wall damaged. Best Buy hired the delivery/installer guy of Metro To Town.

If I have a choice, I would give them zero rating. On Saturday, November 10, 2018, I went to Best Buy where I purchased a Whirlpool washer. Best Buy salesman told me to buy the two new hoses that would include the installation. I trusted Best Buy to send a professional plumber to do the job. I believed that Best Buy cares for their customers and would provide a professional plumber who knew what they were doing and would give the best service possible. If I had known that the installer (Metro To Home) that Best Buy sent was not professional, I would not have hired their delivery person to install the washer. The washer was to be delivered on Friday, November 16, 2018. The delivery people from Metro To Town were not on time. Two men carried the washer up to the second floor of my house into my laundry room. While the older man was in the laundry room installing the washer, I heard him call out to the younger guy to go out to their truck to get a pair of pliers. I handed the locking pliers which I had, for him to tighten the hoses to the taps. Instead, he only tightened the hot tap and forgot to tighten the cold tap using the plier. And that had caused water leak which damaged the wall, ceiling and floor to my house. I did not stay to watch him install the washer as I trusted that Best Buy had sent someone who knew how to install the washer properly. I signed the paper as he told me that he had completed the job and had installed the washing machine that I had purchased. I trusted that Best Buy had sent someone who was competent to do the job and believed that Best Buy would be liable if anything went wrong with the installation. Once the installation was complete, the installer (Metro To Town) that Best Buy sent did not turn on the taps connected to the washer to show me that the hoses were connected properly and that they did not leak. As I am not a plumber and know nothing about plumbing I did not think to ask the installer to do this at that time. The installer pushed the washer back against the wall where the blue and red connecting taps are located, hiding them from view. Approximately a month later, after I had noticed that there was a problem with water damage to my house from the improper installation of the washer, I contacted Best Buy to advise them of the improper installation and also to advise them that I will be seeking compensation from them. When their delivery manager of METRO TO TOWN called me, she told me that their company rule is to tighten the connection hoses with their hands and not with pliers. If I had known that their company rule is to tighten it with their fingers, I would not have hired them. My conclusion is that BEST BUY hires METRO TO TOWN to deliver and install, and their rules are they only use their fingers to tighten when they do installation. They do not use tools. BEWARE, DO NOT SIGN THE PAPER RIGHT AWAY! I KNOW THEY WILL FORCE YOU TO SIGN. BE STRONG. DO NOT SIGN. AND MAKE SURE THEY SHOW YOU ALL THE PRODEDURES THAT THEY HAVE DONE THE PROPER WORK FIRST!! LET THEM LEAVE WITHOUT SIGNING THE PAPER IF THEY SHOWED SIGN THAT THEY ARE IN HURRY TO LEAVE.

I can usually find what I'm looking for at Best Buy. I bought my beloved digital camera here and many other electronic like my home phones, memory cards, CDs, DVDs, phone head set, etc. The prices are fairly good and comparable with other stores like it. However, when I do have a question I often have a hard time finding someone to help me or when I do get bounced from sales person to sales person, department to department. The attitude that "this is not my department" bugs me.

Horrible customer service. Laughed at my sister and I when we tried to find a battery for a computer, and made us feel dumb.

I spoke with the receptionist, who said she would contact upper management and get back to me, but I never received a call. A couple of days later, I stopped by again, this time asking to speak with a salesperson, as an Apple service technician had recommended it. As soon as I started to explain my issue, the salesperson immediately refused to send my case to Apple, claiming it would cost too much. He then began yelling at me very loudly, telling me to leave because it was "private property," and verbally abused me, calling me names. I was in shock and couldn't believe how aggressively he was acting. I honestly felt scared, as if he might even become physically abusive. His name is Mark Nelson, and his behavior was completely unprofessional, frightening, and unacceptable. I will never return to this store, and I cannot recommend it to anyone. It was rude and disturbing, and I feel it's important to report this so that it doesn't happen to anyone else. Please avoid this store.

This significantly reduced the lifespan of software support and performance, something I believe should've been clearly disclosed at the time of sale. When I brought this up, the store claimed they didn't know the model year, but as a certified Apple retailer, I find that extremely hard to believe. Most recently, I returned to the store on April 7, 2025, to have the iMac checked, already knowing (based on Apple's own diagnostic support) that the issues were related to its age. I explained this to both the service desk and to Jessica, who helped me when I picked it up. Her customer service was not professional -- she appeared frustrated with the number of customers waiting and did not speak kindly or respectfully to anyone at the desk. Jessica brought my computer out from the back carrying it in her hands, not in the box I had originally provided for protection. I immediately noticed a substance smeared on the screen. When I asked about it, she responded dismissively, saying it was from her hands, then casually sprayed Windex on a cloth and wiped the screen -- a method that is not recommended for Apple displays. I was shocked by the lack of care and attention shown to such an expensive piece of equipment. For a premium product and premium price, this experience has left me feeling completely misled and disappointed -- both with the product I received and the treatment I received from staff. Not what I'd expect from an Apple-certified store. Now, just five years later, I'm left needing to purchase a new computer -- something I wouldn't expect after investing in what I believed was a brand-new iMac. I highly recommend that anyone considering a purchase from this store ask for -- and receive written proof of -- the computer's manufacturing date before completing a sale. Don't assume what you're buying is current just because it's being sold as new
