I was on my way from Tulsa to Dixon, MO in a Kia Kona electric vehicle that was a rental. My husband and I tried several EV chargers around the Joplin area with no luck. They either weren't working or we did not have the right attachment. We pulled into the Hyundai dealership hopeful they could help. Immediately Joseph approached us and although he had not had experience with an electric vehicle, he helped us locate a charger at the store. We were able to get on the road quickly and felt comfortable at a safe place to charge and wait inside the air conditioned lounge with waters and snacks! Thank you Hyundai for helping us out! This place also helped me out when my Sonata had lost the water cap and was overheating on the highway. They replaced the cap free of charge and made me and my girlfriend feel safe and comfortable while waiting for the repair. I highly recommend purchasing a vehicle from this store. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience here. This all started because of a motor that Hyundai recalled -- yet I still had to pay out of pocket because it was not covered under warranty. What should have been a straightforward repair turned into a stressful and frustrating situation. After paying thousands of dollars for the work, my vehicle was returned with damage to the hood/body that was not present before service. Instead of taking responsibility, I dealt with delays, poor communication, and constant pushback while trying to get the issue addressed. I made multiple attempts to resolve things directly, including contacting corporate and filing with the Better Business Bureau, but getting clear answers or accountability was incredibly difficult. Paying for major repairs is bad enough -- having your vehicle returned in worse condition makes it unacceptable. If you value transparency, professionalism, and respect for your time and money, document everything and proceed with caution. I will be attaching photos of the before and after below. Please note that the before photos are literally taken by the shop before the service started, the after is the day after I got it back and saw it in the sunlight and they're denying that it happened in their care. read more

The service department is friendly, but poorly run and under-staffed. Took four trips, two appointments, and several hours of waiting to get a simple sensor changed. When trying to get the part we needed ordered, no one would return a call or email (10+ attempts). Then, when the sensor was actually ordered and changed, they broke something in the steering wheel, which rendered my car undriveable. Had to come back and get it the next day after they fixed what they broke. Very frustrating. read more

I was looking a vehicle and talking with the salesman. i noticed that the grill was scratched. The salesman said that they have ordered the grill and are waiting on it to arrive. I went ahead and purchased the vehicle and a few days later when I went in to pick up the paperwork I asked about the grill. They said they had canceled the order and that I would have to buy it myself. If you're going to say something is going to be replaced stand behind your word and do it, don't tell lies to customers. I will never buy another vehicle from them again and anyone that is looking for a vehicle I tell them don't bother with this place. read more

Worse customer service, called the dealership for information about gap insurance. Spoke with a finance person name Kevin, he is unprofessional and rude, he said through the phone he is busy with clients. Pretty much rushing me to hang up, Why pick up if you're busy? I recommend to look else where, cause you'll have to speak with him for your paper work. Save the time and go a different dealership, where they appreciate your time. read more

Do NOT recommend for service after the sale!! I have purchased my last two vehicles through Fletcher. They were both preowned and I had absolutely no issues with the sales teams from either location that I purchased from. The service department however is a whole different story. The only bright star from Fletcher service is Ryan at the Toyota location (and I'm not even sure that he is still there) and the young lady at the Hyundai location here in Joplin. I took my car in for two recalls. I called and made an appointment almost 2 weeks ahead of time and told them specifically what I was bringing it in for. I took the vehicle in at 8:30 a.m. that Friday morning. I arranged to spend the day in Joplin running around so they would have time to fix my car. By 12:30 I still hadn't heard anything so called trying to get info. I was told someone would call me back. I called again around 1:30 and was again told someone would call me back. By 3:00 I was getting antsy as I had an appointment at 4:00 in Carthage. I called back around 3:20 and was told that my car was torn apart, they didn't have the needed parts and they wouldn't be in until the following Wednesday. They also didn't have a vehicle to put me in soooo. The lady in the service department was nice but still couldn't help. I panicked. I called back and ended up speaking to the (I believe he was the assistant GM of sales) who was sorry for the situation and was more than glad to sell me a new car. He never bothered to call me back after he found out I couldn't afford another car. Maybe if I had been driving a newer/nicer vehicle I would have gotten somewhere. I'm driving a 10 year old beat up Hyundai (which has been a great car!). Most people don't have extra vehicles just sitting around. I sure don't. It was a holiday weekend we had plans but no car. I had to cancel all plans and arrange for a ride to work on Wed. Now I'm hoping my car will be ready today or I will be forced to take a vacation day for tomorrow as I have to travel a bit for work and arranging for that is a bit trickier. If this had been the first time I'd had issues with the service department I wouldn't be writing this but from a rude service manager on my first car needing service, to an ignition switch that could never be fixed, to the location that told me I would need new brakes but when I took it elsewhere they told me I had over 50% of my pads left, to now this, I won't be purchasing another vehicle from Fletcher motors at any location. Cars are expensive (some more than my house). They are an investment. I want to go somewhere that I know will help me care for that investment from the moment of purchase until the time comes to trade in again. Not a good experience to say the least. UPDATE #1-Just called the service department and shocker the parts aren't in as expected today. This means that I will either have to make arrangements with my job to not do the Joplin part of my duties or burn a vacation day. This just keeps getting better and better! :( Update #2. Tomorrow will be a week since I took my car in...For two recalls will a two week lead time...and no notification that they would be keeping my car especially this long. The experience I had in this purchase. In my 65 years, I have never had such an awesome experience at any automotive dealership as I had with Fletcher Hyundai in Joplin Missouri. First, Mr. Larry Keen called me Thursday, August 26, to set up an appointment. I told him I was looking to Special Order a 2022 Hyundai Sonata N-Line with certain options and color. He told me he would come in early or stay late for me since I was driving up from Cabot Arkansas, about a 4 1/2 hour drive. We set up the appointment at 11;30 a.m. Friday, August 27. I was then contacted by a salesman "The Mustard Seed Man". Both of these guys were so friendly and nice over the phone. Both offered to come in early or stay late for me. Friday, I arrived at the dealership at 11:30 a.m. and was greeted by Mr. Larry Keen and "The Mustard Seed Man". These guys were so friendly and nice in person. They made me feel like we were long time friends. My son, me, and "The Mustard Seed Man" went on a test drive. This was no ordinary test drive. We were able to drive the car both in town and on the interstate highway to really get the feel on how it handled in both city and highway. "The Mustard Seed Man" knew his job and this car. He explained every thing about this car in detail. It was like having the vehicle designers right there explaining every detail about the car. I was impressed! I have purchased many cars in my lifetime, but no other car salesman knew about the car they were selling or seemed to care. "The Mustard Seed Man" has done his homework on this car! He allowed my 22 year-old son to also test drive the car. We arrived back at the dealership and found out this vehicle was the correct color I wanted and it had had every option I wanted except two, winter floor liners and mud guards. No problem here, Mr. Larry Keen and "The Mustard Seed Man" said they would include them. Where do I sign? Next I went to see Mr. Kevin Tabereaux. This guy is awesome! He explained all the additional goodies I could get with the purchase, including the warranty, which I purchased, along with several other items. He knew his job and everything he was offering. He explained everything in detail and even put up with a few stupid questions I had. I was very impressed by his knowledge of everything he was offering. After we all completed the deal, all of the employees congratulated both my son and I on the purchase. This says a lot about the people you have working for you at your Joplin dealership. Disgusted with internet staff - said they had "a few things" that met my specs (budget, features etc.) Then I show up for my appointment (because I did set an appointment) and they have ONE thing to show me, it doesn't have the features I asked for, AND it was 3k over my budget. There were no choices and the single thing they did show me did not meet my specs. Sales staff was flummoxed because they hadn't been told my specs and didn't know what I was even there to see. (So my "appointment" didn't exist.) On site staff was nice, very kind really, but total waste of my time. I despise people who waste my time. When they deliberately lie to me just so they CAN waste my time, it's even worse. I wanted to like Fletcher, but I wound up driving to another city to buy. read more
