We recently moved and we needed our 75 inch TV placed on the wall. In our previous house I did it, but man that thing is heavy. I went to Best Buy last week ordered and paid for the bracket & service. My service was scheduled between 10:30 AM and 2:30 pm. I received a call. The technician called before 10 said they were on the way. They arrived mounted my TV, cleaned up and left all before 10:30. The two-man team was very professional. Very pleased with the service. If I had it to do over. I would tell them NOT to scan for channels. Our TV already had the local channels stored. When they scanned, it lost all but a channel we seldom watch. So far I haven't been able to get them ( channels ) back. read more

They've been a crap store to buy from for years; even when there was Circuit City around the corner being vastly superior to them. And Circuit City was a shithole. Now, it's worse. Go to the PC section looking for a component. Get ignored by three people, and fobbed off to another department where three more people could stand around and not do their jobs. This was middle of the day on a Thursday; not a big business hour. Still didn't get my component; I got tired of trying to find one person who actually worked there and not just wears Best Buy polos. If you want over priced factory seconds, rude treatment, and spending 20 minutes for something that would have taken 1 at a competently run place, go to Best Buy. Otherwise, go elsewhere. Five start review for Riley in electronics! I gave my sister (who is NOT tech savvy) a jitterbug phone for Christmas and she could never get it to work properly. I finally convinced her to take it back to Best Buy and ask them to help. Today she finally did and Riley called me (in Nashville) to get some information about the purchase of the phone, etc. He was very patient, kind and a great problem solver. After a few phone calls and discussions, he discovered the problem with the phone (sister has accidentally turned it on airplane mode!) and he fixed it quickly and easily with good humor. Super nice people, but expectations fall short - with the TOTAL package. Bought a great TV, an awesome sound system, and even the TOTAL plan that gives you all the bells and whistles. A week later, the Geek Squad showed up and put it all together. Super happy! Five days later, Black Friday is just days away, and all the prices drop... but not to worry, I have the TOTAL package with a Price Match Guarantee (PMG). With all their fabulous skills, refunding almost $500 in PMG isn't one them. We bought at Best Buy because of their technical skills...and that they have. But we don't recommend having to spend $179 on the TOTAL package, for superior customer service...shouldn't that be free? We'll be asking for a refund on the TOTAL 'we don't much care after the sale' plan. read more

It seems lately that they don't have one single thing I'm looking for or that the help is not knowledgable. I'm dumb with computer stuff. We are about to upgrade out Dish recorder box and need to back it up to install our recordings on the new Dish box. They actually sold me an internal hard drive for a computer. When I returned it, they didn't have one single hard drive in the store that would do it. They were helpful ordering one for me. I need a new battery phone case for my iPhone 6S. Guess what? They don't sell any cases at all for the iPhone 6S. Not a single one in the whole store. I did buy a Canon camcorder here. I asked them if I can hook it up to a DVD recorder. Nobody knew. I called Canon tech support from the store and they told me what I'd need. The guys at Best Buy said they don't sell the cable and that they would not sell the cable I need. They ever refused to try to order it. I bought the camera, but thinking back I shouldn't have. Now I'm on my own to find the cable I need. My surveillance system died and I need a new recorder. I don't need all the cameras. Guess what? They don't sell the recorders. They only sell complete systems. I don't need the complete system. It's getting ridiculous up in here. read more

I give this location five stars simply for being great at seeing if I needed any help- there were more than enough staff on the floor available to help if I needed it- I was greeted and asked if I needed help with at least 5 team members in different areas of the store- by computers then TVs then by phones Staff made sure to provide assistance if need be and that's great cause technology and gadgets can be tricky- I do like that they price match as long as you provide proof of the product where the pricing is listed in a competitive store Product was visible and priced where you can see- merchandise was certainly available During this visit I did have my little one with me so I did have to go to utilize the ladies room and there was a baby changing table located inside the ladies restroom I'd say to management great job training with your staff cause they are on it!! I am not a Techie. So when I enter the door of Best Buy, I hang a right & head to the Customer Service Line. The CSRs are always patient & informative. Tonight Connie even went online to find the old replacement item the store no longer carried. & Then she took me to Cristen for help with a Wireless Printer. Cristen explained the differences in the various products, & I made a decision in a few minutes. Super under staffed. Went in to buy a laptop and left with nothing since no one ever showed up to help me. I waited about 30 minutes.

I went here yesterday to buy a laptop and there were a million customers in the store. As ALWAYS it's impossible to find an employee to help you. There was a long line of people waiting for help at the laptop area and I went over to speak to the general help desk at the front of the store because there were no customers waiting there. "Hey, can I ask you a question?" I ask the woman at the desk. She didn't acknowledge me with words but instead raised her eyebrows at me and shrugged. I walk over and ask her if there isn't a box under a display laptop if that means there isnt one in the store. "Could it mean there's one in the back?" I ask. She goes, "yeah maybe ask the computer area." So I walk back over and get in line. When it's finally my turn I repeat what I asked the woman at the front desk. The employee sighs loudly and says "ok wait a minute." And goes and starts talking to the customers BEHIND me in line.... Once she finally comes back to me... (wtf?) she says she can look it up after she finds a monitor for the customer who was behind me. "Um.. okay." Once she has spent 20 min with the person behind me, she starts venting loudly to her coworker not 4 feet away from me, "IM SO TIRED OF THIS SHIT. I HAVE TO GO FIND THIS GIRL A FUCKING COMPUTER CUZ THE HELP DESK WOULDN'T DO IT LIKE WHY CANT THEY JUST DO IT!? ThEY ARENT DOING ANYTHING. Im losing my MIND. I DONT WANNA DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE." And walks off in a huff... Her coworker comes over and asks how she can help me... I repeat what I told her coworker previously. It takes her less than 2 min to look it up and tell me they're out of stock - so why did she help the customer behind me first? Finally Im getting ready to spend over $500 on a laptop. Im buying a $99 warranty AND a one year office plan for $49.99. The woman says it HAS to be recurring. I can't just buy ONE year. I ask how I can cancel the renewing billing, she says "JUST GO TO MICROSOFT . COM and cancel it." "Okay, am I going to make a Microsoft account today? Is that why I just gave you all my personal information? To make an account? Then I'll go log in and cancel it that way?" "No, that information was for the renewing billing." "Okay... well if I don't have an account to log into, how am I supposed to cancel a payment? Are you going to give me some sort of code to redeem online?" "No you just go on Microsoft and cancel it." So I just say "okay fine whatever." I'm thinking "I'll just figure this out myself because she obviously doesn't know what she's doing - maybe her coworker does but she left in a cursing huff" Two seconds later the lady hands me a card... with a code to redeem the Microsoft account on the back of it. You've got to be kidding me. I JUST asked if I'd get a code and she said no. Whatever I'm leaving the store now its over. "Show this to the yellow guy at the exit." "Okay." I get up to the "yellow guy" and hand him my receipt and hold up the box. He never says a single word but basically yanks the box out of my hands to examine it like its contraband instead of saying, "can I see the box ma'am?" Once he's done spending 3 minutes to check ONE box and ONE receipt he motions to the exit. THIS is why I dont ever go to Best Buy. Worse customer service than McDonalds... read more

I purchased a GE washing machine on December 15; which was in stock. I paid for delivery, new hoses, installation and haul away. But, I STILL don't have delivery. I was first given a delivery date of Dec 21 - then Dec 24 - then I'm told my machine will be delivered Dec 28, but not installed until Dec 29. After NUMEROUS calls to the store and their service center I have no idea when I'll get my machine. Meanwhile, I'm forced to go to a laundry facility (yuck) and ask family to let me use their machines for three weeks! Plus, all the time I've missed from work for these delivery appointments with a delivery window of noon - 8:00 p.m.; which is insane!! Obviously, I am not at all happy with this and when I need an appliance I'll shop elsewhere. read more

By far the worst Best Buy. Usually when you go into Best Buy, there are people waiting to assist you, at least one per department. When you come here, they are completely unstaffed, and the staff that they do have is incompetent, unprofessional, and do not even try to assist you. You can literally do a full loop around the entire store, and you won't find a single employee to help you. Also, online orders take extremely too long to be ready for pickup. Not a single soul ever answers the phones (not even sure if they have the ringers on at this point) and the ladies at the customer service desk always seem uninterested in your concerns and just want to get you out of their face. It's the closest store to my location, so unfortunately I have to keep coming back. But if you have another closer option.. use it. (I do understand that COVID has changed a lot, but stores should adapt in a positive way, not in a way that hinders performance and customer satisfaction. Have more people in the stores to help customers, then they'll leave quicker.... More employees to bring out curbside orders... then we can leave quicker.. cutting down exposure and large numbers.. Sorry, but the service here can be very poor. Nobody here seems in a rush to do anything, On our last visit, we stood in line at customer service for about 20 mins and nobody even said hello, I'll help you soon, or anything. People kept walking in and out of the back room and saw us standing there, you'd think they would have asked if we needed help or something. I had to flag someone down that came out to ask if he could help us. When we purchased a few laptops a few weeks ago, we had to wait in a long line. The time before that, there was a laptop case on the rack for a certain price. When I took it up to the register, it was totally a different (much higher) price. I had to spend the next 15 mins walking the cashier back there, showing him exactly where I got the case, waiting for the manager, the manager finally coming and saying 'hmm...looks like all of these are on the wrong place', then shrugging his shoulders. How's that for service? Getting out of the lot to the highway can be problematic, especially if you or anyone in front of you is turning left. read more

I can honestly say that the staff in this store really don't give a damn about anything. When I came in to return an item that I bought at the store near my office in Atlanta that just didn't perform for what I paid for it, the gentleman at the front door looked at me like I had grown a third eye. Asking me a million questions, why I didn't have a bag, where was the receipt (i had stuck it in the box so I wouldn't lose it), and why I was returning it. Not really his job, but I finally got my little sitcker and proceeded to the service counter. The girl there was friendly, I explained the situation, and since I paid with my debit card, she gave me cash back. This I didn't like... I put it on the card, I expect it to be put back that way. Now I have $70 in cash in my pocket that I have to go find an ATM to deposit it back into since I hate carrying cash. I know it's policy, but that does need to change. When I completed the return, I decided to go nosing around just to kill some time. Not a single person stopped to ask me if I was ok, or needed any assistance. This is the typical behavior at this store. Either they pester the snot out of you, or you don't exist, no middle ground. I went to ask someone a question in the car audio department, and boy was that a mistake... I was greeted by the most foul looking (and smelling) ghetto employee there. Why was I not surprised? And did he answer my question, of course not. He didn't even bother to look up the item I was inquiring about on the computer, he just kept talking on his cellphone.... read more

I had an appointment to get my new radio put in my car and it said the appointment was at 8:30-10:15 but when i got to Best Buy they weren't open and didn't answer the phones. so at 10 when they opened i went inside and asked and they told me where to go and the guy at the geek squad was very rude. They do not have good directions on where to go to get something installed and have poor communication. I do not recommend working with this Best Buy location. read more

My experience with curbside pick up for this store was terrible! This store was ill prepared to manage the holiday rush. After waiting in our car for over 45 minutes, my husband waited in the long COVID line and went inside the store to inquire about the wait time and was rudely brushed off by several employees. Finally an associate told him it could be up to 3 hours, he didn't know or seem to care! Now who in their right mind would wait 3 hours or more for their purchase?? Had their online instructions indicated longer than one hour-I wouldn't have made the purchase. OK my review is just a little over the top but I'm going all out because Mike came to the rescue when there was a problem with scheduling and I must say I am very satisfied with the quality of work. Now about that scheduling problem. I bought a pioneer head unit and a backup camera. I scheduled an install. The system booked me for the head unit but not for the camera install. Perhaps some code rewrite would help to assure that the customer is aware of added booking. In the future I will be more diligent. Anyhow I like Best Buy read more

Best Buy Wolfchase in Memphis is not concerned with customer service or honoring the extended warranty they sell to their customers. Without going into to much detail here are the fact. I bought a computer for 1500.00 and a 300.00 extended warranty to cover any accidents such as a cracked display for three years. Four months later I went to get the laptop repaired under warranty and was told that the item had already been exchanged. The item I had in my hand....with the box that had matching serial numbers..... that had a Best Buy sticker on it with the date of purchase on it. They simply refused to honor it. Today's visit was to get rid of an old tv. Best Buy offers a recycling program for old electronics, yay Best Buy!! They do charge money for this, $25 in the case of my TV which is reasonable to me. Besides what else can you do with a 50" tv, trash company and county won't take it and how wants it in a land fill. Store looked clean but I all ready had the new tv so didn't shop. The supervisor that I dealt with was a complete jerk. No proper customer service skills or managerial skills whatsoever. And what's worse, he acted this way in front of other employees which I'm sure will encourage poor service for future customers. He wouldn't honor the discount that I requested that was well within the company-defined Price Match guarantee policy. Apparently he thought a $10 discount would cause him to lose his job. Newsflash: customers are the reason you have a job! If you'd rather lose over $50 worth of business, instead of taking a $10 hit then you don't understand math, money, or management. Best Buy has lost my business completely, and I will actively encourage others to go elsewhere also. Below is a snippet from the email that I sent to the General Manager Bethel Trammell and District Manager Kavin Johnson: On Sunday, April 23rd, at approximately 7:30 PM, I regrettably had a very poor experience with the on-duty supervisor. I was attempting to Price Match a Samsung Gear VR headset that I found on Amazon.com at a much lower price. Your shelf price is $99.99. The listing on Amazon is $52.27. When I spoke with the supervisor, he stated that he could only Price Match from Best Buy's company database of other retailers' prices. As such, the lowest price listed in the database that he could meet was $64. I pointed out to him that this practice of checking a database first is not mentioned anywhere on Best Buy's Price Match policy on the official website. In fact, the policy clearly states that the customer can bring in an advertisement or website address to get the Match. My matched item met all of the requirements of the Policy: new item, exact same model number, shipped and sold by Amazon, etc. The problem with the supervisor occurred when I pointed out that he was contradicting the official policy posted on Best Buy's site. Upon pointing out the facts of the situation, the supervisor continued to refuse. When I asked to speak with his manager, he indicated that he was the highest ranking employee at the time, and he directed me to contact you or corporate office. I stated that I was not satisfied with this answer and expressed that I couldn't understand why, as a manager/supervisor he was unable to simply change the price. He stated that he didn't want to lose his job, and asked me if I was going to make his house payments for him if he lost his job. I found this question, along with his careless attitude, to be completely rude and unwarranted. I told him that I fully intended to address this issue with the store manager, corporate office, and would be writing a poor review on public forums such as Google. I explained that he could avoid this hassle by cooperating with me. Surely he could give me the discounted price, and just explain the situation to his manager later. I don't see how a $10 difference is going to cost someone their job. If necessary the Price Match policy could be revised later to avoid further loss of revenue. I attempted to explain all of this to him. However, he continued to go back to his question, "Are you going to pay my house payments?!" Finally, he stated that Best Buy reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. I imagine he used this excuse to inticate that he was no longer concerned about keeping my business and wished for me to leave. This is bad customer service. Period. And having to endure it from the employee who is supposed to be in charge is completely unacceptable. read more

This store is a joke. I come in here fairly often because it's pretty much the only electronics option in the area. I am never ever greeted by anyone on the sales floor. I almost ran into an employee on this particular visit and he couldn't even be troubled to say excuse me, let alone stop and ask if I needed anything. That's just today's example. Any time I've needed assistance I've had to hunt down someone usually from the other side of the store. The return policy is ridiculous. I received a movie as a gift. The movie wasn't the right one and because it was a gift I did not have the receipt. The movie I had and the movie I wanted were both on the shelf and even marked the same price. But they couldn't get over the fact that I had no receipt. I was even told, "That's GameStop business." Apparently this type of transaction is beneath them. Any other retail store will give you store credit without a receipt. I didn't even want store credit. I just wanted the right movie! read more

I recently moved to Shelby county and had nothing but a wonderful experience. I've bought a GPS, cables, Chargers, and just yesterday a new 4K tv. I'm usually very picky on customer service but everyone from Asset Protection to the salesmen to the general manager, David, have been really nice and helpful. They are always attentive and try to give me the best deals. I even get high fives and handshakes from most of the staff. They have my business for sure. read more
