I wanted to purchase an IPad for my grandmother and noticed it was cheaper at Costco but I wanted to purchase it from best buy as I was using a gift card. I looked up the price match policy and noticed that they match Costco. I went to the store - I had to wait over 20 minutes after signing in before an associate was able to assist me (issue number 1) on an item that I already knew what I wanted. Once I made it to the register, I advised the associate that I would like to price match from $299 to $279 with Costco. I showed him the price on Costco and my membership card. He went to get a manager to override the price but was told that you didnt price match since its a membership club. I advised that its on the website that you match with BJs, Costco and Sams Club with are all membership clubs. Once the manager comes over to assist, I am then told that in the state of TN they dont price match Costco. The website is for California residents only. I asked where was that on the website as normally a disclosure it given. She advised that that's what they are told to tell customers. I then asked for the 888 number. I called and spoke with a gentleman that told me that they did price match Costco and he will send me a link to order from and pick up in store. He was getting approval from his manager but then was told that he couldn't send me the link because Costco wasnt showing the IPad delivery option available - that was weird because it showed available in stock and the rep that I was speaking with also saw it available. I was then transferred to another department where the lady was rude and told me that in TN or MS they not price match and hung up the phone before I could ask any questions. I am very disappointed in Best Buy and their policy along with the rudeness from multiple reps. Safe to say I purchased the IPad from Costco without any issues. read more

Went in yesterday to buy a TV, but I wasn't sure what I wanted. I ended up having to Google TVs and take pics of the TVs and use Google to find prices since they weren't listed and not one person spoke to me or asked if I needed help. I was in there for over an hour. Even when I chose my TV- 50 inches- I'm 5'2 and petite- I literally walked past people who worked there talking to each other and eating and they didn't offer to help while I had to stop several times to rest my arms. I checked out and they couldn't locate me in the system even though I was able to log in on the app. I got home and upon unboxing, noticed a large scratch. I immediately called but only got to talk to corporate people because apparently there is no direct store line. I took it back today and was going to just swap it out. The girl at the register was legit annoyed to be bothered- looked at the tv and me and said, "what am I doing with this?" I explained and she proceeded to examine it and plug it in and then called for someone to bring me a new one to the front. I waited about 10-15 min and watched again as people who worked there were just chatting and hanging out but nobody brought my TV up. I got back in line and when I reached her again she said she would go get it and I told her I'm good with a refund. I have no idea what's up with Best Buy. This used to be the gold standard for electronics. I had a similar experience at the beginning of the year when I needed a new MacBook and again, nobody acknowledged me. I went and bought it from Apple instead - with zero issues and excellent service. I think I'm done with Best Buy. I honestly wonder how long they can stay open with such awful experiences and apathetic staff. I'll get a better TV at Costco and I bet they help me carry it. read more

We went here for tax free weekend and surprisingly it wasn't really crowded. In order to be given individual attention, we were entered into a queue. It didn't take long to be waited on. The employees are helpful, and there is a wide selection of electronics and even appliances. Best Buy is going to cost a pretty penny, but a lot depends on what you're looking to buy and spend, and I feel like the employees are willing to work with you on price. read more

I finally had to interrupt him; got back to my car (maybe ten mins later?) and someone had gone through my car (at the very front) and stolen a bunch of stuff. When the store was contacted I was told my address did not exist and they could not deliver the computer. There was nothing they could do. I would have to return to the store and repurchase the computer but there was no guarantee it would be delivered and no way to pick it up. read more

purchased 2 tvs from this store with 2 hdmi cables online and realized I did not need the cables when I got home. Return policy was not given online. Today 2 weeks and 2 days past the return policy I tried to return those items for my money back unopened. They would only allow a store credit. Even corporate could not override. Although web site says it's at their discretion. I have purchased laptops computers tvs from Best Buy but I will never spend another cent in this store or any other Best Buy as long as I live. Made an appointment to have battery replaced. Made appointment more than a week out. Best Buy called to confirm appointment the day before while I was on hold to confirm same appointment. Show up 30 minutes early. Check in with geek squad. Geek member argues with me about model of iPhone I have. (Red flag #1). Finally agrees it is the model I say it is. Hands me paperwork to fill out while he checks to see if they have the battery. Are you kidding me...I drive 190 miles round-trip for a confirmed appointment and you are not sure you have the battery? (Red flag #2). After lengthy delay in back, returns to say they have the battery but nobody to install it. Come back tomorrow (Red flag #3). No apology, nothing. A "we screwed you. Oh well. Return tomorrow." What kind of bush league operation has Best Buy's Geek Squad become. Total incompetence in their scheduling and overall customer service. Apparently, Best Buy doesn't understand the meaning of appointment confirmation. Would probably help if they had adults working there. Would have understood had they called/texted/emailed me the morning of to let me know. Nada, nothing, zippo, crickets. Myself and daughter entered the store to purchase some PC items and was looking at some televisions. Only one person acknowledged us, I then asked the guy about a product I was looking for. After retrieving the items I went to check and saw some televisions on sale. Someone finally decided to show up after we had stood there for five minutes. I told the guy that I'd be back to purchase the television. As myself and daughter were we were stopped and asked for our receipt, although the bag is clear. Just as he stopped me he didn't ask.the white lady and her son to stop so he could check theirs. Just so you'd know management I didn't come back to purchase that television. Worst service ever. Order new gas stove on April 7th with delivery date of the 19th, then got moved to the 25th. Called the service dept to check on delivery. told that they rec'd stove the day before so i could pick it up that evening. I paid someone to help me pick it up, got to the store and told they didn't have it yet, Claimed that they had not gotten in any deliveries. Called the service dept. again told that they put in request to resend it but she didn't know why, apparently something wrong with it........., funny how they had it the next day though. On April 11, I order washer and dryer to be delivered on April 29th. On the 29th rec'd phone call from driver, said he was on the way to my house be there in twenty minutes, 2 hours later no delivery, Called dispatch, they didn't know why they weren't there, but assured me they would be by 4, Well 4:30 no truck. Called again, Now I'm told the have to reschedule delivery, she doesn't know why. I push and she found out that their truck broke down, maybe yes maybe no. But know one could call to tell me, Now they say I have to wait 2 more weeks for delivery, best they can do is give me compensation with a BestBuy gift card, So compensation that I have to by from them. read more

Placed a curbside order & they never came out. Luckily they were allowing people to go in again, (due to covid they were ONLY doing curbside for the longest) BUT they didn't have my order ready!! I'm rating 3 stars instead of 2 because they lady who actually did help me & got my product was super nice. read more

As usual this store doesn't have what I need. To make things worse the staff almosy seems to enjoy the fact that yhey don't have what you want. It is sickening. I guess I will try somewhere else. Unless you like to be frustrated I would recommend avoiding this company. read more

Greeted at the door that's a real plus this location is excellent Poplar @ Ridgeway right off of i-240 expressway. being the newest Best Buy store it is excellent. You can have everything you need in stock some wonder why we even have brick and mortar stores in this age of the Internet. the computer staff the salesman was very helpful and knowledgeable. Advised on what was coming to attribute and this after the use of the machines we were looking at. In the end a good purchase with a new desktop PC on sale, that's a great value. read more

The third star is solely for the member of the Geek Squad that helped us -- without him, this would be a solid 1.5 stars. I was interested in exchanging my FM radio iPod hookup for a stereo-installed hookup, and fortunately I stumbled upon a Geek Squad guy by the customer service counter. He quickly helped me locate the correct kit for my car, assured me that he could start the included installation immediately (since I didn't want to come back later -- he seemed kind of desperate for something to do, actually) and escorted me up to the returns desk to get the transaction completed. Which is where he had to repeatedly direct and assist the clerk in properly ringing up my exchange...wow. He then directed me on where to pull my car into the service bay, said it would be about an hour, and got started. We went to Chipotle for lunch and walked back over about 45 minutes later as he was finishing the installation. And it sounds great! The quality is excellent, the controls on the steering wheel work, and he somehow ran the cord under the console so it's hardly visible. So while I give major, major kudos to Geek Squad for being on top of their game, not so much for the other Best Buy employees. Maybe that's why I almost never shop here. read more

Ordered online, said it would be ready for pickup that day. 9 hours goes by and haven't heard anything. Tried calling and they would not answer the phone. Went to the store since they closed in an hour and the associate told me they sold my order to another customer even though I already payed for it. No issue, asked if there was another store that had it. They said no. I called the South Haven store and they did in fact have it. Drove out to Mississippi and they took care of me. Very annoying they couldn't be bothered to tell me they sold my order, wasted a lot of my time when I could have simply went to another store. Terrible service. read more

1 star for unprofessional staff. I recently went to this location to upgrade my cell phone. While the salesman was nice and knew his stuff, the mobile phone service area where he sent me for the next step was intolerable. They were loud and obnoxious and not attentive to customers. The guy asking me questions was pretty much whispering to me and I kept having to ask him to repeat himself. There was a group of about 3 of them sitting around behind the counter singing and yelling back and forth to one another. I told them to "cancel". I walked out and went to a different less-ghetto business to get my new phone. read more

While my experience purchasing a tv was good this is in reference to the recycling program. I bought a new tv at this location yesterday and was told recycling on my old one could be done there for free. I showed up today with the old tv and was told it was now $25. I told the customer service representative that I was told yesterday it was free, but she didn't seem to care much. I can understand if you charge someone off the street who didn't purchase anything, or at least were better at informing your sales associates in the tv department about the change. A manager should have been informed when I told customer service what was told to me at the point of sale. Shame on you Best Buy. read more

Coming in the the store , know I was making a purchase, I walked around for about 20 minutes without being acknowledged. After making my final decision I asked a group of 4 employees could I get help. I wanted 2 open boxed t.v.s. It took another 45 minutes for them to wrap them. Now that we live in a world of online ordering and next-day delivery, who needs to go into a physical Best Buy location anymore? Well, I did! There is something to be said about going into a store and actually looking at the actual product you want to buy. first, a few months ago, I needed a new printer. I went to Best Buy and they had a great selection. Someone was there to greet me in the printer section and help me select the right printer for my needs. I drilled them with about a hundred questions and they were super nice about it. Then a few weeks later, my modem broke and of course, I had to finish up some work and get it sent out THAT DAY. Best Buy had a good selection and the person was somewhat helpful. Then my sound bar died...so you can see where this is going. After not stepping into a Best Buy for years, I found myself being a regular customer. Not only is their online website great for checking inventory in-store, but if you find the same item for cheaper somewhere else, they will price match it! When they are not busy, they have great customer service at this location. Always willing to help you select the right item so you walk out the door as a happy customer. I've only had a few encounters where the person wasn't 100% knowledgeable about the products in their department, or they were too busy that I couldn't get anyone to help me. Overall, this Best Buy location has a nice selection with good employees who are willing to help. Always clean and organized, too! read more

1 star only. Waited 40 minutes for a little help to buy a tv. The sales man looked at me as he finished with another customer and said he would be right with me. He walked away and 10 minutes later was helping someone else at computer counter. I said to the greeter on my way out I had waited for 40 minutes with no help and he said - yeah everyone is busy. Completely unconcerned. There were literally 3 potential customers in the tv area; minimal traffic elsewhere. I was the only customer in TV when I left. What a lonely, long waste of time. read more

We were there for 3 hours and asked every question imaginable about each computer and he never seemed to mind. He was always quick to give an answer or find out an answer for us if he didn't already know. If I could give a ZERO review, I would. Best Buy customer service really, really sucks. I have been waiting for my Christmas gift ( 50 inch tv) to be delivered since December 18, 2021. The TV was delivered, I was told, but to the wrong address. I have no idea how this happened since we went inside the store placed the order and told the sales clerk where to deliver the item. I spoke with customer service at Best Buy on December 18th and was told I would have to go and get the TV from these people that received my TV. I told the person at customer service that I didn't know the people at the address and that I didn't feel comfortable going there and asking them for the TV. It wasn't my mistake, it was Best Buy's mistake. My name was clearly on the package so why would you "GIVE THE PACKAGE TO A MAN THAT ANSWERED THE DOOR". DOESN'T BUY BUY ASK FIR IDENTIFICATION. I just don't understand it. But anyway after speaking with them without reaching an acceptable solution, I called Memphis police and asked them to meet me at the address that my item was delivered to. Kudos to Memphis police because when I got to the address they were already there waiting for me. The policemen were extremely courteous and while they went to the door to inquire about the TV I stayed in my vehicle. No one answered but a car arrived and I guess it was the person who lived at the address. One of the policeman asked the man who got out of the car about the TV and this man told the policemen that whoever delivered the TV came back in a yellow truck and got the TV back. So I've been going back and forth with Best Buy to either get another TV delivered to my correct address or get my money back. Today is December 27th and I still don't have my TV or my money. I feel as if Best Buy has ROBBED me of my hard earned money. IT IS NOT MY FAULT THAT BEST BEST DELIVERY PEOPLE GAVE MY TV AWAY TO SOMEONE I DON'T EVEN KNOW. IT'S THEIR MISTAKE AND THEY NEED TO CORRECT IT. I SHOULDN'T BE PUNISHED FOR BEST BUY'S MISTAKE!!! read more
