I just set up a appointment to bring my Apple Ipad in for service (needed to replace screen). Anyway, on Apple website, I was directed to Best Buy and Geek Squad and I was given an appointment time of 12:00 pm Saturday. I arrived at the desk at 12:15 (so yes, I was late by 15 minutes - no question). There was no one at the counter and one man was seated and being assisted / waiting for attendant to bring him his computer. When I was able to speak to the person behind the counter, he first asked me if I was enrolled in applecare (my company actually does quite a bit of business with these folks/Apple). I told the person that i was not sure. He went on to tell me because it was now 17 minutes after my appointment, I would have to make another appointment. I asked him if I could just leave my Ipad and pickup at a later time/date when fixed (seems reasonable). The customer service person said no that was not possible - I guess you cannot leave then device but instead you have to stand there and wait for them to fix? Sounds totally like an inefficient way to do things. I asked him what type of customer service is this? This is the Geek Squad - they are terrible from jump street; but than they are a third party provider for Apple - make you wonder how Apple stay in business. If I go to see my doctor, and I am 15 minutes late, they still manage to work me in. I guess these computer specialist are much more critical and time sensitive. Is that the problem or is it a matter of them not knowing how to service a client? I don't know how you employ third parties like Geek Squad for your Apple customers and keep your doors open. That is week and the terrible service needs to be shared by both GeeK Squad and Apple - just terrible. This is at the Best Buy in Covington!! Rip off- no matter what they say, their tv's are useless and over rated. Cracked screen on day one. Don't get sucked into buying insurance- another slithery snake sucking your money out of your wallet. Geek squad go to hell. Best buy banned for life! Went in to purchase a new iPhone 8 Plus. They gave me the wrong phone. When I went back to get it changed out, I had to wait for 45 minutes to get the issue fixed, only to find out they charged me a 35 dollar restocking fee for bringing that the product that they mistakenly gave me. This is why people shop online. read more

good selection but sometimes it is difficult to find help. In TV and computer depts they are swarming around to sell you something with an extended warranty. I needed a $ 99 docking station for an I phone. I had to get door greeter to page someone to help then the person they sent was nice but not knowledgeable. They sold me one that was NOT compatible for my phone. read more

I have always had good experiences here. Everytime I bought something the staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The ones who are not tech savvy would lead me to someone who was. The management have always tried to be helpful if a problem did occur. Buy from here always. read more

This is the BEST Best Buy. The staff is always friendly and helpful, especially the IT department. I recently had a computer issues.... Shane and Eric were amazing!!!! Ready for this guys?? We purchased a Samsung Note 3 and a smart watch on Dec 8 for our son for a Christmas present. We explained to the sales rep, this was a Christmas present, and Voila, she hit a few buttons, explained for us to come on back after we gave it to him and we could activate it, and even teach him how to use his new stuff. We were good to go with future activation all set up. Now here comes the kick in the teeth! Day after Christmas, we bring very excited 15 year old, coolest cat in town, to best buy to get his phone and watch all set up, just to be told that we jail broke and rooted the phone (whatever that means) so this voids all warranties and we were just stuck with this broken phone. I figured since I was stuck with this very expensive phone, I would try on my own to get it working, and discovered music, pictures, and other things downloaded on this brand new phone dated before we even purchased it. Anyways, I truly hope this review helps this not happen to anyone else. Oh, and since we bought it on the 8th we couldn't exchange it at another store, because our 14 days to return it were up, and extended holiday return policy doesn't apply to phones. I think there should be a 0 star option, because that's what they deserve. read more
