    Pixel Watch 4

I came in intending to make a purchase. Best buy is the only retailer that had the pixel watch for LTE in stock. Upon entering the store I asked an associate for assistance and she went and got Marcus. Marcus asked how could he help me and what product was I looking for? I politely responded that I am here for the pixel watch 4 LTE version and he said we do have it in stock and he'll be right back. Marcus checked me out and he also offered the extended warranty. But what surprised me was that he shook my hand and thanked me for my business. You do not see this happening often in many retailers or businesses. His customer service was already top notch but to thank me for my business and shake my hand pushed it over the top. This is the best service that I've ever received shopping at Best buy. Upon exiting, I asked the security guard if I could speak with a manager to express how satisfied I was with my visit today and to ensure that Marcus gets the appropriate feedback and recognition. The security guard simply stated to do a survey online which my receipt did not have. So this is my only form of expressing my gratitude and I hope that management does read these messages and celebrates their employees who truly make a difference.

Always the spot for new tech!

Well... I wasn't expecting much when I went to check on my older, non working iPads. I scheduled the appointment and everything was business as usual. The guy at the desk was ok. Not overly inviting but not surly. Your typical tech type. It didn't take long for him to appraise my items as what he continued to references as "obsolete". Which I get is Apple terminology, but ok. So when I asked what my options were he plainly said, "Recycle it?". Not the diagnosis I was hoping for but I was also prepared for such news. When I asked him if they had any other options in store that I might be able to purchase, he very dryly offered, "They'll help you with that, over there." Ok. You have a computer in front of you, you don't wanna try and look... never mind. Ok. So maybe a solid C experience. It's fine. I came prepared to spend a couple hundred bucks so that my son could have a working iPad for his school assignments. So my wife and I walk towards the iPad, past a gaggle of workers just hanging out and talking. One even had his uniform shirt in his back pocket, but hey. I just assumed he was off! None the less, we walked clear across the store, exhibiting all the signs of people looking for something and yet got no help at all. Fine. Maybe they're all bound by their areas. I get that too. So we find the iPads, start inspecting them and the corresponding prices, and we see something we may be interested in. Mind you, we'd been thinking about this for months so we've seen options online but I always prefer going in store. 10 minutes of my wife and I conferring and we're now to the point where we are wondering if we can get some help! In the Apple department! I'm just saying.. if I worked in an electronics store, I'd definitely be vigilant of the area that has high priced, hot ticket items! Anyways, after my wife went to find us an associate, he finally came over. His demeanor was nice but his knowledge of available product was horrible! He was trying to tell us that the cheapest product was $100 more than one of the items on the floor. And when I asked if the display price was incorrect, he realized that there was a better option. At least he didn't try to convince us that it was wrong. He also showed us on his device the prices that were available online. Yet we were also able to find cheaper ones ourselves which he confirmed once again. It was a rough day. We ended up just not getting anything and just leaving disappointed. I normally only buy things on the second floor and they're normally good, but the first floor workers... man. So take from this share what you will, but all I can say was this was a wildly disheartening experience and it may be a long while before my family and I make it through there again. Thank god I don't Black Friday shop or I might be reeling. lol

We just completed a purchase and installation for a new dryer for my dad's house. We actually purchased the dryer in store and scheduled for delivery and installation as well as haul away of the old dryer. I just wanted to say that the process was so painless. The sales people that helped us was very professional and friendly. He explained every detail to us and and answered all of our questions. The person who did the delivery was awesome. His name is Jonathan and he called us prior to arrival and he did the installation and haul away in just a few minutes. I believe the installer was a third party, but I wanted to commend him also for doing such a great job! I'll be honest a lot of these big box retailers these days sometimes it's difficult to get any type of customer service. I have to say my experience with Best Buy has always been excellent. The sales people are always very helpful and very knowledgeable, and most of all friendly and professional.

Our washing machine recently went on the blink. We've also had our dryer for a number of years also…read moreand wouldn't have been surprised if it had gone the same way too. Okay, time to buy a washer and dryer, as major appliances these days have a short life and not worth repairing. My stress level rises, as there are limited stores that stock major appliances and need to order from the Mainland, which will take days. Until we found the Costco Wholesale Home Showroom in Pearl City, which opened on 10/11/24. It's a brick-and-mortar store that took the place of the Sears Distribution Store where you can browse in person of large furniture and equipment items. Hubby knew what he was looking for, as he tried to do his research in knowing which brands to look for because of various reasons (hard to find parts, product problems, etc.). He was looking for the Maytag brand. Costco has some special rules in selling its furniture and large appliances: * Costco Wholesale membership is required to make purchases. As soon as you enter the Showroom, you must scan your membership card against a machine. * The showroom allows for a number of large items (TVs, furniture, appliances, exercise equipment, outdoor furniture, couches, dining tables, bedroom furniture, beds, washers/dryers, refrigerators, massage chairs, credenzas, etc.) to be placed in one area to be sold. The regular Costco stores lack the space to store large furniture and equipment for its members to view them all at one time. The showroom interior is spacious, clean, and air-conditioned. * The showroom requires you to order items that are delivered with an estimated delivery date to the member's address, installed as needed, and the initial item hauled away. There may be shipping, delivery and hall-away fees. (For a washer, I was quoted a shipping fee of $29, which was nominal.) Prices appear reasonable. This contrasts with the regular Costco stores in that if you purchase a large item such as this, you haul it away on your own and dispose the initial item on your own. We often wish we could purchase large items this way; however, because we don't own a truck and are elderly, we would have to bother family members for assistance. Delivery occurred without any hitch. Costco provided the Board of Water Supply's Water Sensible Rebate Program application for completion. * The Showroom acts as an online shopping account. One could make purchases and place orders at home using a computer. The Showroom has staff to assist if needed. As hubby and I are technology challenged, we welcome the assistance of staff to ensure that we ordered correctly. Our experience with the Costco staff, Leanne and Maddy, was extremely friendly, patient and helpful. * Hours of operation differ from regular Costco Wholesale stores. The Showroom hours of operation are: Mon closed, Tues to Sat 10a to i6p, and Sun 10a to 5p. There are no Executive Member hours from 9a to 10a daily. Living on an island has its drawbacks, as there are limited stores where you can purchase furniture and major appliances. Glad that Costco has established a Showroom on Oahu that has reasonable prices and is convenient for its members to purchase these items without having to haul it away on your own and dispose of the non-working items.

The delivery team arrived approximately 40 minutes late without any notice or communication…read more Immediately upon arrival, the driver stated he was "not happy" and began arguing with me about the delivery before even making any meaningful attempt to move the refrigerator. The refrigerator was supposed to be delivered upstairs into my home, and the stairs were clearly disclosed in the delivery instructions ahead of time. One of the delivery workers stated that the refrigerator could potentially be brought upstairs, but the driver refused to even attempt the delivery. The refrigerator was never removed from the dolly, lifted, repositioned, or properly assessed for delivery. The driver repeatedly stated he was not going to move it at all and left the refrigerator sitting in my garage. During the delivery, I contacted Island Movers customer service and spoke with an employee named Cece. I found her behavior extremely disrespectful and unprofessional, as she laughed during the phone call while I was trying to resolve the situation. I was shocked by the lack of professionalism and concern shown throughout the entire ordeal. In an effort to help complete the delivery and eliminate liability concerns, I even offered to sign a waiver accepting responsibility for any possible damage to the refrigerator, floors, or property. Despite this, the driver still refused to make any attempt whatsoever to complete the delivery. I had to take time off work for this appointment, only for the delivery crew to essentially refuse service after arriving. The refrigerator is still sitting unusable in my garage due to their refusal to complete the delivery. I am extremely disappointed that Costco contracts with a company that operates in this manner.

This was sitting in my drafts for a while, like for only 2 years and some, cause I've been so ADHD…read more Our sucky a$$ Maytag Bravos XL top-load washer failed (unresponsive control panel) and I was hand washing clothes for days. I got tired, literally, and desperately cried for help but my husband was like,"Nah, do your work you so called homemaker. The clothes aren't gonna wash themselves." JK. He never said that and I never asked for help. I did some reflection and thought about how this is normal for some of our family in the P.I. In that moment, I felt grateful to even have owned a washing machine. I hand wash my delicates, but that's an occasional thing and this handwashing method for a volleyball team household size was becoming a thing. Not having a functioning washer taught me that I'm not cut out for third world country life. I really needed our washing machine to be replaced pronto. I've always loved the top loaders that had an agitator. It cleans so much better than the BS HE washers without 'em. I absolutely did not want another Maytag unless it was the 575, which has recently been discontinued and replaced with model MVWP585/MVWP586. I knew of Speed Queen because I've seen them before. I did research and my heart was set on getting one. I called another company that supposedly carries them to be told that they'd sell to me only if I had a laundromat (*fingers crossed* maybe in the future). Newtown was second on the list so I contacted them. It took many attempts to reach someone as their line was busy. When I finally got through, I spoke to Mabel. She told me they had ONE LEFT and it was the model I wanted (TC5). I asked if she could hold it for me, pulled out cash (I initially asked if I could write a check or pay w/a CC) and headed there in heavy westbound traffic to pay for it. Didn't bother with browsing the showroom, but it seemed like they had a good selection. Before collecting payment, Mabel showed me the Speed Queen and briefly went over the important stuff + gave me some tips. I don't have much to say about the delivery part besides that Carl did come within the specified time window. He was only able to drop it off downstairs. My husband and I carried it up ourselves. Carl did mention that he could've hauled our old one away but it wasn't ready. If I knew, I would've prepared it for him. From my understanding, they were no longer interested in carrying Speed Queen because the demand wasn't high while the shipping fees were. However, it sounded like they'd be willing to order it for you. It would cost ~ $2k If you want a Speed Queen, give them a call. Things may have changed since. 2 years with mine and I'm still happy as ever! Anyway, so glad to have had the privilege of working with this local, family-owned business.
