    J D Byrider - Nothing was attached!

So, apparently my car was in a collision and they forgot to inform me. My grill and dog light…read morepopped out of my car. That leads me to believe it wasn't even in a bracket or attached to anything. I'm so livid. I just want to give the car back. Now I see inside the car and see melting and other things cracked.

I was on Facebook marketplace and inquired about a 2016 Chevy Spark. I person listing to vehicle…read morewas not the one selling it. She claimed to be associated with the dealership (Byrider of Joplin) and was unable to answer any questions that I had for the vehicle. I should have known something was up since the advertisement said $299 down. I was required to provide the following information before a conversation would take place from Shara: Hello, We are off of E 20th St in Joplin. What you need to qualify is your 2 most recent pay stubs showing that you make a minimum of $1500 a month at your job, A piece of mail in your name within the last 30 days, and a valid driver license. If you have these things lets get you set up with an appointment. We are open M-F 9-7 and Sat 9-4. To get the process going quickly, I need your first and last name, email, and a working phone number. What day and time would be best for you to come in?... seems to me that I was getting pre-qualified just to get any information. My questions were: What is the price if this car? What is the mileage? Carfax? VIN?... even after a small back and forth, I still was unable to get the answers so I looked it up and this is what I found. Byrider on 20th street in Joplin has the vehicle. It is listed as a 2016 Chevy Spark Base on their website for just over $20,000. It has 57,500 miles on it. Ohh, by the way, they charge 21 % interest on the financing that they provide. When I looked the vehicle up online to determine the value, I used nada, edmonds to come up with the absolute best price for the top 2% of vehicle in our area. That price is $13,000 retail at a dealership. Furthermore, a large dealership here in our local area 2021 Spark with under 16,000 miles for $15,500 and nowhere near the same interest rate. To me, in my opinion, thus is the perfect example of predatory lending on people. I appreciate a deal making a profit and free enterprise however, this is simply wrong. Ohh... Shara, the one on Facebook marketplace, she blocked me for this statement: There is no need to become personal. If you don't have the answers for a customer (me), then why respond until you have them? However, thank you for, at the very least, providing me with the dealerships information. Based on the price of the vehicle versus the book value, it looks like predatory lending to me. Again... just my opinion about a business. All I can really say is this, be very carefully when you used a dealership like this. READ EVERYTHING, take the paperwork home and think, review, talk to someone else that you trust BEFORE you sign anything. If you think you have a good deal then by all means, enjoy, but I bet someone not involved with the deal will advise you to show somewhere else. I would suggest this to everyone... go to your bank, talk to a loan officer to determine what you can really afford and secure what you can actually do monthly BEFORE you show for a vehicle. That gives you purchase power to a degree but at least you know what you can do and still make it rather than struggle to the point that most deals at places like a buy here pay here end up hurting you and not the dealership.

I live 5 hours away from Frank Fletcher Subaru, but found my local Subaru dealer completely inept…read more I was able to work the deal 100% via txt and email with very little phone time. My salesperson Brady was absolutely awesome, professional and knowledgeable and so very helpful from first contact through delivery. The finance manager Zak was just as easy and delightful to work with. All dealership personnel knew I was traveling and I spent maybe 1-hour there signing final paperwork before I was on the road again heading back home. This vehicle is the sixth car that I have purchased from now three different Frank Fletcher dealerships and will continue to do so in the future.

Been to this dealership twice for service, both times were bad. First one was for a tire repair,…read morethey left me waiting for two hours. Second was for a recall part and tire rotation and oil change and radio upgrade, horrible. I got home to find my car had been damaged, a deep to the primer gouge in my back hatch and bumper. Looks like a cabinet had been rolled over and its door swung open into my car or perhaps a guy with tools up against my car. Fletcher is not taking any responsibility for this and basically telling me it did not happen in their shop. My husband followed me all the way to the shop on this visit and says there was no damage to back of my car prior to service. I also have never hit anything. We are probably looking at litigation over this since they are not accepting responsibility, I would run from this dealership.

DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS!!! UNSAFE VEHICLES!!! WARRANTY IS BS!!! THEY WILL DENY…read moreWARRANTY CLAIMS FOR THINGS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO BE COVERED!!! My wife and I purchased a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer from the Springfield Missouri lot. We have previously purchased a 2004 Oldsmobile Alero from the same lot and had a great experience with the service and kindness of the previous people who worked there. This time around not so much. They didn't even bother to clean or detail the vehicle. We were in need of a good vehicle and came back to the place we were treated great before but we were treated like dirt this time around and very rushed. The manager had to take the vehicle to get gas so we could test drive it and informed me that it was making a noise due to the tires being worn out and they were going to put new ones on. When I was checking the front end to see if it was due damage to the front end, since the front bumper had some damage, I saw that the front sway bar bracket on the passenger side was bent with no rubber bushing in it and the top bolt was broken off in the frame. The driver side bracket was loose with both bolts backed out about halfway from what I could see with about a quarter of an inch space between the bracket and the frame at both bolts. It looked like someone had started to put it together and forgot to finish it. I informed the manager at the time, before we even signed the paperwork about the issue and she said that they would take care of it too. I also informed her that the wrench light came on during the test drive, which I found out later is an issue in the drivetrain, and she said they will take care of it as well. Come to find out the tone ring on the cv axle that the speed sensor reads is cracked and broken and loose on the hub of the cv shaft. When I took it to get the new tires the person who they called to get the purchase order from threw a fit about the new tires but they were already done so they went ahead with it. While they were on the phone with the car lot they informed the car lot that the front sway bar issue was dangerous and needed to be taken care of. The tire shop could not get it in so they sent me to a place right around the corner from CarHop and they said they would not do it that it needed to be done at a frame shop since the bolt was broken off in the frame. At this point my wife who works in the Emergency Room of the hospital contracted Covid and we had to deal with her getting the covid pneumonia and recovering from it. Then as she was getting well enough to go back to work I got covid and the covid pneumonia and almost died from it and had to spend a week in the Covid ICU. I took about a month and a half to recover where I was able to get out again and do things. Since I live 40 miles or so away I could not go back and forth to try to find a shop in Springfield and I took it to several in my local area and they were either denied or they would not do it because it was either too hard to do or they would not do business with CarHop. The only one in the area who was willing to help us and deal with it was B.A.T. Boys in Branson. After several months and attempts to get it repaired and covered by CarHop as was the agreement now we have been denied over and over again for repairing an unsafe vehicle we were sold and lied to about by the manager and salesperson. I am retired and disabled, but I am also a trained mechanic both in automotive and diesel applications, and I plan to do the work myself at this point. I plan on contacting the Better Business Bureau and the CarHop Facebook page and any other sites I can to post the pictures of the unsafe vehicle that we were sold and let everyone know that they would be better off going to ANY other car lot and do business with them. You will not get any more business from me or my family after this piece of crap is paid off.
