customer can try them before they buy them. This is a great way to test a product before moving forward with that big purchase. read more

Got a Christmas gift of 2 security cameras. Took them back to exchange for a ring dootbell and a solar camera. Had the original sales slip.You would think that it would be a simple exchange. Unfortunately, it does take some intelligence of the clerk to accomplish the transaction. The installation fee for the 2 cameras was paid at the time of purchase. Since they were returned there was no installation. Since it isn't a physical item, the clerk didn't apply a credit. The solar camera was not in stock but would be delivered the next day. That didn't happen. Made several appointments for installation, but at the last minute the camera still hadn't come in and appointment was cancelled. Three weeks later, went to the store and talked to a manager. Cancelled the camera and the ring door bell, got a credit for the installation fee that was charged for the first 2 cameras. I have bought all my electronics from this Best Buy in Sanford for many years and have been happy with their service. Until recently. I returned a printer that I had purchased a 4 yr Geek Squad warranty on. It had one more year left on the warranty. The service tech was very nice and helpful and gave me a new printer(exact same model) and renewed my 4 yr warranty for $20. He said since the printer was on sale, so was the warranty, so instead of $40 for 4 yrs, it was $20, which I happily paid. When I got home and filed the receipt, I noticed I was billed $43 for the warranty. I went back in person, talked to the manager, and he said he couldn't give me the discounted warranty because the computer would not accept it because it was in exchange for my old printer. He said I could get a refund for my old one, then "buy" the new one on sale and get the deal on the warranty. This was so stupid! Just semantics! He could have easily saved me the trouble and gave me the discounted warranty on the exact same printer, but no. Sam's or Walmart would never have questioned this nonsense! Also, after walking around for a good 30 minutes, there wasn't anyone on the floor to help. I came to this location because it is close to my job and I was looking for a camera. I knew exactly what I needed but I didn't know where to look since there weren't any signs anywhere in the store. I am giving it a 2 stars only because I can't give them 1.5 stars. After walking around for quite some time a sales associate finally approached me and directed me to the cameras section. I found what I wanted, bought it and left. We came to this store to purchase Beats for my son. I see a bunch of blue shirts walking around. Some are helping customers. I go to the front of the store to ask a guy if there's someone that can open the locked case where the beats are at. While my husband is at one register, I go to another register where a worker is helping a customer. The worker calls someone for help. This team is in dire need of customer service training. It seemed like nobody cares about customers and they were unwilling to help or do any work for people who give them business. I brought in a pair of AirPod Pros to be replaced/repaired. I was immediately met by a geek squad member that seemed bothered that I was there. I explained the situation with my air pods, they checked the serial number and told me I was out of the warranty period. No further investigation. I then went back to my car, and before leaving, double checked my order, my order confirmed that my purchase date was still less than a year ago. I went back inside and met the same geek squad member, I told them I found the order receipt and could prove it was less than a year. They then accused me of going home and swapping out my air pods for another set. Really??? I then had to explain that I had just been outside looking up the order. I explained that I have the confirmation and proof of purchase date and they said they couldn't do anything because they couldn't match the serial number on my air pods to my order. This employee either needs more training or had no desire to help. I checked my order and saw the serial number listed right there on the same page. They then read the serial number, saw the purchase date on my receipt and said there was nothing they could do. What a monumental waste of my time! Why buy anything from Best Buy if I can just go straight to the manufacturer? Especially if the manufacturers customer service is so much more helpful. read more

What a wonderful way to ruin a kid's birthday! Do you like expensive items that don't work and take forever to get shipped? Then Best Buy is for you! I ordered an expensive gaming computer for my son, to be delivered to this location. After several delays, it finally arrived today, thank god because my son's birthday is tomorrow. I gave it to him early and he was absolutely thrilled. Right up into he put it together, plugged it in and it didn't work. My son asked for one thing for his birthday. One single thing. So you can imagine how disappointed he was when the gaming computer I bought for him turned out to be a $900 paperweight. We called their "expert" support service who asked us high tech questions like "is it plugged in and connected to a power source?" before suggesting that we pack it up, ship it back and wait up to 14 business days to get it back. As that point, my son burst into tears and I asked to speak to a manager. Ok, I may have yelled it. The manager promptly let me know - about 100 times - that her computer was super slow and she couldn't find my order. (She must have gotten her computer at Best Buy). After awhile of this, she finally located it and let me know that I could go to the store we picked it up at to get a replacement. Problem is, the store doesn't carry this system. They don't have anyone on staff who can fix a broken system, nor do they have any comparable systems in stock. I don't actually think they have anything in stock at all. Just a bunch of display computers and people who can offer to ship things to your house. Yeah, no thanks. I know the internet exists and am very familiar with online ordering. What I needed was a working computer to be here BEFORE my kid's birthday. Instead, I got a POS and a tearful teen who now has NO presents for his birthday. Later, when he finally comes out of his room after being miserable and trying to hide the fact that he's been crying, I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to give him my credit card. I'm going to tell him that he can go online and order whatever he wants - with one caveat. He must promise that not only will he not order this item from Best Buy - he will never, in his entire life, order ANYTHING from Best Buy. He will raise his children to never order anything from Best Buy, and his children's children and so on. We will create a legacy of Best Buy haters. So, if you hate your kid and want to ruin his birthday, I suggest buying all your items at Best Buy and trying to pick up replacements at this store. Trust me, it will make him miserable! But if you like your kid and want him to have a happy birthday, I strongly recommend literally any other place in the world - even if you have to make a computer out of parts you found at the dump. We went to the Altamonte store, and the salesman, E_____, was very snarky, and said the only computer he had wasn't on display, and we better hurry, or it is gone, and then he walked off! ........so we walked off, and went to the Rhinehart store!!!!
