The Urban Wood Lab Store specializes in producing high quality wood products from local urban trees. All of their wood comes from trees that were cut down for a reason other than it's timber value. Traditionally urban wood has gone to waste with much of it ground up into wood chips or cut up into firewood. Urban Wood Lab would rather save beautiful logs & mill them into usable products such as lumber, wood slabs, table bases, mantles & other creative wood products. Not only is the farm family run (by a spectacular multigenerational family I might add), but it's filled with all the magic and mystery of the season in the best ways possible. I can't imagine the stress of running a seasonal operation, one where people only consider the here and now and don't recognize the YEAR LONG process that organizing, setting up, planning, creating takes but the O'Malleys do it flawlessly and every year surprise and delight us beyond compare. We love kicking off the holiday season with a trip to the farm to pick up a Christmas tree but more than that, we love the festive and unique experience they offer for us and our three little kids. Let's start with the FREE inclusions...big bonfires, pictures with Santa, hot chocolate and popcorn, shots of Jameson for the moms and dads just trying to stay warm this and every holiday season, funny and cute little holiday headbands (which are such a hit with the littles), holiday photo ops, and the scavenger hunt hayride, which is a family favorite. Then add on the special little extras like snacks (pretzels, churros, chili?!), and s'mores, and even PHOTOS WITH SANTAS REINDEER?!! It's truly like seeing your childhood dreams become a reality. If you haven't had a chance to visit, please do! You and your children (or just your inner child) will thank you!

Josh came out to look over the work, I told him I wanted not only the trees cut down but also to grind all the stumps, total clean up and bring in fresh top soil and reseed these areas. Because of the tornado that hit the Lake Geneva area around the time I requested an estimate I told Josh to take care of the residents in this heavily hit area first, my work could wait! The crew arrived shortly after 1:00 on a Thursday afternoon. The quality of the work was excellent, super team work! All the work was completed around 5:00-ish that day. They left my yard in beautiful shape, everything was totally cleaned up, no trace that equipment was used, no damage! The value for the work was on par with other tree services. I am very pleased with the quality of work and highly recommend this tree service. Great job.
